I’ve brought my bmw to them before when nobody else would work on it and they knocked it out that same day. Today I had a bracket that I could not for the life of me remove from a pump and they not only removed the bracket from the old pump but also mounted it on my new one, all completely free of charge. If you need any sort of work done and don’t want the runaround that the big companies will give you, come here! They’ll take great care of you and give you the most competitive pricing in the Chico area! 10/10, will be coming here again, Andrew is the goat

Do not take your car here!!! They charged my mom almost $400 to flush her radiator fluid because her car was overheating, they took the money but didn't fix the problem and kept suggesting it was overheating because of a "bubble". When we told them the car was still overheating after the $400 repair they said there was nothing else for them to do. It ended up being a simple fix for a competent mechanic but this place is scamming.

I add to get a break and light inspection done on my car. These guys were great! They called their shuttle on a very rainy day and gave us a ride where we needed to go while we waited for the inspection to be completed. Within a few hours the inspection was done they called us let us know it was done and picked us back up and it was raining much harder by then. I would definitely use affordable automotive for any future services that I would need. These guys are awesome!

I just had my car serviced from my regular shop and went there for a smog, they said it failed and wanted $600 to get it smogged. I took it to my regular shop and they referred me to a reputable shop in town and it passed with flying colors. Watch out for these guys.

Way too expensive for oil changes for my college age daughter. They failed to issue a credit to her I fought for last time that they said they would apply this time for a way too expensive oil change. Then ‘red flagged’ stuff that was either not an issue at all or was a minor issue given the age of the car. If my college age daughter their didn’t have me to check in with to go over the car history and recognize what they are red flagging or yellow flagging, they would’ve wanted her to spend nearly $1500 additional dollars that she didn’t need to. After several tries here—not recommended for your not local college kids.

I was able to drop my vehicle off overnight which was a great convenience. They properly diagnosed the issue and gave sincere feedback on the next steps to solve the problem in which they suggested that i take my vehicle to the GMC dealer and the didn't charge me for the diagnostic. Good honest people, instead of digging in to earn a buck they did the opposite and sent me to the people who had the special equipment for the task and that's not to say that they couldn't perform it themselves. I will definitely recommend Affordable Auto for your vehicle maintenance. 👌

This shop does not use new parts on vehicles. Paid over $1200 for rear and front brakes and getting them fully replaced again at another service shop in Chico and was told by the shop that “this shop does not use new parts on cars.” It has only been a couple of months as well. Store seemed trustworthy but No.
