I'll make this clear I'm not a car person. I know basics to take care of it, but I can't fix an engine on my own like some people I know. I went in because after an oil change at my usual shop, there were some warning codes, one for the speed sensor and one for the catalytic converter. They said maybe the converter issue might be a recall, couldn't find anything online so figured may as well ask them while I'm at the Nissan place. I am getting the transmission issue figured out with one of the mechanics there who is great, but the way the people at the front openly stared at me with judging eyes as they insulted the intelligence of my usual shop off for even insinuating there might be a recall on the converter off put me immensely. Guess they have something against college kids who just wanna make sure their car is running okay. And I can say this from others experiences there, the people getting grease on their hands are great, the people up front with the suits are scary as hell and unwelcoming.

Bought a used rouge and have had alot of problems with it (electrical) and now going back for warranty work knowing it's going to take more than 1 day to fix the issues they won't help us with a loaner even tho every other matthews (chevy,gmc,Subaru) all give loaners for warranty work especially if it's going to take more than a day to fix. It's going in for air conditioner not working and a bunch of electrical issues added, would be nice if I was worked with rather than them telling me I can go to enterprise and rent a car in this economy

Never been satisfied with the service I got from this place. I purchased the car from the dealership and that was fine but service wise, is the worst I ever seen with lack of honesty or may be professionally weak. They made me change alternator and the light was still on. When I called them, lady on phone told me the new alternator you put was bad without offering to have a look! I will never do any service in this dealership again.

Everyone was extremely cordial and accommodating. The price of the repairs was really high ($1300) but my car is performing as it should. I live in binghamton but work in Baltimore, but I traveled all the way home because I didn't want anyone else looking at my car!!! Thanks to everyone at Matthews Nissan Service Center!!!!!

Recently, our transmission died on our Rogue that we bought here before Matthews took over, and we had the car towed to this service location. They looked to see what exactly was wrong, and when I was given the bad news, they quoted me 8 grand to do the transmission, and another part that doesn't need to be done yet(hi, I know cars, and just fixed this particular thing). Knowing how much all the parts cost, 8 grand is insane, especially when you can't get a transmission that isn't over 100k for my particular model. On top of that, not once was any sort of diagnostic fee mentioned in the THREE phone calls I had with them. The next day, we ended up buying a new car from a different dealership, and when their tow company went to pick it up from Nissan, Nissan refused to let them. Suddenly I had an almost $200 bill. I was told by the tow operator, and the person at the dealership that those they dealt with at Matthews were really rude and stand offish. They wouldn't let us get my car until I paid that. Talk about dishonest! I had three separate phone calls about this car with them, and no one mentioned any sort of fee. I have NEVER had to pay a diagnostic fee anywhere before, including at dealership service centers, so I wasn't expecting one! Maybe lead with that from now on, Matthews.

Very unhappy with my service from this shop. I have brought in my 2023 Altima multiple times, and twice it was to no avail as they couldn’t replicate the problem, which is understandable and that I wasn’t unnecessarily disappointed about. But two days after I brought it in for a brake light warning on my dash, I had to get my car towed because the braking system failed on me and I was stuck for hours with a faulty E-brake not disengaging. Yes, I had multiple people try to get it unengaged and nothing worked. Whatever, the brake failing isn’t the service’s fault. However, after a few short days of them fixing it, the car is ALREADY running poorly. The brake still feels engaged and is not drivable. It does not want to move. I’m very disappointed in the amount of times I’ve gone to this shop and to no avail.

Update Thank you for responding I did receive the message from your Service Manager Andrea Barrett, but after I was turned away by your advisor's I contacted another dealership and got the work done the very next day. ------------------------------------------------ I went to get my tires, front and rear brakes replace on a Armada. When I arrived I was informed that they received an email stating my appointment was canceled. I never received a text message or phone call of my appointment being "cancelled". They said they received the email on Wednesday and my appointment was on Thursday. I was never shown the email all they said that they can't do it today at all even though I was there 10 mins before my appointment which was at 8:30 and I will have to reschedule it for the following week which I was going away in two days and needed these items replace before the trip. I nor my wife had emailed them and like I mentioned before I was never shown the email. With that being said if you're a customer there and have your information stored in their database please be advised that their system my have been hacked and information may been leaked. Please contact the dealership or corporate office to make sure your information is secured. This was a major inconvenience with no accomodations by the dealership. My original appointment was scheduled weeks in advance.

Would highly recommend the service department. The service manager, Matt is very kind, professional and honest. When I went in to get a NYS inspection, my car needed front brakes and rotors to pass. They completed the work quickly and properly. They also advised me about several upcoming wear items that would need to be replaced soon and priced them out. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. The service manager and tech really went above and beyond, staying late to make sure I was taken care of.

Kudos to everyone in the Service Department and techs who handle detailing! I purchased a certified 2021 Rogue SV a few weeks ago through Justin who is also fabulous. They completed a couple of recalls and had the car ready for me to take delivery the next day. When I did, I discovered a water stain in the middle of the back seat (light colored interior) that I hadn’t noticed during my test drive the day before. The next day, they was a bubble in the coating of the chrome rear bumper protector that hadn’t been there before. A set of Rogue floor mats that had been sitting in the cargo area when I test drove the vehicle had been installed. I didn’t remove the paper protector from the driver’s side floor until a couple of days later and noticed there was no floor mat under it. Justin happily arranged for the missing floor mat to be ordered, and today the detailing techs did a fantastic job cleaning the stain off of the back seat bench as well as two dark smudges from the inside door panel fabric, AND they replaced the faulty chrome bumper plate— all free of charge! The shuttle driver was very friendly, got me to work early, and picked me up from there exactly when expected. Matt made sure I felt welcome and let me know I could stop in anytime even just for simple questions about my first SUV and first Nissan. A+, Matthews Nissan!! Thank you.

UPDATE: Spoke with Tonya and Mark who were very willing to make sure nothing was wrong. Mark was great and was willing to drive the car with me. While we were driving, he explained some of the handling issues I was experiencing and was able to put my mind at ease. Will go again in the future when my Nissan needs some love. Thank you! _____________________________________ They did not do a wheel alignment on my Nissan Versa after replacing the control arm but charged me for it anyway. I'm not even sure they installed the control arm correctly. I knew I should have turned around before I left the parking lot when I saw the steering wheel wasn't straight. Steering felt worse than before I had it "fixed." I would have taken it back but I am busy and their location is a little out of the way for me. Ended up taking my vehicle to Firestone to do a proper alignment. Note the before and after alignment in the photo from Firestone and the misaligned steering wheel. I thought I'd get better service by taking my Nissan to a Nissan service place.

Top notch, honest service. I’ve never ever had an issue with these guys. They’ve had plenty of opportunity to tell me something was wrong with my wife’s car or mine, and they always give me the most reasonable cost worthy solution. A small auto shop told me 800$ to replace the muffler system and Mathews just changed the bracket for $120. Tanya also assisted me with some transmission issues, I was a little upset and they talked me through everything and got the issues resolved quickly and super painless. I’ll never go anywhere else!!! Thank you Mathews!!!!!!
