If you are lucky enough to find Russ at the shop you have a chance for 5 star service. Year ago Russ fixed my truck it was great. Came in last month with charging issues. They charged over $200 for diagnostic and replaced battery terminals that did not need to be changed. Tried to make me to change the serpentine belt and tensioner for few hundred extra but never found the problem. I left few messages for Russ to call me but never happened. Picked up my truck brought it home took a day of found the problem in the connector to the alternator. Bought connector from autozone and fixed it myself.

Excellent shop! Dan and Russ do a superb job of taking care of the customer, from the start of business to completion. They are always available for updates, always answer the phone, and do the kind of work that you just don’t see in shops anymore. Attention to detail and thoroughness come to mind, not to mention honesty. For instance, when I asked Russ to complete a task on the injector pump, he indicated the job had been done previously. He could have easily taken advantage of the situation, and charged me for the work, even though it had already been completed. Instead, he lowered the bill by the appropriate amount. Can’t say enough about these guys. They know their stuff, work hard, and deliver as promised.

Was recommended this shop to work on my 88’ diesel van and wish I never listened. Poor communication for the first visit, got my van back and the problem I sent it in for was still occurring. Sent the van back, there was better communication and when I got the vehicle back I discovered it still had the same issues that weren’t resolved. Management was apologetic and said they’d get me compensated then I was ghosted and never heard back. Have tried to email and call with no answer. Do NOT take your truck here.

Recently purchased a 2002 LB7 Duramax from a local dealer in Escondido (Rico’s auto sales, don’t buy from there) where they showed me receipts for ALLEGEDLY replacing all 8 fuel injectors but sure enough after a couple weeks of driving I noticed I was having smoke coming out of my exhaust. After chasing my tail and the dealer misdiagnosing my truck swearing up and down that the issues weren’t injector related I came to Russ who was VERY professional and he knew immediately it was my injectors. He helped not only diagnose my smoke problem but also found several other errors that the dealer had been hiding from me that didn’t show up on my dash or message board. Russ and his Crew of experienced mechanics got my truck up and running in less than a week and gave me very detailed videos and documentation showing all the work they did. Everything is priced fairly and you receive quality work that’s tough to beat!

This shop had our truck for months. We’ve spent thousands of dollars and beyond that, we invested and gave our trust. Shop Manager has weak customer service skills and less than average etiquette. We asked for two things: to fix our truck and to communicate. This shop could barely do one let alone both. Owner/Manager were caught in several lies regarding call backs, ordering parts, etc. When confronting them to dispute these basic needs as a customer, they did a great job at trying to gaslight us in making us feel as we were the issue. Will gladly pay a bit more elsewhere if it means peace of mind, human decency & a fixed truck. 0/10. Two thumbs down.

The guys at Maximum Diesels are the best. Russ is very knowledgeable and extremely honest. My truck has been maintained by the guys for over 15 years. They do everything for routine maintenance to extend builds. Give them a shut if you have a diesel.

Oh my, you just won't admit that it was totally your fault...... well the judge saw through your lies and that's all that matters. Keep lying and you will keep driving good customers away! IMPORTANT UPDATE! Well we took them to Small Claims Court and won! Maximum Diesels was ordered to pay all monies due to us including the gas we lost, hotel reservation, all court costs etc. because of their incompentent mechanical skills.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! We took our truck in because the light came on and our gas gauge stopped working. They said it was a bad sending unit so we had them replace it. We left a few days later after picking up our truck to Az. We stopped at Sams Club Bullhead and filled up the tanks before we checked in to our hotel.. When we came back to the truck a few hours later we found that the fuel had been leaking onto their parking lot (so much that security and the fire dept had been called and were there). Of course being on a weekend we had to wait two days to be able to get someone to fix it. Meanwhile we had no truck and had to extend our stay there not to mention the gas lost. The seal on the tank had not been installed properly causing the leak.. The did reimburse us the cost of the repair but only that.. A couple months later we had to bring it to them again because the light came on again.. They said it was a faulty sending unit again and replaced it but did charge us a diagnostic fee which we feel should never had been charged since it was the same issue. Well again short while later the light came on again so this time to try and avoid another diagnostic fee we stopped at Autozone to plug their little diagnostic tool and it said again something wrong with the sending unit so we brought the truck back to them. Needless to say they were not happy and would not fix it and said it was because we were overfilling the auxiliary tank but we have a gravity fill tank so that is not possible. (Note we have had our truck for years and know how to fill the tanks.). Only if we had an electric pump could that happen and we do not.. When the mechanic brought the truck out to us we asked him about it and he told us it was never looked at this time so couldnt say why this was happening. We then immediately took it to another mechanic and they fixed it. We informed the Bureau of Automotive and they investigated and found they were at fault and that besides that the new mechanic said the seal again was not installed properly even though it had not started leaking yet and the Bureau's agent informed them that the reason saying we were overfilling the tank was false and suggested that they return all monies involved but they refused.. The owner has been informed we will be going to court on this. Hope he knows that he must tell the truth or it is perjury and we have all documents in place. Whatever you do dont go to Maximum Diesels if you want honesty. YOUR RESPONSE IS FAR FROM TRUTHFUL! Again there is nothing wrong with our auxiliary tank and yes you spoke to the Bureau of Automotive and they told you you were wrong and that you should return all monies involved and I Do have documentation on this! It will probably take a few months to get this settled in court because they are backed up in cases but rest assured when it is settled I will post my win here. Hopefully you will not end in jail by perjury in court!

The crew at Maximum Diesels are AWESOME! We refer EVERYONE to them because they're honest, do great work and they're down to earth folks. They have wrenched on our 1996 F-350 for 3+ years now. They've installed a FASS lift pump, new injectors, fuel bowl delete kit, regulated return kit, new BD transmission, HPOP, low volume oil pump, misc sensors, custom fuel tanks with transfer pumps....etc, etc. NOBODY else touches our trucks but MAXIMUM DIESELS. Thanks again guys. Sending 3 more trucks your way this week!!

Dan and the team at Maximum Diesels did an amazing work AND provided stellar customer service when it came to work with me. I had brought my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 in for a pre-purchase inspection before selling my truck. I ended up coming back to have them complete an oil leak repair for the weekend. Instead of expecting to pick up the truck on a Monday afternoon, they managed to squeeze me into their tight schedule and got the job done on a Friday night. That means I got to have the truck for the weekend. Not only did I have the vehicle back within a day's time, I also received competitive pricing AND such a great customer service. It takes skill to do auto mechanic work, but a real business is ran with customer-centered service. Maximum Diesels provides exactly that. I HIGHLY recommend anyone in the area to bring their diesel trucks in for technical and customer-based service in San Jacinto, CA.
