I know a lot of dealer service departments tend to get bad reviews, but I had a positive experience working with Scott in the service department. Very courteous, prompt and accommodating.

I made an appointment for Monday, January 6th. I dropped the car off and the advisor told me it may take a couple of days before a technician could look at it. On the morning of 8th day, I called and left a message for the advisor. On the morning of 9th day, I called and left a message for the advisor. I called again in the afternoon. Finally, the advisor called me back and told me the issues. I told him I don't want anything done to the vehicle. He said he would call me back later that day when the vehicle was ready. I never received a call. I picked up the vehicle on the afternoon of 10th day after not receiving a call back. I was charged $100 for something after I told them not to fix anything. Why did I make an appointment? This is the third different survey I've been asked to complete. Why couldn't the service advisor have that level of communication?

The work completed on my vehicle was completed satisfactory although it took a whole month. I had it brought in for Audio repair. There was minimal communication from the Service dept to me. I had to call every week for an update and sometimes my calls were not returned…

Service took entirely too long. Four plus weeks to diagnose a shorted component is ridiculous. Then an "electrical" diagnostic for $450 is crazy.

Scheduled the service which included a recall. Performed timely and well. Was done with the recall evaluation and the 45K service in a couple of hours.

I had an outstanding experience at Landers McLarty Chevrolet! I came in for an oil change and tire rotation, and the service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was professional, efficient, and incredibly friendly. My vehicle was serviced quickly without any hassle, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here, and I truly appreciate the attention to detail and care they put into their work. If you're looking for reliable and speedy service, Landers McLarty Chevrolet is the place to go! Highly recommend!

Getting information about your vehicle is impossible with this “Service Department.” Don't bring your vehicle here, they will take your money and let your car sit in a warehouse untouched for weeks. If you have a Chevy warranty take it somewhere else, Landers McLarty service department is absolutely horrible at their job.

I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. It took over 2 hours to do both when it once took less than an hour. Service has gone done at Landers McLarty over the last year and a half or so.

I have never left a negative review for a business but I feel the need to share to anyone booking service here to drive to Fayetteville for the dealer there, instead. If I could leave no stars, I would. This service department booked an appointment for me for a diagnostic to be done and failed to tell me that this diagnostic would not be completed for 3-5 days. But, if I came and picked up my vehicle and brought it back in 3-5 days I lost my place in the “queue”. So, they book an appointment for a vehicle and let it sit for days without being touched for a simple diagnostic. This is not for an actual service. This is to just find out what the problem may possibly be. They told me this is just protocol and it’s because they have 60+ vehicles at a time. I have never heard of this process in my life and when I called Fayetteville, they assured me for a simple diagnostic service it is SAME DAY & then service and parts is another discussion. So, I just came to say, go to Fayetteville instead to avoid yourself days and days without a vehicle for absolutely no reason.

Oil change and tire rotation. Everything went very smoothly. My appointment time was respected and I was in and out in about 90 minutes.

Chevrolet could have done better when I set up the appointment for the windshield wiper recall there was a week between when I made the appointment and the day I was supposed to drop it off. They could have ordered the part ahead of time which they didn't and then a mechanic told me they would get it done by the end of the day or the next day when I dropped it off they didn't. Then I called Friday and to see if they finished it and they didn't. Then they said it would be ready Tuesday after the weekend which is ridiculous no critical thinking at all. So I don't recommend using them if you only have one car. Do better Chevrolet.

Had an appointment for 8 and opted to wait. The oil change took over 2 hours. Fox news was blaring the waiting room making the wait fairly miserable. I wasn’t going to leave a review but they keep calling asking me to leave a review.. so. Will get my oil changed somewhere else next time.

