The guys worked with me on price on all the dings n dents that had happened over a few years. After further inspection they came back with a better bigger scope of project to fully fix the whole car to its original shine which they absolutely did for a very reasonable additional price Everything looks sharp and we are very happy with the outcome. I didn't post a review after these guys painted my 2003 Tahoe but I was so happy with the outcome and thought I'd post now that I've finished a few more upgrades. This shop is awesome! Did an amazing job and after a couple years could not be happier. Here is a before and after the paint job plus new tires and a new suspension with 2" lift from true line wheel and alignment. Classic and looks amazing!

The 2nd time is a charm and I'm such a happy, HAPPY, customer!!! The team at Maaco-San Diego/Kearny are the most professional and host crew I’ve worked with. Initially I was told I needed to have the sun damage spot rebuffed, so I went and purchased all this stuff from Walmart. Then common-sense set in and I said…seek an expert you can trust. So back to Maaco I went and went NO further because I was still enjoying the work done on my 1999 Jeep I’ve named “Joy” that I invested in her mommy-makeover over 7-years ago. So relieved to walk in and see Al still there!!! Al for starters is the best...no fluff but still so kind and clear as to what you can expect. Letting me know what my options were with full transparency as to the cost back when I had my Joy painted in 2018 to what the costs would be for me today. That really made a difference as we know that prices today are more than those pre-Covid times, but still I choose to opt out of the hustle & haggling when I feel like I'm being taken advantage of. NEVER the case with Team Maaco/Kearny in San Diego...just so proud to have my second little gem restored to something special to me. The paint was in really bad shape in various areas on my little commuter Mazda, and I was embarrassed by it…the look of the car didn’t fit the drive and appreciation I had for it!!! Al and Chris are super cool, patient, and extremely knowledgeable...they'll spend the time needed to ensure you're happily satisfied before and after!!! I went into this investment with clear expectations on the cost, time frame, and product quality return. EXCELLENT work…can’t be any happier or any prouder to say that both of my cars have been beautified by Team Maaco/Kearny in SD!!! Both my oldie but goodies to me turn heads and I tell them exactly where to go if you want quality before and after. Macco is the one stop shop! Just follow Al’s expert post corporate care instructions, and you too can reap the reward of driving with pride…Classy Clean your way!!!

The MACCO Team who painted my car did a fantastic job!! In all honesty, we had a misunderstanding on the color. The original color of my 2013 Mazda 3 was a metallic red which faded and the original clear coat peeled. When discussing the color, I requested Black. Unfortunately when the final work order was written up there was no mention of black or for that matter any color. I did not catch it when I signed. When I picked up the car it was painted Red. Again, the work this MACCO team performed was phenomenal, in retrospect I am now happy it was painted red considering the door jams and under the hood is red. Big thanks to Chris and Al for working with me on a mutually acceptable solution.

I had a great experience at Maaco San Diego/Kearny. Not only was the paint job exceptional, the body work was on point. I had a few rust spots in some hard to get places that they fixed for me and afterwards you couldn't tell they even existed. When I got my car back, it actually looked better than what I was expecting. Great job all around and staff was very pleasant.

Wonderful job!! My Land Rover 2011 was repainted a bright new olive color!( original color black). The team at Maaco was helpful with every step of the process… Samples were made to ensure final choice of color and I was also helped in replacing some old exterior parts… The all process took 2 1/2 weeks. I took my car to Maaco In January and the guys did a great work done on repainting my rear bumper. It is holding up pretty good and have no issues about it. I will update this review in July as a semester check up update. Two things I would highly improve is customer service and incorporating a system that sends update of the progress of the job.

