I am so impressed by this shop every time we use their services. Zach is your go to guy at Low cost. He’s knowledgeable about vehicles, always willing to explain things, very respectful (I’ve had other experiences at other mechanics where men talk down to me relating to cars), and everyone else is always very nice too. Every…shop …needs a Zach. This visit we brought our ‘98 Toyota Camry in for shocks on the front end. They fixed it and delivered on time. The car drives so much smoother! We were advised we need a couple things done to the rear, but were advised it’s not urgent and can wait a couple months. In past experiences mechanics usually fear you into thinking everything they say needs done is urgent and you should do it today. That is NOT my experience with this shop. This shop is upfront, honest, and does not pressure you into services. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR AN HONEST, DEPENDABLE, AND AFFORDABLE SHOP THIS IS THE PLACE! I highly recommend them to everyone I know!

I am very disappointed in Low Cost Transmission…. My 2013 Nissan Altima started puttering and making noises under the hood so I took it to Low Cost Trans he told me yes I have transmission problems $4,000 out the door, the problem happened again, I had it towed back and he kept it for 7 days said he took it all apart and found it was the engine, I had it towed to Suncoast (John) told me it was the transmission … now it’s at Pinellas Auto, Jeremy let me know it’s the transmission and as far as he could tell nothing had been done from Low Cost Transmission!! I do not know how he looks at himself in the mirror. (By my photo you can see I’m a breast cancer survivor of 9 months, as all doctors tell you stay stress free that’s been very difficult in not having my car etc)

😭😭We had our Town and country in for a transmission service\repair originally in September. We asked him what he recommended? This vehicle is my lively hood, picking up my wife and kids, I work out of it. I didn't need a deal I needed honest fare, so he suggested a "transmission patch kit." We feel misled by what a transmission patch kit pertained. It was a $4k thousand dollar "PATCH KIT," by the way🤯😱. Needles to say barely got 3 thousand miles. Took it to another shop for 2nd opinion. Should've took pictures visibly you could see they reused pan gasket so much sealant finger painted on. Among others😡🤬😡 POINT BEING I FEEL MISLED!! Another $3 or $4 thousand dollars I have to come up with again. I'm basically buying my car again. AND IT'S BROKEN🤮🤢 😭😭😭 my whole family is suffering now. 🩼🚲🚕

LIARS! Dealt with them two days and was just being told lie after lie. I dropped my car off and was later told that my transmission was taken apart and was in bad shape, so I went back to the shop within an hour of the call from them. My car was parked where I left it and supposedly put back together because they needed the lift they said, I guess the labor and the fluid they put back in it was free. What mechanic breaks your car down and puts it back together before you can see it and make a decision? That was the first lie. My car stayed there over night and I asked to have my car parked inside the gate and not left on the street. If you can't you can't fine but I was lied to again and told that yes it was brought in even though I passed by the shop at 4am and saw my car once again right where I left it on the grass outside the gate. I don't trust liars, especially with my car and thousands of dollars of my money. You be your own judge but these people won't get the opportunity to even lay eyes on my car ever again, since that's all they did anyway. What a waste of two days, I needed my car for work. Find somewhere honest to get your car fixed, this place ain't it!

I brought my Ford bucket in for transmission repair 10/2023. Paid them in total of $6392.49. This was for transmission rebuild and wiring. Truck wasn't repaired correctly. The mechanic that did the work was fired or quit. Several conversations and promises to have truck repaired correctly later to no resolve. They still have my truck and collected $6392..49 from me. This has been a 18 month ordeal. This way beyond a average time a vehicle is in for repair. They also have ignored my phone calls. This truck was part of my fleet and has cost me several thousand dollars in rentals to replace it. I do not recommend this company.

Awesome team!! I was having issues with my transmission shifter cable and column on my RV with a Ford Triton V10 chassis. Most places just tell you NO once you mention RV Zach was totally professional and explained what may be required and how long it might take, including if something needed extra work. Chuck the mechanic was unbelievable!! When the parts didn't line up, he custom built in shop a fitting for both ends on the older cable. He's a true mechanic, I was impressed that he was able to make custom fittings for my beast! You don't find mechanics like this today, Bravo Chuck. I was traveling from out of state so it was great that they were able to fix my issue on the spot!! These guys are PROS!!! I've put a few miles on it since on a test run, and it's shifting perfectly and everything is nice and smooth. If you have a transmission problem, these are the Ones to go to. The place ain't pretty, but what matters is they know their stuff!! I was lucky to find this GEM of a place. Grateful.

Avoid This Place at All Costs — Dishonest, Overpriced, and Zero Accountability I brought my car in for a transmission issue — specifically, noticeable shuttering while driving. After their “diagnostic,” they confidently told me the solution was to replace the torque converter at a staggering price of $1,700. Trusting their so-called expertise, I agreed to the work. They claimed the issue was fixed, took my money, and sent me on my way. Fast forward to driving the car — not only is the problem still there, it’s worse. When I brought the car back, they conveniently shifted their story, saying it “could be more things wrong” and quoted me an additional $3,000 to keep guessing at repairs. Meanwhile, they refuse to refund the $1,700 I already spent on a “fix” that solved absolutely nothing. This is not how honest, reputable mechanics operate — this is how they bleed customers dry, one misdiagnosis at a time, with no accountability for their mistakes. If you value your time, your money, and your vehicle, stay far, far away from this shop.

Took my car to them to get my rim torched off, and they were the only ones who could reliably do it. I was nervous, but I figured "what have I got to lose?" So I took it. Zach was a huge help; upfront about everything, what I could expect, the estimated cost; everything! He definitely made me feel more at ease with the whole situation. Hi my name is Juan After taking my van to a competitor called all tech transmission on Seminole Blvd and got totally ripped off in the price and the warranty and the van was never fixed properly they put in all used broken parts teeth broken on the sprockets. I took it emidiately to my mechanic because I new it wasn't working properly so my mechanic saw it was not working properly so they sent the my van to Low Cost Transmission thank God I found them they are awesome Sac and his team did a awesome job 👍 it's been over a month and my van is running excellent 👌 and strong I'm very satisfied and I got a 3 year or 100,000 miles warranty at Avery fair price and they replaced all the broken parts that All Tech transmission didn't do I would recommend anyone who needs a transmission repair you need to come to Low Cost Transmission on park Blvd Sac and his team will take care of you and your automobile as for the competitor All Tech transmission his court day is coming thank you for taking you're time to read this review again thank you

Have a Sequoia with a tricky diagnosis. Ended up being the rear not the trans. Zack and his crew went to 2 different locations(all the way over in Casselberry)to get a good replacement differential. Honest and did not rush. Then he tuned up my Taurus trans in 5 mins, we are future customers now!

DO NOT GO HERE! If I could rate this place with "0" stars I would. This place trashed our 560SL Mercedes during COVID. They kept it for nearly a year, charged us $8K, couldn't provide us with a receipt and then passed it off to another mechanic that left it out in the sun for another year. We had to replace the convertible top and interior because of exposure to the sun and weather. Plus, it required another $7K of work by reputable mechanic to fix what they didn't fix and damaged.
