Good place! They inspected my vehicle the same day I called, even though it was late in the afternoon. It needed a few bulbs and the headlights were clouded, all things I wanted to repair anyway. I brought it back the next day around 5:15 and was out the door with an inspection certificate by 6PM. Lots of great cafes along Charles St. just a block away made the wait time go by quickly, and they're very accommodating to call you when it's ready.

Good, fast service. I was able to leave my car in the morning before work (I work during their business hours) and they kindly fit my inspection into the schedule for the day. My car's got a lot of miles and I expected something to be wrong, but all looked good and I picked it up the same day. Highly recommend this place!

I had a great experience here! my car needed several repairs to pass the state inspection, and I got them all done here. Jack(?) was attentive and gave me frequent updates about sourcing parts. A note that the garage for inspection does not open by 8am, but you can drop your car off in the morning and likely get the inspection done same day.

I had tried a few different auto shops around the city to see if they would take a walk-in for a MD state inspection, and after many failed attempts and lots of frustration I called Zain. Right away, Zain assured me he would take care of me and fit me in before the end of the day, even on short notice. This was crucial and extremely relieving after the frustration I had in the morning with not being able to find anywhere else. When I arrived, Zain and his team greeted me right away and were thankful I had chosen them! They kept me updated on the timeline, gave me a call to let me know some findings they had, and quickly took care of the minor repairs and of course MD state inspection (I think Sean was who made the repairs). They finished up even a few hours before they had promised, and were nothing but kind, respectful, honest, and helpful throughout the process! I can't thank them enough, and certainly would recommend them to anyone (especially those living in Baltimore City).

The service was very convenient, I dropped off my car and it was ready an hour later. I like the option to pick up my car after the shop closes. I moved from out of state and haven’t ever needed a safety inspection, but my car passed with no problems and the whole experience was very smooth! The staff were friendly and helpful and I will definitely come back here for my next car.

They do a wonderful job great prices I wouldn’t trust anyone else to fix my car just dropped my car off at 9am for a serious issue my check engine was blanking and my car was shaking , I dropped it off at 9am and they fixed it before 10:30am . Not to mention I couldn’t tell them what was wrong and hey figured it out that fast and fixed it right away ! I been going here since 2018 and refuse to go anywhere else the prices are great and the mechanic are reliable .

I had a State Inspection completed here a few weeks ago and it went smoothly. They were honest with their assessment, quick, and I can appreciate FIFO (first in, first out). I'll recommend this convenient location every time. I walked over to Cross St Market, grabbed some tacos, and before I finished, I was called to let me know my car was done.

Love taking my car there, they are on point and very reasonable. Mechanics are very pleasant. But recently had a bad experience there. Think I have to find new auto repair shop. After reading another review now what I feel about incident was correct, someone replaced my cooper tire with another and the sensor on that tire had my sensor light to go off. I was a good customer since my inspection there and had all my repairs done there. If you can't stay and watch your car don't leave it by itself. I had a problem with my car and I just didn't want any other hands on at. So I took it back and was glad I did. Mechanic was very nice and again made me feel comfortable. Thanks very much

The guys working here are professional and well mannered. Greeted me as soon as I walked up and asked what I needed. Kept me updated and informed on what was happening and gave me an accurate time frame. They saw me waiting for my car outside and brought me out a chair without asking. Good service and people! If you want a good mechanic shop in the area this is it!

Brought my car in for an inspection and failed for tinted headlights (understandable). Picked my car back up with a flat tire and when I brought it up to Mr. Ghauri’s attention he was very defensive and I come to find out they cracked my rim somehow, he kept making excuses and eventually I decided to leave rather than waste my time there, terrible experience and customer service, wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

They don't take appointments for inspections, even if you call ahead of time and ask, and when you ask for an estimate on how long something will take, they are extremely vague. When I called to set up a re-inspection appointment, I was told it "wouldn't take long". It took them 2ish hours to re-inspect the car. Upon initial inspection, I wasn't given a quote and was told I would be given one on Monday. I was never called and had to call back three times to just get a quote on repairs, and then was severely over-quoted. Additionally, they left my engine cover under the hood detached and just sitting there after my first inspection. After re-inspection, my car started making popping noises on sharp turns--which only became an issue after I left my car with them. I am planning to take the care elsewhere to identify any damage they may have done to the suspension system and report the station to the MVA. Staff is rude, unprofessional, and slow. Literally take your car anywhere else to get it inspected--this place is a huge waste of time and money. They will over-quote you on repairs if they think that you won't question the price.

I brought my car in for repair and at the end of the day they said they had fixed the problem and replaced parts.. Only to discover that they hadn't fixed anything in my car and hadn't replaced any parts.. They had stolen my money.

I called the station and asked if I could get a Maryland State Inspection and Synthetic Oil Change. I was informed sure, bring it in. Upon arriving I filled out the form and began to wait. The inspector/Zain Ghauri felt is was more important for him to wax his Lexus, polishing the sides and hood while I waited 35 minutes for him to finish, then walk into the bays for an additional 10 minutes fiddling around. I was about to leave when he said he was ready to pull my vehicle in. 2022 Hyundai Kona. I had arrived at 810am and departed at 1015..... Mr. Ghauri could not find anything to fail my vehicle for except my front right tire which should not have failed the inspection. A different gentleman brought me my bill $197.38 which I felt was most definitely overcharged, and was informed that they could have a tire and install it by 3pm for approximately $130.?? I went to a different Maryland Inspection Station to get their opinion on the tire that failed and was informed that it was cosmetic, no treads or bubbles were shown or exposed and the tire should NOT have failed. I then went to a used tire shop and they also said the tire was in good shape and that it again was only cosmetic and should NOT have failed. Afterwards, I returned to have the tire reinspected which is a quick visual check since the cosmetic issue was on the outside wall of the tire, but of course... Mr. Ghauri had me waiting again as he said he had to put my vehicle on the lift.... which was not necessary at all. After waiting exactly 47 minutes, Mr. Ghauri came out of the bay, asked me if the replaced tire was new or used, I informed him that it was used, he asked me what the milage on my vehicle was, glanced down at the tire, walked back into the bay then came out with the passing Inspection report. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone and will NEVER return. Mr. Ghauri is arrogant and could care less about customers or their time. It's all about him and his self righteousness having the customer wait on him until he feels good and ready to do his job, I'm assuming he was upset because I didn't buy a unnecessary tire from him when he failed my Inspection. I'll definitely be informing a Baltimore State Police Officer/State Vehicle Inspector of what happened here so they can investigate mine and previous inspections as I am full aware that they can and will revoke licenses. If Mr. Ghauri had just begun my Inspection instead of me having to call him out about having me wait while he polished his Lexus, pass my Inspection as he should have instead of being petty, all this could have been avoided and this company would have received an awesome review.

This place is a scam. Brought my car in for an inspection, they failed it, and told me to bring it back and pay $ for another inspection. I took my car to another shop, it passed with no issue. Plus the car just passed another state's inspection not long ago. They take advantage, not honest or trust worthy, and try to get more money.

My friend Vershawn recommended I go here for a motorcycle inspection. I made the phone call. A man gruffly answered the phone. I asked if he knew Vershawn; he said he didn’t. I asked the man if he had any appointments at noon the next day. He hung up. Fortunately, Harley had appointments the next day.