So apparently my review failed to post but I needed to make it a priority to get this up… This past January, I was in desperate need of body work and repairs on my 2004 Honda Accord that was my dearly departed mother’s vehicle. My mother passed away from lung cancer and one of the last things she made me promise was to take good care of the Honda. The vehicle’s Blue Book value is less than $3k but the sentimental value is priceless. My mom and I shared countless memories, both great and bad, during the good times before she was diagnosed with cancer and all throughout her 7 years of treatment. Our last moments together were in that car, when I had to race her to the Emergency Room the for what was to be the last time. Whenever I sit in the drivers seat I feel her embrace and remember holding hands as we drove about. The sentimental stuff aside, I took the vehicle to the Maaco off Kearny Villa road after speaking with Al Ramirez, the store manager. Al is a no nonsense guy that tells you how it is and won’t try to upsell or pitch you on what you don’t need. He’s a standup person and he takes pride in his work as does his team. After some discussion and explaining that times were a bit tough on my pocketbook, Al gave me a very generous price on their best paint option. The vehicle had probably 30+ dings, numerous dents, a busted trunk lid, messed up bumpers, and all the trim was peeling away from years of heavy use and neglect. To say it was in bad shape externally is a true understatement! That said, the vehicle never missed a tune up, service, or oil change from DCH Honda where we purchased it and only has 120k miles which is just broken in for a Honda; in all honesty, that car will probably outlive me! Al let me know that when he gets done with it, the vehicle won’t be perfect but it’ll look 100% better than it did. Aside from a bit of miscommunication on the front bumper which he thought he could rig back on but ended up being too warped from so much damage, all went perfect. Even after having to order a new bumper post-paint and bodywork, Al gave me a VERY fair price to have the bumper done again after purchasing a new one from Honda. I was blown away with the final results! The vehicle isn’t perfect but it’s damn near close to perfect and I don’t feel embarrassed driving it as my daily-driver like I did prior to his team working their magic. I even threw some new wheels on it to replace the original hubcaps that looked horrible. I’ve gotten tons of compliments and it’s all thanks to Al and his team. I’d like to send a huge shoutout to Al and the Maaco team, albeit extremely late, and recommend Maaco off Kearney Villa Rd. to anyone wanting a fair price, for paint and bodywork, from an honest person. Thank you so much Al and team! Ive recommended you to about a dozen folks and will make sure this review is posted properly this time!

My 2012 Toyota Sequoia had blistering paint from sun damage (common Toyota issue). It has low miles and a decade more of life in it. Called around to a bunch of shops and was $7.5 - $9K, which was WAY more than I was willing to spend. Maaco was less than half the price and did a great job. My 2020 Subaru Forester Touring had paint peeling from the hood and needed to be stripped down and repainted. My back tailgate was peeling as well. I took my Subaru to many different auto body shops and most shops were quoting me around $2,000 to strip/sand down and repaint the hood and back tailgate. I decided to go to Maaco and they quoted my $1,000. At first, I thought it was too good to be true, but after doing some research, I learned that Maaco offers a 3-5 year warranty for paint jobs. None of the the other paint and body shops were willing to do a warranty that matched Maaco's or match their price. Of course, all the other paint and body shops warned me that Maaco uses inferior products and it's not possible to do work that cheap. After Maaco re-painted my Subaru hood and back tailgate, it looked like a brand new vehicle, I am so happy I chose them. When I took my Subaru into Maaco, I met Chris and Al, and both were amazing to work with. I worked primarily with Chris and he was honest from the start and didn't try to overcharge me. He explained the re-painting process and made me feel very comfortable. In addition to being the cheapest paint option, Maaco also had the nicest and most honest employees. If you're thinking about repainting or getting body work done to your vehicle, at the very least, get a quote from Chris and Al and Kearney Mesa Maaco. It will be the best decision, you ever make.

this Maaco location is hands down THE BEST. they have fixed both my car and another that i JACKED UP and it made it look like NEW but for way less than everyone else. i have gone to them multiple times and they are pleasant to deal with and HONEST. i never thought i would have a preferred car shop BUT these guys are it!! Al and his team are the best!
