Cisco and his team have been excellent in customer service, work performed and cost. I have taken two SUVs to them. One for struts/shock absorbers on front and rear and oil change and the other for front brake pads and brake fluid flush. Cisco listened to what I inquired to be done, gave me an estimate on cost and discussed what my budget would allow and if the cost could be adjusted based on the discussions. I feel the costs were fair based on our discussions, the work was completed as requested with no problems and the communication was excellent. They are now my go to repair shop. Thanks

I brought my car to the original location. Off of Fort view should have them look over what was wrong with my motor. I initially tried to isolate the problem myself but I couldn’t get the misfire to move to a different cylinder. After discovering oil on my spark plug electrode and losing coolant daily after I would do Uber; I took the car first to Rising Sun Automotive repair. I payed $150 dollars to have them tell me nothing was wrong! Clearly I knew there was and soon as I left there, car had issues still. I decided to go with a different shop because when a place lies to you; they can’t be trusted! So i decided to give Lopez Automotive Repairs a try and they found the problem; which I knew already and gave me the options of what would be the most feasible. We decided to do an engine swap. Turns out I had a bad head gasket and it wasn’t worth it to do a tear down and rebuild. They sent my car to their location off South First to have the work done. Bout a week later; I picked up my car and it was definitely cheaper than i anticipated! The car is running great so far; no issues. I had to call them about something missing because I’m pretty OCD when it comes to my car and they took care of it; no questions asked! I would and will use them in the future for other vehicles and recommend them!

I was concerned about having my rotors and brake pads replaced, but my brother suggested I call up this location after getting the parts on my own. Cisco was very polite on the phone and mentioned an affordable rate as well as stating they could have it done within an hour. Stopped by the next day, first thing in the morning, and Joaquín was very polite at the front desk. They had my car up and running in less than 45 minutes. It feels like brand new, even better than when I first got it. Will definitely recommend this shop. -Phill

So pleased with them. Everyone was so helpful and listened to what I needed done & didn’t try to talk me into getting other stuff done. They fixed the issue. I’m semi-disabled & they even gave me a ride him. I live right across the street from them so it wasn’t far, but still it was very nice of them. Joaquin the owner is simply the best as is his nephew Christian. I didn’t meet Cisco who everyone raves about. They will definitely be my go to Mechanic for any future needs. Thank you!!!

Almost ripped me off. Said my catalytic converter was bad, and needed a new one for a few grand. Took it to the dealer and they told me the mechanics either lied or didn't know what they were doing because the converter is not only brand new, but is also still in near perfect condition. Wouldn't trust this place. Strikes me as the type of people to try and mislead and take advantage of people who lack knowledge of automotive.

My truck was under warranty and I had a check engine light come on unexpectedly. After a preliminary check by myself, I had a cylinder misfire. I called the warranty company and they explained what the next steps were. I had a good friend refer me to Lopez Automotive. I made the call and from that moment on they were on top of it. Turns out I needed a new engine. They worked hard with the warranty company and had the issue resolved in short time. They were courteous, professional and paid attention to detail. I am completely satisfied with the work on my truck. Thanks to all at Lopez Automotive!!

Back in July, I was put in a terrible situation that I felt was caused by Valvoline on Bilbrook. I was left stranded on a Saturday morning after I left the oil change place and decided to contact Lopez Auto. I had previously had a great experience with them and was hoping they could help again. Mr. Lopez informed me that he could look at my car ASAP. Mr. Lopez got my car running again and assisted with other issues that I had. I even recently referred another friend to Lopez Auto and they too had a similar experience. I highly recommend you go to Lopez Auto for your repair needs.

It’s been over two months and I feel like I just need to share my experience with this auto shop: I brought my car in for a diagnostic related to suspension issues… and somehow left with power steering problems, dashboard warning lights, and a car that drives worse than it did before. They said they were “trying to recreate a sound” in the parking lot, and that’s apparently when the power steering went out. That was never an issue before I brought it in. Let me just say this clearly: How do you go in for suspension issues and leave with engine and power steering problems? That makes absolutely no sense, unless something was seriously mishandled. I’ve brought the car back to them twice to try and get it fixed, and they’ve done nothing but guess, deflect, and waste more of my time. They can’t fix what they broke and honestly, I don’t think they even know what they did. I wanted to support a family run business. I gave them multiple chances. But now I’m left with a car that needs even more repairs, and I’m back to square one, only worse. And to the Lopez family: I’d prefer if you didn’t respond with a polite, generic message about making things right. I gave you multiple opportunities to do that in person, and nothing was resolved. At this point, I just want other people to be aware of my experience so they can make an informed choice.

A few months back I got in a fender bender on the way home from work. I drove straight to Lopez Auto as they are now open until 6 PM. Everyone was super helpful and friendly, and I was treated with great care since I was still a little shaken up from being in the fender bender. They fixed up my car the next day, which Was leaking fluid from the front, And had damage to the bumper and license plate on the front. They fixed it not just mechanically, but physically put the bumper back into place and straightened up my broken license plate. All for a reasonable price, and quickly. I have been coming here for years, and will continue to do so. Briefly, I tried checking out Ben White automotive down the street, but their prices and service are not as good. Thank you, Lopez Auto for being so reliable!

Whether I’m bringing my car to be fixed by them, or I’m taking it to another mechanic, I can always call up Cisco and ask for his advice on a situation. I’m currently living a few states away but plan on coming back to Austin area in the near future. I plan on coming back to Lopez Auto as soon as I can. You can tell he’s not just a great mechanic, but a great person if he’s so happy to provide his advice even while fully knowing the work might have to be done by another shop. It’s always nerve racking having to find a new mechanic (even if it’s temporary) but I always feel like I’m in such great hands knowing I have this team

This is a trustworthy shop that cares about getting things done right. Pricing was up-front and reasonable - These guys won't be the cheapest in town, but the prices are definitely fair. Scheduling was quick and easy. We had one small hiccup during my service, but they were confident that they could get it sorted out quickly, which they did. They have a great team at Lopez, have great customer service, great techs, and strive to do a great job. 100% recommend!

Could you please clarify your current hourly labor rate? I was initially informed it was $130, but it was subsequently adjusted to $230. Additionally, I was advised that the diagnostic fee would be credited towards the repair cost. Then was told no, you didn't say that. I am seeking to understand this discrepancy. Furthermore, I requested a printed report of the diagnostic findings, but it appears none is available. Had a good experience prior to today. Just looking for clarity.
