One of the worst experiences: Do not bring your car there if it you expect good service at a decent price. I had my tire blow up on midpoint bridge and barely made it there, closest point to go with a flat tire. Turns out all 4 had to be replaced. I was charged $360 to pull 4 22" inch tires on my rims and get them balanced, most I ever paid - overcharged! Then I was charged $397.00 for the alignment, most I ever paid, overcharged! Then I am being told that all kinds of measurements are off and I need additional equipment installed to have toe and camber work. Anyway, left the shop, steering wheel was pulling to the right (after a $397 alignment!!!) Had to come back, first I heard I should be charged another hour of labor as the adjustment takes sooooo much time. Did not pay, owner agreed to work on it to get it done right. I am waiting another 3 hours, being told it is fixed now, i am leaving and having the same issue again. So I am calling two times leaving a voicemail, nobody responds, sending two emails, no response, this is the most ridiculous place I have seen. The owner does a lot of talking but things are not done right and charges are way too high, well the next time I have a flat on the bridge I will make sure to "push" my car to another shop!

I had a vehicle emergency when my key broke off in the ignition. The car was towed to Lou's and in a couple of hours the ignition was replaced and worked like new. They also took the time to explain in detail my repair options so I could make an informed decision. Thanks to all at Lou's!! You really came through for me.

My inside door handle stopped working & I thought it might be worth trying to fix myself. I got to a certain point and hit a roadblock on two separate occasions, was ready to give up and pay someone. Both times I came here with my issue. Instead of seeing an opportunity to charge me, they took the time to help me resolve each unknown. I was successfully able to replace the door handle for only the price of the part I bought online. Wow! Thanks so much! I love being able to do it myself & really appreciate your help!

In Feb of this year I brought in my Audi A4 because my engine was shaking while idle. This is what was done: MAIN WATER PUMP - Remove & Replace RADIATOR RESERVE TANK - Remove & replace $1,115 After I picked up my car, it was shaking 10 times worse than when I brought it. So, I drove back and it this was due to the mechanic leaving some cap open or not closing it properly. My car continued to shake while idle, but I trusted that this place properly checked everything. I brought it back last week because it keeps shaking and the engine light is now ON. I drive my car twice per week because my husband and I always use his truck, but I had a 3 hour trip to drive Christmas Eve coming up so I had it “fixed” at this place again. This is what was done TIMING COVER &/OR GASKET - Remove & Replace - Upper INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET - Remove & Replace CLEAN FUEL LINES, FUEL RAIL, FUEL INJECTORS, AND AIR INDUCTION $1,435 30 minutes into my trip on the highway , my car engine starts SMOKING like crazy and I thought it was going to catch on fire. At this point I have no idea what’s going on. I’ve never had coolant problems. My husband brings it back and they agreed to fix the problem and we would have to pay for the radiator hose that bursted (they cover the hands-on costs) . When they checked out the car, they changed their mind and said they have to charge the hands-on work because it’s too much work and there’s no way of proving they caused anything. I wish I would have brought it somewhere else to begin with. They have no integrity and their mechanics are careless

THE BEST CAR SERVICE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. Take 5 oil change broke the clasp on the bottom of my car. My car sounded horrible. I go in and Lou put my car up and fixed in within 10 minutes and said I was all set. Didn’t even charge me. Just shows how much this place really cares about there customers and how good of people they have working there. Will never go to another auto shop in my life. Been there for 2 services and 10/10 both times.

They broke my car more! My window would not roll up. They told me price and called me later to tell me there was more broken and the price was double. When I refused they put the window price back in but the window was rolled up more than it was before. Now it does not roll down either! They are a total scam! When it was dropped off, it was all the way down. One photo below is all the way down like it was. The other is the way it was returned and now it won't roll down. They broke my car more!!!!! Do NOT use them.

This review is long overdue. I had a catastrophic failure in my engine when I was leaving my school in Tampa being fairly new to the area I didn’t know much about mechanics out here. So I looked up reviews & Lou’s just jumped out. Jumping to the issue Orlando dealt with the warranty company for 4 months+ & they finally came through with everything that they needed to replace my engine. Even though they (warranty co.) were trying to do the bear minimum & consistently trying to find any reason to deny the claim he wasn’t trying to hear it. He got them to send everything he needed & had my car back to me within a couple days of receiving everything. They did amazing work & I was kept in the loop through the whole process. Orlando is a great guy to deal with & even though I live in a different part of Tampa Lou’s total car care is my go to shop from here on out.

I went to this place to get my headlight replace, was quoted 30 mins to get it done, with a $90 charge, only to find out after an hour that they will charge me almost $300 to do it because they didn't realize that they had to remove my bumper in order to change it And they where knowledgeable of my car year make and model. Such a disappointment.

I took my nightmare of a car to Lou's several times. For perspective it's a 2005 Chevy that has just turned 280,000 original miles. If you know cars, you know this means repairs & the long-term maintenance stuff. Boss man fixed everything I asked him AND let me bring my own preferred parts in for some of the repairs! The car started with 84 or more error codes, so we fixed things that might indirectly cause other codes first, which he knew becauseof experienc, not book learning. Still working through the list, but I don't expect miracles lol. He is very upfront about costs and if the cost EVER changes, even by a small amount, HE CALLS YOU! That's how I know several of these reviews aren't about him. Is he the cheapest around? No, but why would you want a cheap mechanic touching your car? In the auto world, you always get what you pay for.

I had to get my sunvisor fixed and I didn’t really even know where to start cause some places will fix and some will not. My husband picked Lous to call and they quoted us an extremely affordable rate. I came in on a Saturday morning and was helped pretty much immediately. 10 minutes later, and I had my sunvisor replaced! They were very quick and knowledgeable. Great guy!

Have been looking for a real mechanic (if you have dealt with some you may know what I mean) This is definitely the place to go. I had 2 issues and he solved them with one fix. They are super knowledgeable and you get that trustworthy feeling. I am so grateful we decided to give them a shot. If I ever need anything done to any vehicle I will definitely go back.