I must say, this was an unfortunate interaction with this service department. A few weeks ago, I dropped my truck off due a grounding issue which caused my fuse block to become melted. The service department diagnosed the issue and went over pricing for the repair. I needed the repair because my truck wouldn’t start due to the shortage in the wires, the grounding issue, and the fuse block. That’s fine. The ultimate concern I had is when I went to pick up my truck, as soon as I cranked it, I turned on my air, all of a sudden, a burning smell coming through my vents. A smell that I have never smelled or dealt with at all in my truck. I brought it up to the service technician and I expressed my level of concern because I did not have this issue before I brought it in. And I asked, What Happened while it was here? He said i don’t know what it could be, but how about you drive it a few more days and see if it clears up. I said okay. I drove a few days and when it started to get unbearable, I took it back and smoke was coming from my vents and the smell was extremely strong. Even the Maintenance Foreman came out and got light headed from it. So I asked the question, what happened to my vehicle from the time I dropped it off to you guys and from the time you fixed my fuse block? Because deep down in my heart, I felt like something was tampered with or hooked up differently than it should. They said leave with us, because that’s dangerous to drive. We will diagnose it. A week later from that day, the diagnosis came, I receive a call, and all I could hear was it’s gonna be $4100, the price is $4100, do you want to go ahead and get it repaired? I explained my concern that I felt like something went wrong with my last repair which may have caused this, but the technician went into defense mode saying that has nothing to do with this! I told them that I would call him back since I was at work. I receive a call back from the same technician and hour later, asking me did I want to go ahead and schedule, seeming like I was being rushed to pay over $4,000. I said, I haven’t decided yet. I made my way to Chevrolet after work to meet with another technician that I had been dealing with before, named Brandon. I was told he was in a meeting, that’s fine, I waited. I was told an hour later that he is out of the meeting. It still took him an hour to see me after that, even though someone said when he got out of the meeting that he would be right with me. So a total of 2 hours waiting to speak to someone. When I went to the loaner truck to grab my Gatorade, I seen Brandon cutting up with someone and laughing. Keeping me waiting. Not professional. As I finally got to talk with him after two hours, I express the little bit of unfairness I feel with my vehicle and the fact that I feel like something was done to my truck while it was in you all’s care. Imaging feeling like you car is fixed and then when you pick it up, $4000 more worth of damage needs to be done when there was no issue of this before I brought it to you all. And I feel like all you guys cared about is getting $4000 and not being concerned with how it may look on them as a company. What it boils down, is I felt that something happened with the first repair that caused an extra $4000 worth of repair to have to be done. I felt like, nobody there cared about it, but wanted the money. Pretty bad experience. I felt time was wasted and was an unfair situation.

Had an issue with unexpected charges for standard maintenance that should be covered for new vehicles—asked them to specifically give me an update on how the rotors look and apparently telling me that info is $25? Customer service is a string of voicemails, explaining what was going on with people who just pass me on to someone else where I go to another voicemail and have to wait for a call back only to get passed on to another voicemail. So horrible experience with surprise costs and unresponsiveness. Just be aware.

I scheduled my appointment on my Chevy app. Drop my vehicle off at Landers McLarty Chevrolet. A shuttle was waiting to take me back to work and later pick me up to retrieve my vehicle. Great experience everyone was very kind.

2023 Corvette C8 Z51: The Landers Chevy service department has had a Talk to J-man moment. This place, under the competent guidance of Brandon (Service manager), has changed in so many evident ways, it a whole different beast now. I have, in the past had several problems under the old Department's Management Team. Both in the service bay and valet system. Nightmares to put it in one word. Well, the problem children are Gone I took my Vette in for trans oil change, trans filter change, engine oil change with filter. The vehicle was treated properly, serviced expertly, in a timely manner. Yes the cost was $2200 buckeroos. But this car ain't no 1968 VW Bug. No fuss no mess. My service writer, Kyle, took his job seriously and approached his work with an eye on every detail. The work was all done by technician Houston. A decent, well trained, expert tech who specializes in Transmissions. I am going to ask for whenever I come in for fluid changes. The C8 Corvette is the Chevy Motor Division's loved and acclaimed American Sports car and premier vehicle. These guys treat it as such. Thanks to the Landers Service Team . I have been purchasing my vehicles from Landers McLarty Chevrolet in Huntsville, Alabama since 2007, and I can honestly say I have always been very pleased with every purchase. From start to finish, the experience has consistently been professional, smooth, and stress-free. Their service department is exceptional—always accommodating, always prompt, and genuinely focused on taking care of the customer. One thing I especially appreciate is the courtesy van service. Anytime my vehicle needs work that takes a while, they are happy to take me home and then bring me back to pick up my vehicle. That level of convenience and care truly sets them apart. After nearly two decades of loyalty, Landers McLarty Chevrolet continues to earn my trust. Great people, great service, and great vehicles. And by the way… I love my Chevy! 🚗💙
