An employee by the name of Tyler attempted to scam me into buying a new set of Tires, I came in for a break Check, and tire balance and alignment, I described how tire would aggressively wobble at highway speeds. After parking the car on the left, and only removing one tire, on the opposite side where I described the issue Tyler proceeded to tell me that in his professional opinion, trans separation was causing my tires to wobble, and was adamant I should buy a new set for $611.00 which would’ve been an additional $400, after taking my car into the Subaru dealership because my tires were under warranty. I was told my tires were in perfect condition. And the wobble was caused by A worn out control arm which was fixed. At Les Schwab what was supposed to cost Just over $200 would have turned into $611 if I had followed the advice Of Tyler Les Schwab. For this reason I cannot in good conscience recommend Les Schwab to anyone.

I had a flat on my dually, and they took the tire off, checked it in water, and discovered it was just a loose extender. They put it all back together and charged me ZERO!!! I'm a customer for life!

Very nice mechanics. I was not given a wait time, but they really didn't have to because I felt like I wasn't there very long in the first place. I had 4 tires replaced.

A few months back, I had a complete rear brake job done and was very happy with their service. Although I had developed a peculiar problem with my traction control light and bizarre behavior in that system on New Years Eve morning. I wondered if, during their brake service, something may have gotten loose and was affecting the traction system. I was really scared. Not only bc I absolutely enjoy my Rubicon and memories of our many adventures, but bc financially, it was not a good time for a major repair. I had relocated just before Thanksgiving and had just come through Christmas and was still dealing with the expenses of moving and settling in. William took Rubi to the rack, did a thorough inspection, ran a test on her, and came inside the waiting area to announce that there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, except that the new clockspring that was installed elsewhere, was not seated right, so it was reading even the slightest turns as aggressive behavior and that is what was triggering the traction control system, which is a relatively simple fix. Whew. I'm not one to get hyper angry over the unknown, but I do carry stresses pretty silently and deep, and when he relayed that news to me, my eyes welled up with tears of absolute release, and I swear I thought I was looking in the face of an angel. Lol. Thank you so much, William. There was an opportunity for you to run my wallet through a grinder, but you didn't. Your dedication to this customer and your professional integrity is greatly appreciated. Have an absolutely wonderful New Year 🥳

Great service! Went in close to end of day with exotic car. They understood my concern with placing it on rack (flat tire) and had me invloved to drive in and getting it placed inside. Did a fast and accurate job. Nice people, will use again (hopefully not too soon!)

Alex helped me yesterday on my RV trailer. Very Helpful and I would probably had my tire poped on freeway on the way to Sacramento if he wouldn't catch it and recommend it for new tires. Leswab Thanks for having great guys like Alex

I needed a brake inspection, and they didn't look busy. They met me at the door when l was parking. I hadn't been to the other location before because it was so busy. Wow the lounge is big. No loud TV. Comfortable chairs and the tables aren't outdoor furniture. I will never take my F150 to Wittmeir again. Les Schwab for life. Came back for my 20000 mile service. Had me in and out within an hour. Holman(fleet management for work truck) wouldn’t authorize a cabin filter replacement. They installed the one l bought myself for me. LES SCHWAB FOR LIFE

Third time in a row I have come here when they open for them to be short-staffed and not prioritize client work versus other work. False expectations on timelines given, the up-price for service wasn’t worth it twenty years ago. Shame this place has become so poor with the one thing they held their business standard to.

On my way to Chico my low tire sensor lit up. Pulled into les schwab and they checked and aired my tires without me even getting out of my car. Keep up great service.

Great customer service!! I appreciate their kindness so much. Thank you Andrew & Cole! I drove to Chico from Oroville to take my kids to the splash pad park & as we were getting into Chico my “check tire pressure” popped on so I stopped here. I got out to check my tires & my back left tire was super low. Andrew came to help me. He mentioned that there might be something in my tire & they can fix it for me for $20. I let him know that I didn’t even have that because I was waiting to be paid in a few days.. he told me it would be free of charge & to not worry! Cole is the one who repaired the problem with my tire & he was very nice! Thank you again! Would definitely come back.

Big thank you to Chico Les Schwab staff on Saturday July 12. I got a flat in Chester, sidewall puncture on a logging road. I called the Susanville Les Schwab first since it was closest, and the representative said they did not have my tire in stock but was able to check the other stores' stock. I called Chico to confirm they did indeed have ONE tire left that matched mine and would be open till 5 on a Saturday and could get it replaced for me right away. When I arrived, the representative immediately knew who I was and they got my car in straight away, tire replaced in less than 20 minutes. AND it was still under warranty, so no charge. No hassle, prompt, professional service. These were my first tires through Les Schwab and, ironically, it was my aunt in Chico who I always remember speaking well of Les Schwab that made me consider them when I needed my first set of tires on my new car earlier this year. So even though I live in the Bay Area, I can confirm her high regard for the Chico Les Schwab store.

