The guys are really nice. I took my car in because the check engine light was on and they “fixed” what they thought could be the problem. As soon as i left the shop the light came right back on. I took it to another mechanic a day later and they told me the services i paid for had not been done with new parts and the car should not have been returned without the problem being fixed. I would rather them say they didnt know how to fix it. Now im paying for someone to check over their work and fix the initial problem

I've had my car for about 4 years and have been dealing with all the maintenance on my own I had gotten beaten out so much money before just being a women going around doing everything by myself they are the most honest and the most reliable people I have ever met. I was in the shop every two months before them they did two great jobs for me and it's been almost a year with no repetitive check engine light or any of the horrible problems I was having before they are my new friends!

When I moved to San Diego last year, I had a few issues while registering my car due to a check engine light, so the gentleman at Express Auto Registration recommended I go to A&R Auto Repair. I’ve lived in multiple states, and all I can say after about 6 or so visits this past year— Mesfun and Sam at A&R Auto Repair are the most honest, respectful, calm, reliable and hardworking auto mechanics I’ve ever come across who provide quality service and don’t rip you off! They simply listened to my needs, and not once tried talking me up into spending more money than necessary. I don’t have car knowledge so I very much appreciated being shown the wear&tear on my car parts versus what it’s supposed to look like, and simplifying car terminology so I was able to understand how one part affected the other. These guys are incredible and go above and beyond to help me. I drive across town to have them change my oil because they are so accommodating and I leave with more than just an oil change. They’re never pushy or upselling but they notice when I need things on my old car and offer to help free of charge. Today they noticed my front plate was in my windshield and asked if I’d like them to attach it. When it gave them troubles, they drilled better holes to fasten it. They’ve helped me find replacements for my broken headlights and also discard old gasoline from my gas can. I crave service like this but find it’s all but gone in every industry. I’m so glad I stumbled upon these good mechanics! They’re such a blessing!

1st time using them today. My old mechanix by them is retiring and met Mesfun one of the owners who let me know why his shop was closed. Got my oil changed for only 10 more than he charged good price. They also informed me my timing belt cover gasket is leaking and its common on my 4th gen 4 cylinder camry. Now i know why I have to add oil so much and also i noticed coolant lately i have to add which before i didnt. Once i fix this I shouldnt have to anymore! My previous mechanic never told me this. Highly recommend! Ask for Sam or Mesfun!

I bought a 2005 Buick has transmission leak and many other problems. Got them done in three days and car is running great. Friendly people not pushy and no extra unnecessary work was ever recommended. They offered a fair price and a good warranty to replace the starter of my car. They also left the decision to me after they informed me about the service to do. They lent me a car to drive back home when I told I lived far away. I forgot to refill the gas. But they showed understanding when I realized I forgot to fill the gas. This was the first time that I came to this store, but they impressed me for being helpful, understanding and giving handy support. They are honest and dependable. The best mechanics you can trust. And they do excellent job , with affordable pricing & they did explain to me everyth . Plus show the old parts even offered me to take it i want. I am in peace with them. I also bought my car from them in 2020. Which I was so blessed by it. And my car was ruined by the flood in January.2024. Water entered the engine & how they saved it for me , as a single mom I can’t afford a new car Mesfun & Sam advices us to replace the engine & they did …. The car is working as new & they saved me. all the workers with them are also amazing. They are a hero indeed I highly recommend them , ask for Mesfun & Sam you will not be disappointed

There’s a saying… you can never trust a mechanic. Well, that phrase exists because of this place. I wish I could say that this is on me or I was being cheap or something but honestly, there is zero fault on my end. It’s also common knowledge that dealerships are bigger scammers than independent mechanics which is why I refused to pay $599 for brake pads and installation. That is just highway robbery. I figured I’d do myself the favor and buy my $100 brake pads and keep it local and then pay $100 to have them installed. Simple right? Naturally, as I drive off from the mechanic shop, my brakes are already squeaking. Mind you, this isn’t uncommon with new brake pads but it’s also not normal. Sometimes they just have to “brake” in. Pun intended. But after a week I called the shop and told them the news. They said they’d take a look. I roll up and tell them again only to be told that there’s nothing they can do about it. What it seems like happened is that they snatched my new brake pads and didn’t even replace them. So I now need to find another shop, see what the problem is, dish out more money, and pretty much back to square one. I still wouldn’t recommend anyone going to the dealership for all this but I would definitely steer clear of this scam factory! Staff. Trash. Quality. Trash. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Now I see why so many neighbors say good things about this shop. I stopped by with a minor issue and despite the place being obviously very busy Sam took a few minutes out of his day to help me out with a quick fix. I can tell by the way he handled it he's a solid mechanic and a nice guy. Next time I need something more serious done on my car, I'll be heading there. So I am long term client/customer of this shop. The owner Mes, is a genuine trustworthy mechanic. Every time I try to get a service somewhere else I end up going right back to Mes because he is affordable, trustworthy,reasonable with the turnaround time, and also very importantly he is personable. I can’t tell you how many times I have left the establishment simply based off of the energy they gave me when interacting. I recently had my car oil cooler fixed by him. The turnaround time was simply three hours. I have been avoiding getting this done for two weeks. I highly recommend this shop.

October 2025 Good experience! I got a free 5 minutes inspection for my radiator hoses and coolant leak from (Musfin) very nice guy! Every thing was alright. If I will need a repair in the future I may go to A&R.
