Overall perspective: - Honest - Effective service - Fair pricing Side note: My dad was a street mechanic many years ago and had always highly praised Joe for his honesty, seriousness, effective work, fair pricing, and knowledge. Why honesty matters: - The owner Joe is honest about his inspections. Doesn't give you an exaggeration of "all the repairs that must be done," he tells you what his machine shows him, his experience after so many years, and then gives you your options. Cars can be tricky so having someone like him break it down like that is a blessing that saves you money. Why effective service matters: - I had an extremely stubborn issue with my car and it took Joe about two weeks to address this issue. It wasn't a tough/difficult job, but rather I was saving hundreds of dollars by purchasing a used part. The part in question kept turning up faulty and Joe's feedback to me was always, "We'll keep searching for that part until we find it and make sure your car gets rid of this issue." (It was something along those lines, don't recall word for word.) Why fair pricing matters: - I tend to work on my car myself but when things get too difficult I defer to the professionals. When looking for possible places to get the service I needed done, most shops were within the price range, some very far off, but Joe (the owner) has been consistent with fair pricing for years. Probably close to 15+ years. Despite multiple times the part in question being replaced, which means labor had to be repeated multiple times, my price did not change or go up or have any sudden surprises at the end. Final thoughts / comments: - be patient, you're not the only customer - Joe's reliability as an honest mechanic/owner isn't something that he just started doing, he's been this person for a long time - the man is extremely helpful and willing to work with you and provide you options
