Pretty unhappy with Lexington Tire & Auto. We are in the process of moving out of state (9 hours). Took our car here because it was making a noise, and we wanted to make sure we would be safe for our upcoming move (complete with PACKED 20 ft Uhaul and 160 lbs of dog). Long story short, the car started death wobbling a few hours in, and we had to leave it at a closed shop on a Sunday hours from where we now live. We have now had to spend hundreds of dollars on a rental and hours of our time to pick up our stranded, but now repaired car all because these guys didn’t tighten the lug nuts. When we called, all they said was sorry. Unfortunately sorry won’t replace our money or our time. We wouldn’t go again given the headache this has caused.

I have been to Mark 3 times with 2 different cars. He is up front, honest, and very fair. Also very punctual and fast typically. One time he had to order a part from Cincinnati for my Cadillac and had me rolling out of the garage the SAME DAY!

Mark is an awesome guy and an great mechanic! On top of that he is very honest, which is very hard to find in anyone nowadays let alone a mechanic. Had battery issues for about 3 weeks, got referred to this place by auto zone and they told me what was wrong in 5 minutes and had it fixed less than 24 hours later. the repair was just an alternator replacement, but Luis gave me a guaranteed quote before i left my car and charged me exactly what he said he would. he was extremely friendly to my partner and me both, and was very willing to help out a person in a tough spot.

First off Mark did a fantastic job on my new engine. Still runs great. He is a very nice person. it was kind of hard to write this review due to that fact. But after the new engine, he installed a transmission, in my van. From day one it was acting up. I waited a couple of weeks to see if it would work itself out. It got worse. I returned to shop, one of his guys drove it, and agreed that it needed to be replaced. I called and texted for several months to see if they had found one. Each time, they had not. It is just a 2010 Chevrolet van, transmissions are not that hard to find, I would think. It got to the point I could not drive my van. Could not wait any longer. After I told him I have to have replaced by someone else, all of a sudden he found one. said to bring in. No way. Who would after the owner got mad. Had to have transmission replaced by someone else. Last text he did not answer. Then when he did he was angry, that I did not wait longer. He had not replied to my last contact. I hated to leave this review, but?

As a young woman finding an auto repair shop is hard. The owner was extremely friendly and offered me a great deal on new breaks and sway bar links. When I went to pick it up it was making an awful clunking noise sounded like my tire was about to fall off. I called and they told me to bring it back to see if they missed anything. I was then told that it was a new issue my strut. I was so confused because it was not making this noise on arrival. After they explained it would need an additional repair that would be upward of 4-5 hundred I asked if it would be safe to drive like this for the time being and he reassured me 3 times that this was a safe and not urgent issue. Something felt wrong as this noise was not just small but horrible and clunking. He even told me he wouldn’t let me drive off in an unsafe situation. This morning I took it to another shop to get the issue they told me was wrong looked at. I found out that horrid noise is due to my sway bar links only being “finger tight”. They let me leave the shop twice with loose link which is VERY DANGEROUS. I’m really upset because even if this was an honest mistake I gave them two times to check their work and they told me it was fine. Be careful and get second opinions.

I called to ask if they could squeeze me in to check out my brake lights as I was moving states the next day and the lights were not working with my uhaul. We was in Lexington for a Dr visit and the seatbelt latch was stuck so we took it here and mark took it apart and fixed it. Mark was the nicest guy! Highly recommend them
