I also talked to the assistant manager Mia since im super interested in learning more about cars and she was super helpful even out of just doing the service so all around great service!!

I’m new to the area and this shop had great reviews. I now know why! I put A LOT of miles on my car and knew I was in need of a tune up. The manager, Rebecca, was so thorough and transparent. On my own car, she physically showed me the current problems, explained their severity, how their condition should actually be, and what was NECESSARY to fix it. This gave me peace of mind that I wasn’t paying for services I didn’t need (but are often pushed at other shops). She then walked me through financials, gave me a range of pricing options, and helped me set up my payment plan. Finding a reliable mechanic is SO HARD but I’m entirely confident in recommending Mavis South. These are really good people who genuinely want to help!

I had an emergency with my truck. I pulled into work and could barely get the brakes to work to stop. Frantically, I called around on my lunch break to see if anyone could take a look at it and maybe get me back on the road so I could drive the half an hour home. Rebecca answered the phone and was so chipper and personable. She and the team got to see me right away! They diagnosed and fixed the issue promptly. The team was very busy that day and still managed to take excellent care of me. Rebecca and the mechanic who fixed the truck, Ken, even spoke to my father to explain all the technical stuff for me, showed me exactly what was wrong and let me take photos. Even though they were swamped, they even diagnosed a few other issues with the car and set me up with referrals for issues they don’t take care of (transmission and a faulty gas tube - as you can see I don’t speak car and driver). They were so kind, and patient and took the time to explain it all to me and my father. Ken was supposed to be off at 11 am that day, and yet he chugged along cheerfully to ensure I could get back on the road safely. He and Rebecca stayed after hours to ensure I would make it home safely. I left with literal tears of gratitude in my eyes. There’s a vulnerability going to a mechanic, knowing absolutely nothing about cars - but these two created the best service experience I have had bar none!! Ken and Rebecca are absolute God-given angels and blessings to me. I won’t ever forget their kindness, professionalism, or expertise - they have found a lifelong customer in me. In addition, while I was there, I overheard some of their interactions with other customers and employees. Rebecca was exceptional with every single customer. She even went and pumped air for a customer after closing hours because he thought they were open! And I heard her be so grateful to all the mechanics, and techs. She told each employee who was leaving how much she appreciated their hard work and overtime and how grateful she was to have them on the team at this Mavis. I pray for heaps of blessings on these two! May God bless them both and may the rest of the world begin to remember how to give service the way these two do!!

Had a very low tire and made it to Mavis after work. They looked at it right away and were able to spot a nail immediately, without even having it on the lift, and told me they were able to patch it. In less than an hour, I was on my way. Everyone there was super friendly and attentive - I HIGHLY recommend coming here!!

Not a good experience here. I have a 2002 Volvo S80 which belongs to my daughter that needed an alignment. I went on a Tuesday for an alignment. Got there at 4:30 PM for the appointment. Appointment finished at 6:00 PM. As I drove home, steering wheel was pointed completely opposite direction. But it gets worse, the wheel would suddenly jolt to being centered and vehicle would suddenly veer very quickly into oncoming traffic or the grass, depending on which side of the road I am on. I have to hold steering wheel firmly to make sure I control the car and not crash into anything. I called back, explained what happened. They said they would do another alignment free of charge to correct issue. I went on Wednesday afternoon after work at 4:30 PM. Was told they did several alignments, several test drives, alignment is apparently dead center and vehicle still jolts around and wheel still turned. I was there till almost 7 PM waiting that long with a wife and kids waiting for me at home. Finally left and was told if vehicle still behaves like that to call again to get refund. Vehicle still drove the way it did by veering all over the road, and on top of that when I go around slight curves at 35 to 40 MPH the tires screech loud as if I'm in a race car burning out. On a Thursday I got the refund issued. I then send the 5 alignment print outs to a friend who I've known personally for years that I trust and who service's cars and he said "Alignment sheet do not show the before and after. The only thing they ever touched was toe. I'm looking at it and I'm reading it like a book, I'm telling you the paper doesn't show that they touched anything but the toe." So after all of this, instead of correcting the alignment so it drives correctly, the vehicle is now more dangerous to drive. And I have to get this fixed within 5 days from today so my daughter can drive safely and not drive a dangerous car when she gets back from college. Attached in this review is a photo of the steering wheel when I drive straight after all those alignments. Clearly I am not returning here for future service.

As a college student, I value my time immensely, and I always hate having to visit other mechanic when I come home from school, but this experience was like no other! as far as time orientation, I was in and out within 30 minutes, but it felt shorter with the great conversations that I had with the wonderfully friendly staff at this location. Next, the service was superb and I didn’t feel the mechanics breathing down my neck for random fees that you find at other mechanics. This visit was very warm and receiving as well as also being effective and concise with the service. The only thing that could have improved, my experience was the temperature of the waiting area as I noticed it was a bit cold for myself and another patrons. Overall 10/10 great experience, Will be coming back again for any future services!

I made a reservation 11/21 to get my tires checked out, and see if a rim was bent. From the second I walked in the door Rebecca, took the best care of me she was extremely helpful, showed concern for my issue, wrote up a detailed report identifying concerns the tech found with my vehicle. Rebecca’s customer service is top notch, and was consist with each guest, who came in during my visit. The mechanics at Mavis do a great job, and finish within a reasonable time frame.
