Baltimore’s hidden gem! So happy I found this place. My experience was top notch. Mike (and team) are friendly, quick and reliable. I was told I needed new brakes and a new battery at another mechanic. The quote they gave me was outrageous so I shopped around and stumbled upon M&M. Not only were M&M’s prices super competitive but after taking a look at my car Mike said my battery was perfectly fine, even tested it right in front of me to show me. It’s so nice to find a trustworthy mechanic. I’m never going anywhere else!

Mike showed up late to the appointment and didn’t give a warm first impression. My car is a hybrid and when explaining the problem we had, he quickly brushed it off as normal without asking clarifying questions or doing any critical thinking. When asking to do a diagnostic check just in case, he reluctantly agreed without explaining the process. It was our first time there so we weren’t sure if diagnostic checks were free. And when we asked, he said it was $85. Every time we asked a question about transmission fluid or clutch fluid, he had a skeptical attitude and sometimes laughed. We aren’t the experts here, he is, so it felt condescending to ask valid questions and to feel dismissed. At the end, he admitted that he’s not well versed in hybrid cars, which would have been nice to know at the beginning when he was so certain that our car didn’t have issues. We didn’t learn much and he could have been more patient. Overall it felt disorganized, non transparent, and we felt like we were a nuisance for being there even though we scheduled an appointment for someone to take us seriously.

A true gem! If anyone has any car issues you should come here without thinking twice! Honest, fair prices, excellent communicator. QUALITY work! He will even answers the phone on his day off. Has a good attitude/ doesn’t act like he’s doing you a favor by doing his job, which is sadly rare these days. It’s was the most refreshing and stress-free experience I have had with a business in a long time. I sincerely wish I could have had a mechanic like this near where I lived my entire life. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I had a huge emergency regarding my brakes and had been completely lost with what to do regarding the damage and cost of whatever was wrong. I recently had a great experience with Mike and M&M Auto. I wanted to find a local mechanic and get away from using the Subaru dealership for repairs - it was costing a ton and I was having repeat issues and everything lacked a personal touch. I decided to give M&M a chance and I'm glad I did. The initial AC repair and strut replacement (I think that is what it was) suggested by the dealership went great. Next, I had a serpentine belt and tensioner go. Mike got it repaired and two days later, it happened again (part failure)! I had it towed in and Mike took care of it, no questions asked (and no additional cost, either). His communication using the app was fantastic, he always got back to me really quickly. Mike is direct and to the point, which I appreciate, it makes me feel like he isn't blowing smoke or trying to impress me with anything other than his ability to fix my car. My husband and I have found our mechanic.

Mike and M & M helped us handle our repair quickly in what felt like an "emergency" situation for our vehicle. We called a few minutes after his closing hours and he still picked up the phone and told us to come by, even though they were technically closed. He took our information in his handy phone application, we left the car with him at 6pm, and within 24hrs the car was repaired and ready for pickup (replaced spark plugs and coils)! The process was super smooth from diagnostic estimate, to repair quote, to payment thanks in part to most of this being handled via text and a digital auto repair shop website. We were able to choose the repairs we wanted to go forward with from the estimate by checking some boxes, chatted with Mike, and processed payment all through this interface and it made our experience that much smoother. In a time of unexpected car troubles and busy schedules, I appreciated how smooth this repair process felt.

The first time I spoke with Mike was Monday when I found his shop as one of the nearest by my job. Two days later, I decided to give him a try and entrusted him with my aging car. Within an hour of dropping off my car, I received a full diagnosis on what needs to be done with my car. I sent the diagnosis to my best friend who's a service manager for Toyota to see if I'm being charged fairly and I was advised that I was. I signed the work order and after a couple of hours, I got a notice that my car was done and ready for pick up. Mike did what was best for the car and not necessarily what I wanted done which to me speaks volume about his expertise and in return he saved me some much needed cash. I love the smooth transaction and same-day turn around.

This is my new go to mechanic. Found them through repair pal with CarMax car care program. My car had brake problems and they fixed the back brakes, took it for a test ride, still didn’t like how it felt, and readdressed the brakes. This place is thorough! He made sure I got the most out of my car care deductible and fixed my failing AC compressor while it was in. My car drives better than when I bought it a year ago! Can't recommend Michael enough. He is my go to whenever I have issues with my car. I've gone back to him multiple times and have always had a positive experience. He offers a fair and reasonable price with more serious services and regularly follows up via text months afterwards to make sure my car is still running well. With minor repairs (ie, brake light replacements) he always helped me get it fixed within 3 minutes and does it free of charge.

Mike was referred to me by a trusted friend and has done a lot of work for me over the last couple of years. The most notable was earlier this year: After a second round of my car losing power, unwillingness to accelerate and stalling out, I had the car towed to him to take a look. My 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport was 11 years old and had 75K miles, but he said she was a goner and there wasn't anything else he could do. Before I could figure out where to go next, he offered to do a little more research for me and ultimately made the suggestion for me to take it to the dealership- as there could be a defect with the engine. He even made the initial calls for me. He didn't charge me for the diagnostic and extra research. With Mike's expertise and help, I was able to get a brand new engine - paid for 100% by Hyundai. There is absolutely no way I would have known this was even an option without his kindness and expertise. I will certainly be driving this car for another 10 years and will, without a doubt, have Mike do all my maintenance going forward. Additionally, the digital system he has set up makes everything so easy. From service reminders, to getting and reviewing quotes, approving the quotes, getting a text when service is complete and contactless payment options - working with Mike is virtually a no stress/anxiety experience. Highly recommend!
