The owner was extremely helpful. I had scheduled to bring 1 car by to discover what might be the problem & instead also brought 2nd car because it had something going on. As someone who knows nothing about cars, I’ve had mechanics take advantage of me and over charge me for unnecessary work I didn’t end up needing. Mario was super helpful and friendly and he could have charged me for a brand new serpentine belt but instead he just said it was loose and tightened it for us for free. From the short interaction we had with him, I highly recommend. Good honest service :)

I like Mario so much I sometimes wish my car broke down more often. My husband is pretty mechanical and says Mario always does solid work for a good price. They neither cut corners nor turn a small problem onto something bigger, in other words: hardworking and honest. The guys he has help him are professional and Mario is a smart, kind man with a smart, polite team.

Went to Mario's on 9/1/23 to have it checked out. I was expecting to have the brakes replaced including rotors and possibly new struts. He cold have easily sold me both items and I wouldn't have question it, but instead he was very honest about it and all it needed was to have the caliper pins removed and cleaned and he replaced the wore out tie rods. Paid less than half of what I was expecting and vehicle runs like a champ. I highly recommend him.

I highly recommend this shop! My check engine light came on today and I was so stressed that on top of it being Saturday, it’s a holiday weekend! I took a chance and called and luckily they told me to come on over. My car was fixed and I was out of there in an hour! Very friendly and helpful and trustworthy! Wow what a first impression. Called up and talked with Rudy about my daughter’s car check engine light, who happens to be away at school in Chico. I sent her over there per his request. He gave us code and reset light so we could positively identify the issue again. I called my daughter to see how it went and she said it was a nice experience. Not even 15 minutes later Rudy calls me out the blue to let know that my daughter came by and what he did. What a reassurance for a dad in a different city knowing this business cared enough to follow up. If that light comes back on guess where I’m sending my daughter’s car back to Rudy at Mario’s Automotive. Thank you!!!

I only take my cars to Mario. He always fixes it right the first time. I have been taking my cars to him for well over 10 years. He's always been honest about my repairs and I never feel over charged. It's the best mechanic shop in town! He cares about his customers. He is a very smart mechanic. A few years ago he was listening to me ramble on about a steering vibration issue. He asked me a few questions and right away new it was a bubble on my tire. I thought tie rods or alignment. Some how he went straight to my tire and found a bubble on the inside of the tire and told me to go straight to the tire shop. He is an amazing mechanic.

My review cant do justice to what a great shop Mario runs. I've been coming to Mario's for over a decade. Excellent service and very knowledgeable, trustworthy mechanics. Even though I haven't lived in the area for several years, I still take my truck to Mario's when I need service. These guys are awesome and when your vehicle's in their hands, you've got nothing to worry about.

Mario is a good honest guy with solid techs working for him. Won't try to upsell you on unnecessary services. I had a local 'Big Box' shop tell me my rear brakes were almost out and I had Mario look at them while doing some other services and he let me know they still had 25% left. Very knowledgeable and you can tell he's diagnosed similar issues on your specific model. Plus, they have a cool shop cat with great taste in Nissans! Highly recommended!

We just moved to Chico, so shopping around. Came and called a few places until finding Mario by a referral. Mario is not only an expert in what he do, but also go above and beyond to help us out. Prices are very reasonable and affordable in Chico. He also offered me a free inspection when I first call unlike any other places I call where they all charge diagnostic fee. He made me feel very welcome and I trust him on my cars as well as everyone's cars in the family.

Mario said he would call us multiple times throughout the process of service but did not. He also lost the key to the car and made a new copy without informing us until it was time to pick up the car. The final price of the service was over $1000 more than what was quoted, and he did a bunch of work without calling to ask/inform us. If you like good communication and honest prices, avoid this place like the plague

Much better than Chico car care, and big os! Being your car into Mario’s and he can get it done better than anyone around town. Was beyond impressed with my experience with him.
