Chad and the team at Hull Street Alignment were phenomenal. They performed the work needed and quoted the first time on my Porsche Cayenne, and for an extremely fair price. I would highly recommend this team and this business. I will bring all of my work here going forward. Very honest and very thorough which is needed in the car repair business.

A lot has changed since I wrote my original review for this company. Made an appointment for an oil change for one vehicle and a state inspection on another. Person making the appointment wanted to argue about the oil that it required, trying to convince me that the vehicle had synthetic oil and when I stated it has never had synthetic she informed me that that's what it should have in it, that it will never run correctly until I put the correct oil in it. Told her to just put in what I asked for and I would take my chances as the vehicle has run great for 10 years with the "wrong " oil in it. Fast forward to the next day and she calls to tell me that the vehicle there for inspection needs a serpentine belt to pass. Said I have never heard of that and she assured me that it was correct. My fault for not checking. She quoted me a price and I said that seemed high but I needed the inspection and didn't have time to get the rejection sticker and go anywhere else. So she called when it's finished and I go to pick it up. When I get there she tells me a price that it higher than what I was originally quoted and she said the original quote didn't include everything. When I asked to see the paperwork that shows that the belt needed changed for inspection she said that it wasn't required for inspection but she determined that the old one was bad enough and was such a risk that she decided it needed done. When I then ask when Chad the manager was going to be back, she informed me that he no longer worked there and I would have to deal with her. I will no longer go to this garage because I have to trust the person working on my vehicle I trusted Chad as he had never steered me wrong but I don't trust her. I understand everyone is being hit hard with Covid restrictions but stealing from, and lying to people is a quick way to lose loyal customers

These guys are fantastic and honest! I had an emergency and pulled in for an rotate and balance of my tires since I couldn’t drive over 55 without it shaking! The quickly got my car into a bay, jacked up and noticed my tire had a bubble and could blow anytime! They sent me to the nearest tire place In and Out Auto Service! They could have been dishonest and did the job then tell me, or charge me for getting it into the bay but they didn’t! Great guys, great experience and would recommend them to everyone!

Please don’t take your car here. Worst service i've seen. I tried to get an alignment was denied service didn't get anything done and they still had the nerve to try to charge me $60. I was so furious i talked to the owner Bob and he was even worse. I tried to ask why i was being charged for nothing done. He simply wouldn't talk to me and just proceeded to tell me to pay. At the end of the day i didn't pay and saved myself from there shop. If i could give a zero star I definitely would. Im a fair person and this is being more then fair.

This is the only place I take my vehicles. They've even worked on my RV if they were able. The team is always super friendly. Communication is top notch regarding what's going on with my vehicle. If multiple options are available, they explain them all to me. The dog is super fun to play with as well while you wait...

Overall, I would not recommend M40 Auto & Alignment. The counter lady was friendly and helpful, but the senior mechanic was rude and unprofessional, and the mechanics did not do a thorough job of inspecting my car. I paid $56 for them to tell me that everything checked out on the new car i was going to purchase, but after purchasing the car, I came home and checked the battery myself, it was bad and reading 150 CCA. I called the shop to ask if they had even checked the battery, and they said they would have the tech call me back, but he never did. I had to spend $160 on a new battery, which I could have got a discount for from the car dealer if the shop had done a thorough inspection. In addition to the poor workmanship, the owner of the dog was very rude to the counter lady and told her not to give the dog toys because people will play fetch with her and their walls will get dirty, and he kept coming into the lobby with political news on his phone and reading it out loud to or play weird music obnoxiously loud get a reaction. This was unprofessional and unpleasant, and it made me feel uncomfortable. To make matters worse, their paperwork doesn't even show what was checked exactly. This is a major red flag, as it means that there is no way to verify that the mechanics actually did anything to inspect my car. I would not recommend M40 Auto & Alignment to anyone. There are many other reputable mechanics in the area who will do a better job and treat you with more respect. I would also advise against paying for any services at M40 Auto & Alignment until you have a clear understanding of what will be checked.

Called and they told me to bring it right in, but I couldn't, so dropped it overnight. Had it ready by 10 am that morning. Explained exactly what needed done on a cool print out. Didn't try to tell me a ton of other stuff was wrong. Great work for a great price!

Beware of unscrupulous practices! I took my car here a few months ago, and the mechanic failed to show up until over 2 hours later. I know this because he came out to tell me that it was his fault that he was late. I didn't think anything of this, but 2 more hours latery car was finally finished. When I got my car all my stored data was erased, so no previous or stored destinations. I called and the receptionist stated that's how they reset the service light when they do oil changes, but when I told her it's just a button in the glove box she insisted that is their practice of resetting it. The owner was meh about it as well, but I just lost over 10 years worth of stored destinations with only so much as a well there's nothing we can do now attitude. Fast forward to today, and now I find out that they didn't even do the oil change because there was absolutely no oil on the dip stick, and there is NO oil leak. So it can't even be said that it all leaked out. I will never go here again since this could have caused serious damage to my vehicle because some mechanic was humiliated by having to tell me he was late for work and that's why my vehicle didn't get serviced and inspected. I just wonder if my light that was supposedly burnt out and replaced was really burnt out. This unscrupulous behavior should be a warning for those who need their car fixed properly! Your organization should be very ashamed for this behavior!

I took my car in to get rotors and brake pads replaced they replaced my rotors. They sold me bad parts and when I heard grinding noises I took them back in to check em out. They told me to my face they were in good shape. The next day (today) I took em to my normal mechanic and he shows me really shitty brake brake pad quality. They don’t accept outside parts so be concerned when getting things fixed by this company.

I was on the way to an office meeting and caught a flat on the highway but right place right time! I was able to exit Chippenham on the Hull St exit and make it to this shop on a flat. They greeted me and got right on it. They didn’t have my BMW tire size but they gave me my options. They were able to order a new tire and get it put on in less than 3 1/2 hours for a great price. I got a ride to my meeting and by the time I got back it was almost done. Great customer service very professional and very friendly.

Don't let the posters in their front room fool you. These folks are liars and cheats. I took one of my cars for a front end alignment and they tried to tell me that parts I had just replaced MYSELF were bad. Took another car for an alignment and they left the tie rod jamb nuts loose so the alignment self adjusted and destroyed a pair of brand new tires. When I took it back the owner tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about..... I was a mechanic for 18 years before medical issues forced me into early retirement. This is context to inform you that I very much knew what I was talking about. Wasn't interested in refunding me for either botched alignment and it was like pulling teeth to get a check for the tires. When I went to pick up the check he told me they no longer wanted my business. Of course I was fine with this because I no longer wanted to be screwed without lube. But the guy was so interested in protecting his dishonesty he declined to discuss or see photo proof of their screw up because they had another victim (customer) sitting there in the waiting room when I stopped by for the check.

My father in law recommended me this place because my regular dealership quoted me for a ridiculous price for a minor fix. Had them do a state inspection and fix a little bit on the front bumper due to a minor deer hit. Got me all fixed up in about an hour. You do have to schedule for an appointment, and they have a very friendly dog. You might have to keep throwing the ball lol.
