I first came across this maaco under insurance/accident circumstances which can be a stressful time. I was very delighted to know I was in good hands with Carlos and his team. The facility is clean and he made sure to explain everything and answer questions so I had no qualms. They work with most insurance companies so that was a plus. When I got my car back it was washed and vaccum’d which I was NOT expecting but also appreciated SO much considering I left them with my car a mess on the inside, like tbh a lil embarrassing 😭 but they’re respectful and do good honest work. Looking forward to working with them again. (ps) repaired photo is my car 2 days after pickup. They really do wash ur car when they’re done working on it :3

It took them two weeks and over 5 grand to do the repairs to my vehicle. I had a large dent in my bumper, and my front fender and door had to be replaced. This is what they handed me today. They cracked my windshield, rehung my bumper with little more than hope (and a new huge crack in it), and slapt on a fender well that's all bent up and out of shape - and also somehow managed to bend up my front bumper while replacing the fender well. The quality of work done at the shop is subpar to the point of being insulting. Avoid this shop at all costs, unless you're trying to double down on your damages. I am horrified that a shop carrying the Maaco name would do such shoddy work. I've had better work done at used tire shops - for less than half the cost. ****Update May 10th, 2025***** So far are they basically just given me the runaround. It's been over a month and they have yet to fix any of the things that they messed up on my car. Then to top it all off the owner of the shop accused me of "slander" for this review. Which is interesting because literally am just telling the truth. Then, he accused me of "pocketing some of the money". Painting my hood was in the original estimate, they chose not to paint the hood to save me some money and then accused me of "pocketing" that same money. Absolutely a joke. Literally the worst decision I could have possibly made for a body shop.

Carlos, Michelle, and the entire staff of the Clarence Street location were absolutely amazing! I took in my 1991 Toyota forerunner to get an updated paint job because she was looking old and she came out sparkly and shiny and amazing looking. She looks brand new. There was attention to detail. The customer service was off the chain and absolutely astounding. The best I’ve ever had in dealing with any company. I will not take any of my other cars to get repainted except for this exact location. Everybody was awesome! Thank you guys for making my old girl look brand new and beautiful. They have amazing customer service and do an amazing job! 🥰

These guys do bad work and lie when you ask them to fix it. Paid them for body work and paint. They didn't remove the windshield and sunroof for the paint job so now I have to have it redone or risk corrosion in those crevices. They took my wheels off and didn't put them back on right so one of my wheels came off while driving. They lied and said they never took the wheels off so it wasn't their fault but you can see white paint in the inner wheel components. Could have killed me. And look at the other wheel didn't even bother to put all the lugnuts back on. These guys are gonna kill someone. Do not go to this shop.

I brought my 2012 Honda Civic in to have it worked on. The work was nothing short of phenomenal! The paint job was absolutely beautiful! My 2012 Honda Civic had the ugliest color, but by the time Maaco was finished with it, my car looked amazing! My Next door neighbors actually thought that I had gotten a new car! Carlos, helped me from the time I made the first phone call to Macao, on Clarence St., through picking the exact color for my car, and finally, making sure I had the best experience and everything I needed from them. I am really impressed by the guys at Maaco, and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for bodywork, or paint jobs. I just couldn't be happier, and I know that I have made a business relationship for life! Thank you so much, guys!!

DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP UNLESS YOURE WILLING TO RISK YOUR LIFE. We paid $4700 for body repairs and paint. The car was driven twice after getting it back when the entire front drivers side tire detached from the car while my 19yo son was driving on the highway. We are thanking God he wasn't injured, because he felt the wheel trying to come off and slowed down right before the wheel shot off so he was able to get off the road without spinning out and somehow there is minimal damage to the car but Matthew Moreno and Carlos say they had nothing to do with that and will not cover the repair. Update: we gave Matthew Moreno every opportunity to do the right thing and he repeatedly tried to convince us that they never took the wheels off at any time in the front bumper and hood and fender liner replacements and total body paint job. We called multiple other maaco shops and were told they always remove the wheels for that type of work. Moreno continued his story. So we filed an insurance claim and the repair shop that insurance sent us to sent us the additional photos you see here and this statement: "Please find attached white refinish in the inner wheel house, showing proof the wheels were removed, also right rear wheel also has a missing lug nut." Not only is it clear they removed the wheels, further proof they failed to replace additional tires in a safe manner, not just the tire that shot off the car while driving on the hwy and risked my sons life. Matthew Moreno should be put in jail in our opinion. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP UNLESS YOURE WILLING TO RISK YOUR LIFE.

Had my truck painted. Said take a week week and half later received back. Has charged for clips and grommets. They didn't install mud guards back securely. Broke the brackets on my fender flares that hold them to the body. Paint over spray on exterior door handles, mirror, exhaust pipe, insertion door panel. My speakers and rear seats look like got rained on. The back of my front seats were covered with the dust from sanding the vehicle. Had 2 items taken after they went through my center console and made a mess.of it. Masking tape left multiple locations even underneath behind my tires.

I just had my 1955 Chevy Bellaire painted by this establishments new owner and I am extremely pleased with the work and cooperation I received . I had worked with the previous owner and had an awful experience. Mathew and his manager Carlos did a great job fixing my car. It’s ready for a show . Service at this shop is, (not was), excellent. I had priced my repair across a half dozen places . . . I must admit that I had a bit of sceptisim about national brand pricing, after contacting another well known shop . . . Carlos Castillo, the shop owner beat all other estimates without me making any references of other estimates, and after watching him operate within that short time of having the vehicle assessed, got the feeling that this would be the place, but I needed to get my financing together. Mr Castillo actually had me loan qualified right there while having the vehicle assessed; however, I wanted to pay straight out, but needed time. Three months later, I showed up, Mr Castillo pulled up the estimate originally generated, and he flawlessly executed his end of the contract, returning my vehicle completely repaired on day four (4) of what was expected to be a five (5) + day repair. My friend who knew the vehicle before and after agreed, the work done at this shop was excellent. Initially spoke with Mr Moreno(Owner) to receive a quote. They way he broke down the estimate, along with providing multiple options for completion, gave me confidence in moving forward with them for repairs. Transparency in pricing was the biggest factor for me. There weren't random, uncategorized prices or fees. Greatly his communication and working with me to get the project completed! They'll absolutely be my first choice with future repairs.

Very good paint job done. Found 4 flaws, 2 like fish eyes or bubbles, the drivers side door trim needed painted very noticeable after new paint, 1 little spot on drives side door where door frame dips off top like maybe a drip that got wiped. I would give 5 stars but I feel we paid for a premium paint job so to me that means the best we can and have. Note : the manager did make the window trim right right there on spot.

I picked up my car today and words cannot describe how phenomenal of a job Carlos and his team did for my black Infiniti. We have used this Maaco shop 4 times now (3 out of pocket; 1 insurance claim) in the last 4 years. We have always been pleased with the quality and price of the work. One car was over 24 years old and parts were hard to get but they made it happen and it looked great. They even called to ask if I wanted a bumper without the “Mustang” on the rear bumper or if I wanted them to keep looking for one that had it. I asked for them to keep looking and they found it. They go above and beyond. Their pricing has always beat other shop prices. They also did engine work on one of the repairs and we had no complaints. Carlos has always been great to work with.
