Brought in my 99 Dakota that wouldn't shift into overdrive. The first tech took the time to suggest that I address a vacuum leak and top off the fluid before proceeding with the diagnosis. After I did this, the second tech did a good job analyzing the problem with a scanner and a road test. When I dropped my truck off for repair, they fixed it same day. Turned out it was a solenoid and the truck did not need the $1600 rebuild that another transmission shop in town (A and J Transmission) said I needed. The people at Leon's Transmission are efficient and courteous at every step. Highly recommend!

They completely replaced our transmission within two days, had a very quick turnout. Much cheaper than their competitors with awesome customer service and fast, amazing work? What's not to like?

I took my Escalade here because I thought the front differential was going bad. They quickly diagnosed it as a bad wheel bearing. I explained I had wheel bearings at home and just hadn't had time to put them on, so I wouldn't need them to repair it but I was more than willing to pay them a diagnostic fee. They told me there would be no fee. I can't speak for their workmanship, but I can speak for their integrity. Rare these days.

Top notch service. Al was on top of all changes and issues and offered fair alternatives. I had a very good experience both with quality of service and cost of repair. They went out of their way to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. I would absolutely recommend Leon's Transmission.

Brought a 2003 Vibe in for a rear differential repair. Another shop quoted me $1600 to install a used one, Leons fixed the original one for $600 and did some other work as well. Best shop in town in my opinion.

I took my vehicle to them and it took them a week to fix it. When the repairs were done my power steering went out the next day because they put the wrong fluid in my car. I was without a vehicle for an additional weekend because they were closed and when I took it back that Monday they kept it for an additional day. Now my vehicle vibrates on the highway and is severely out of line. To top it all off one of their mechanics stole my Samsung earbuds out of my car. I wouldn't recommend Leon's to my worst enemy.

Brought my car to Leon's transmission thought I had a leak on a transmission hose. They diagnosed my car found no leak from the transmission but a loose engine oil drain nut left loose from my last oil change. Thank you for finding that. I hope you enjoyed the pizza that I had delivered to the shop just for a thank you for saving me from possibly thousands of dollars in repair.

Went in thinking I would be overcharged like all auto service shops. Pleasantly surprised at the price and service. My car (transmission) is working great again for under $150. It's been over six months and still working great.

They kept in communication with updates. They got our van back on the road at a fair price. These are good people at this shop. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Leon's transmission repair. I recently had to have a transmission replacement in my Lincoln. They gave me all be available options, including less expensive options, and helped me in my decision-making process. I am extremely picky with my vehicles - obsessive-compulsive some say. :-) So if you are like me, I'm telling you this is the place to go. With such a big job, you would expect some things to go wrong or there to be issues. There were no issues whatsoever. The car runs beautifully, and they kept the interior extremely clean. I was kept me updated on the progress throughout the repair and they were always reachable by telephone, and patient with any questions that I had. If you're looking for a reliable, honest, "fix it right the first time" shop, this is your place.

I'm familiar with Leon's by having grown up nearby. I brought my truck in due to a leaking front differential and in my "professional" opinion, a failing differential. I had convinced myself that all the terrible noise coming from the front end was the differential since the front wheel bearings were 2 and 1 years old respectively. I received a call to stop by and talk about the truck. The techs told me that they were not convinced that it was the differential and would prefer that I change or have changed the passenger side wheel bearing to provide a better diagnosis. I swapped out the bearing and discovered it was the issue the whole time. Their honesty and willingness to talk with the customer is a breath of fresh air. A reasonable diagnosis fee and a conversation saved me an even larger repair bill. Thanks, Leon's.

I was having issues.I took my Cadillac up to leons two times. First time they said they couldn't find anything wrong with my transmission. Second time I had it up there they told me speed sensor. They had continued to tell me it was located on the inside and couldn't do anything about that. They quoted me 2-5k for a different transmission. My car wasn't worth putting that much money into it. So I sold it the next day considering I was not about to drop 2k or more into it. Then they had called me the next day saying that the speed sensor was in fact on the outside and that they could fix that.... but I already sold the car considering their professional feedback on the car. Now I'm out my car I loved because they didn't diagnose me properly. I won't ever take my car up here again.

I received very poor service here. I came in with an issue, possibly related to my transmission, and they gave me a rather high estimate for it. I decided sure, I guess it is worth the investment if it makes my car work. After the relatively easy repairs were completed in 2 weeks, I went back and checked the car. They thought the issue was fixed, but it was not. After another week, I went back. They described what they had done to try to fix it but admitted they could not fix it, and gave me the name of another business where I might be able to go to get it fixed. However, by this time the repairs had come back at roughly 20% over the estimate, so I paid over $500 for them to keep my vehicle for 3 weeks and to not fix it. It is worth noting that this did occur during the pandemic, so that they likely would be able to work faster during a regular time. They were fairly professional when I did talk to them, but they were slow, expensive, and most importantly did not fix my issue. I understand that things are sometimes not fixed, but they did not do right by me. If they had given me a discount or offered another service for my trouble, I would not have felt so disappointed. I wish them the best, but my experience was so horrible that I had to share it. If I could give zero stars I would. Hope this helps anyone avoid having a similar experience.

They were very professional and it did not take a long time to get in for an appointment they repaired my transmission and they were the lowest price in town. They are a family owned business and I wholeheartedly recommend them for any repair needs you need done to your transmission.

Did not take the time to properly diagnose my car. Replaced a part that had already been replaced. Didn't solve the problem. Replaced another part, didn't solve the problem. $1200. Finally dug deep enough to find the source of the problem, another $1800. Should have made the effort to find the true problem, originally.

Many people recommended Leon's and after speaking to Anne the office manager we worked through the details of my transmission replacement. I used a reman transmission from Street Smart transmissions which offers a great warranty better than most. Painless transaction other than the wait for it to be installed. Saved $$ using this method. So far very happy. Nov 2024

Speedy diagnostic! And honest - another place might have tried to replace my transmission - which may not be the problem based on the codes they found. They will be doing some seals as soon as the other code issues with the fuel sensors are corrected. So happy.

What a phenomenal experience! My gut and also driving was telling me my vehicle was potentially starting to have some transmission issues. I was getting ready to start using the vehicle more frequently and decided to do some preventive care. Did a little research online and found the type of engine I have statistically has the most transmission problems at 150k miles which my car is at. The usual fix for this is a transmission flush which costs anywhere from 200 plus. But if the vehicle doesn't need a flush you're doing more harm than good. I called four places and everyone in their own little money hungry way was trying to get me to bring the vehicle in and commit to a transmission flush before even knowing if its necessary. Now mind you I'm giving them the same data I have so it's not like the car is ready to explode. The minute I spoke to Leon's the sweetest nicest lady assured me that it's best to just take a look at it before you commit to anything and all I would cost me was 50 bucks. They took the car and the same day and called back the same day let me know everything is fine and not to worry but I should take a look at my front tires and maybe think of an alignment which they didn't even have to do or even offer the service! If I could I'd give this place 6 stars! Thanks for the lovely expirance.

I brought my transmission in for a full rebuild with my own supplied parts. They did the work and after I put everything back together there was a problem with the transmission. Instead of charging me to pull it all apart again Travis replaced a few more parts at no cost to me and it fixed the issue. They could have easily charged me for the parts and labor. If you need work done, even if its a bench job, then this is the best place around. The staff is nice and the shop is well maintained. The cost to me was very reasonable. I would recommend to anyone looking to have automotive work done
