I took my wrx in here about a year and a half ago. It had a bunch of things replaced and fixed. They knowingly put the motor back in with a coil pack that was zip tied to keep the plug from falling out. You would think a shop would replace or at least tell you about this while they have your motor out in shop for a month. Not letting you drive a car around that misfires from time to time. Super disappointed to find this out after working on it and replacing multiple things finding more zip ties along the way…… Is this better???

I took our 06 Forester in for check engine lite. Computer check had it as a small vac leak. They went over all possible hoes and possible areas and could not find one. They suggested a smoke test,which they do not do. When I when to pay,they said I did not owe anything,as they did not fix it. What a refreshing concept. I will use them again and send friends there as well. Tom

I have had the courtesy of visiting these guys more than once. My first encounter with them, they were able to replace an idler pulley due to the excessive squeaking sound it was making. And when it ended up coming back some time later, I brought my car back to them, and Chris and I were sure my alternator was going out upon first sight and sound. They ordered a new one that day, slapped it on the next day, but it still produced that sound. Nate was able to deduce that the squeak was coming from the old, worn tensioner pulley, as well as a serpentine belt that had seen better days. Not only did they not stick me with the new alternator, (which aren't cheap, mind you...) but they replaced the aforementioned tensioner pulley and serpentine belt for less than what was initially quoted for the replacement alternator I didn't end up needing. Nate and Chris were well versed and mechanically sound, and they were able to put into layman's terms the malfunctions they spotted and fixed step by step, and were happy to do so. It's refreshing to find an auto body shop that gives a damn about the concern of the car owner and the quality of the work, not just the money. Let's just say, as long as Legacy has their shingle open, I will be patronizing there!

Fantastic service, friendly people. i've brought multiple cars in to be worked on by legacy. they have pointed out issues with the car that would have been expensive to fix regardless of where I went due to the parts needed but instead of giving just a price and sending me on my way, they explained what was causing the problem and offered cost effective alternatives. I dont plan on using any other mechanics in town. They are awesome!

Took our wrx into here a couple months ago for power steering leaking and to check a noise in transmission and oil change.Took them weeks to get ahold of our warranty company which is whatever, but still didn’t get the car back for over a month. They said they don’t mess with transmissions so that wasn’t addressed, and then 3 weeks later the power steering they supposedly replaced is leaking again and fluid looks like the old fluid it had in it to begin with, The oil was way over filled and the car has been getting hot since it was picked up. I went under the car to change oil the other day and noticed theres only two bolts in the cross support bar that runs under the car and both were falling out. So needless to say, less than stoked about the experience with them.

I don't know why I haven't left these guys a review yet. I am a small business owner with a small fleet of trucks on top of my personal cars. Chris has been my main contact there for thousands of dollars in work over the years. He is always available and quick to diagnose my problems. Even at times meeting me on the side of the road and or a parking lot before the tow truck arrives. They are more than fair. Very affordable and after they diagnose the car they hardly have any suprizes later down the road or repair. I honestly can't say enough about this company and their service. I especially recommend them is you have a fleet of vehicles for your business. They will save you money and have you back to work in no time.

These guys are awesome! I brought my car in to get a full suspension job, they quoted me around just over $1500 and when it came time to pay, I was just under $1500 which was awesome!!! They did a wonderful job on my car and I will 100% be going to these guys for any future work. My son brought his first car (a used 2015 WRX) to Legacy Motorsportz one week after he bought it (from a dealer in Redmond) because his check engine light was on. In addition, I wanted a complete safety inspection done. My son is new to Bend so we went on Reddit to look up shops and Legacy Motorsportz was highly recommended. Many people mentioned they were honest and very knowledgeable. Since my son is in college and I was paying the bill, I asked them to keep me in the loop with repairs and they called me before doing any work was done to make sure I wanted to do the work and provided estimated costs. Nathan was also patient with all my questions. My son picked up the car and said it runs awesome now! I highly recommend Legacy Motorsportz.

I have a 2009 Forester XT that I bought from a private seller around six years ago. Due to the car's age and maintenance (or lack thereof) I've ran into some issues over the years. Nathan and his team at Legacy Motorsportz have done two major jobs on my car, transmission replacement and more recently head gaskets. Nathan was 100% upfront and honest about timeframes, pricing, processes, etc. Nathan keeps you in the loop, I never felt like I had to reach out first for an update and I never was either. The pricing at Legacy is extremely competitive, which is why the two largest repairs I've made to my car were done there, but I also knew the brand of the parts going into my car which was OEM or equivalent. Lastly, Nathan is very good at walking you through what he'll be doing, the progress he's made on repairs that were agreed upon already, things he noticed that you should be aware of, etc. Sometimes you'll get one or two of those qualities in a car mechanic/shop, but Legacy Motorsportz is legit in all the above. I highly recommend them for anyone needing car work/maintenance done, Subaru owner or not.

Honestly i had a lot of issues with my car over the span of three months. I went to sp auto here in bend at first and they charged me almost 800 dollars for a 40 dollar part. So after that for the rest of the work i needed i found legacy and they did all of the rest of the work. They constantly provided fair prices and updates on my cars progress. They regularly found me good deals on quality parts and even though the work did take a long time to complete it was of exceptional quality. They earned a customer for as long as im living in bend and i will recommend them to absolutely everyone.

These guys are amazingly reasonable and honest. They bent over backwards to diagnose an engine problem with my truck that I couldn't find, and they fixed it up just in time to tow my car to the track! It was a very strange issue and they diagnosed and fixed it quickly and accurately. Bring your vehicle to these guys and let the results do the talking, you won't regret it.

Legacy Motorsportz is the best mechanic shop I've ever taken my cars to. I've taken a few different vehicles here and I've always been satisfied with the work they've done. What I appreciate about them the most is they are always honest, they don't up sale me or lead me to believe my car needs more work than is absolutely necessary. They are patient and professional, they welcome any questions I have about my vehicle or how something works without getting frustrated or condescending. Their prices seem comparable or sometimes less than other private shops and almost always way less than the dealerships. I would recommend this business to anyone!

Big props to the guys at Legacy Motor! I’m not a mechanic, so when my car started making some concerning noises, I had no idea what the issue was. It would’ve been easy for a shop to say I needed expensive repairs, like new wheel bearings. Instead, the team at Legacy Motor took the time to diagnose it properly and found it was just a defective brake pad that was still under warranty. They saved me a lot of money and stress.