I've come here twice, once for a tire inspection and topoff of air in my aged tires, that went rather smoothly. The second time I came here was for a quick inspection of my car's suspension/ball joints/ties rods/etc due to a weird sound and an overdue undercarriage checkup. I was also in to purchase new tires, and an alignment, if necessary. Before my (painlessly acquired) appointment, I was told I needed a new tie rod and alignment. At the appointment, I ended up waiting 4.5+ hours for them to deal with the issue. In the duration of repair, I was told that they recieved the wrong replacement tie rod (to fix the one that was in "disrepair"), and later, was told I infact did not need a tie rod replacement, and the one already in place was in good condition. At the end of the appointment, I received a free alignment for my patience, and a discount on my new tires. While I commend the honest and pleasant customer service (in the moment), and the recompensation in the form of a free alignment (which I have yet to schedule), I struggle to reccomend this place considering the waste of time I dealt with and the inability to accurately diagnose an issue. If you go to Les Schwab for any issue with your vehicle, I seriously reccomend that you question every expense on your invoice, as there were multiple unnecessary charges (ie replacement pressure valves that I did not need) that were removed from the total cost, thankfully with ease. I am grateful for the customer service here, but struggle to reccomend Les Schwab to anyone local who needs to fix an issue with their vehicle.

My experience started well with a promised price on a set of tires if I returned later. However, when I came back the same day, the salesperson said the deal was unavailable because the lower-priced tires were out of stock and would take a few days to arrive. It felt like a bait-and-switch. Instead, they offered a different deal for $2,100—$500 more than the original quote. I politely declined and left. If you're shopping for tires, consider national brands. Les Schwab tires are exclusive to their stores, so price matching isn’t an option since no one else carries their products. Tires often have significant markups. For example, I shopped for 35-inch BFGoodrich KO3 tires at America’s Tire. Their initial quote was $2,100, but after I mentioned Costco’s price of $1,638, they matched it—and they’re still profiting. Don’t hesitate to haggle or walk away if the deal doesn’t feel right. Price matching can save you a lot.

Been coming to this place since I was a kid helping my dad who was a commercial rice farmer. Today I came in with a flat and thought I would spend a bunch on new tires. Within 30mins tire was patched and they sent me a way with no change. Nothing but home town love for this spot!

As a student with little time, I was sweating to make it into the shop on time to make sure my brake issue wouldn’t be part of a bigger problem. Thankfully Brendan quickly got me in with an hour to spare before closing, checked everything, AND did a full replacement. He was fast, kind, funny, and alerted me to some other issues I already knew about to make sure I wasn’t in the dark. Thank you Brendan for an amazing experience! Les Schwab: whatever you pay him it’s not enough.

Used to bring all my vehicles here but the quality of service has gone down hill. Brought my tahoe in for an alignment after new parts installed. Got it aligned couple days go by hear a noise and my front upper and lower control arms were loose tightened them up and fixed that issue. Fast forward jan 24th replace front suspension on girlfriends vehicle totally seperate vehicle and go to have it aligned at 1pm. Service tech tells me your control arm bolts were loose you have to be careful because some other techs will not check or tighten bolts if they dont have to work on that side if it doesnt need adjustment🤯.. so i ask him ok but you tightened everything because dont u need to make adjustments for the alignment? He said not if i dont need to make adjustments but i tightened everything for you. Feb 1st im outside while my girlfriend leaves and hear horrible stretching sound noise. I check and what do u know the upper and lower control arm bolts are loose on her vehicle as well.. theres no settling period so theres no explanation for the bolts to be loose like this... Hopefully this reaches the higher ups and you can better educate your employees on how to work on vehicles with honor and integrity. I will no longer bring my business here and i will let all my family and friends know. Response to response. So let me get this right u want me to torque them to spec so what your people can loosen them to make alignment adjustments and just leave them loose without tighten them to spec again?. Thats the main issue here. They were not torqued to spec upon completion of the alignment. I dont need you to check every bolt just the ones u guys last touched before sending the vehicle back to the customer. Per your alignment printout he adjusted both sides so in doing so he was the last to touch the bolts.Maybe you should review your camera footage of that day where im talking to your employee where he openly admits his teammates dont torque to spec or check if bolts are tight i bet that will change your whole perspective on it being my fault. Regardless two wrongs dont make a right i just hope this opens the eyes to some of those techs the employee spoke about to make sure they tighten all the alignment bolts after completion thank you.
