Bought myself a 2009 Altima here in august of 2012. It had roughly 41k miles on it and its been running like a dream so far. I even took it for a road trip in March this year (2013) to South Carolina. Not the slightest issue there either. I told the guy that helped me what I needed from a vehicle and he knew just what to show me to, and that was the Altima that would become mine shortly there-after! I am disgusted with the way that my experience turned out. I would love to say that my experience was amazing as I am happy with my purchase. I am just unhappy with who received my business. I was treated as though I was beneath those who I came in contact with because I "looked young." I then decided to put a payment down on the car in cash and received a snide comment about how he "hoped I didn't just print this off." This was offensive and unprofessional. The entire time I was in the store I was treated as a young kid who had no idea what she was doing and had to prove myself at every single step. Any opportunity they had to get more money out of me, they took it and were upset when I was able to see past that. I understand the nature of the business but it also requires professionalism and a certain degree of customer service. As someone who works in customer service, the service I received does not deserve the amount of money that they received. I am upset that I did not take my down payment back and go elsewhere with my business, I would have paid and will in the future pay more money to a different dealership in order to prevent them from getting my business and ensure a better, less stressful and frustrating experience. Not only was I treated poorly, but they were blatantly trying to "pull one over on me" or were unable to use their computer program correctly. The numbers I received were off and they continued to be off throughout the entire process until I reached a financial coordinator, Armad, who was the only helpful employee I came across. Thanks to him I was able to get a little excited about my car as he was supportive and was concerned with how I felt. The sales tax was printed wrong and the title and registration amount were also printed wrong and the manager told me a different number every time I spoke with him. They were charging me more on paper for both the sales tax and the registration and title. Once I signed all the paper work and was set up for the car, they gave me the keys and sent me on my way...without having collected my full down payment. If I had wanted to I could have left the dealership with my money still in hand. The unprofessional nature of my visits was appalling and a staff change could not come soon enough for this dealership. I am disappointed with my experience as I feel as though it could have gone better if the individuals involved were friendly and able to listen to what I had to say instead of getting frustrated. This includes a manager which I thought was atrocious. Both myself and my parents have been Chevy drivers all of our lives and have never received such treatment. I would not recommend this location and they did not deserve my business.

I have to say I love this dealership, and believe me, I don't say this lightly. In fact, I haven't said that to any other dealerships I had my cars serviced. People are helpful and nice there. They seem to be happy, uplifting, efficient, and are willing to do honest business. Turnover is low as I see pretty much everyone I met a few years ago is still there. When I stop by the dealership on weekends, I often brought my entire family, including four little ones. People there would joke and play with them, whether or not they are directly involved with working with me on a deal. Armad, Luis, Ralph, Shelby, and Tom, you are my favorites! They are tremendous assets to the dealership. Treat them well!

I like the place overall. I recently bought a used 1500 Silverado with about 14k miles. I think the transmission might be slipping in and out of first but Iโm not to concerned as itโs warranted. Will call shop tomorrow to have it looked at but overall again it was a good experience and this transmission doesnโt scare me to much cause Iโm sure it will be corrected if need be. Edit: Would reduce stars but I blame myself thinking Chevy would handle the issue for 3 yrs they said the hard shifting was normal, then the transmission pretty much exploded. Lol replaced it with no further warranty even tho these models have come to be know lemons. Lesson learned sold it for a Subaru legacyโฆ yeah it was that bad. ๐คฃ๐ sold my 2018 hot wheels Camaro too(kinda regret it now tho) looked nice but probably would blow up too.

I knew what car I wanted when I first made my appointment, and David White made the process very quick and easy. When I arrived at McDermott the vehicle was running and ready for me to look at, no waiting at all. A little bit of paperwork and a few minutes later I was test driving the vehicle. This dealership has gone straight down the drain since the aquisition by Craptree Group! All managers gone, sales people gone, and a service department that cant find sand at the beach! Rude, lassafair attutudes, lying and just unreasonable, PERIOD! Called Hamden Chevy and what difference. Seven vehicles here.... bought and NEVER AGAIN! AVOID CRAPTREE CHEVY PERIOD!!

I was looking @ a 2009 Corvette Z06 with 26k miles on Friday afternoon 10/24/23. They wanted $47,800. I offered them $45,000 in Cash "real money" as in no check, & they refused. Now, 3 days later it's listed for $46k. If they were smart, they would of accepted $45,000 IN CASH. How Dumb.. ALL used cars have fallen 10-15% just in the past 2 weeks.

Update 1/27/2024: My second fob finally came in. I raised the rating. Communication could have been better. Brought my car in for service 6/14/2024. Excellent customer service from Tanya P and Ryan. ***Beware CHECK ENGINE AFTER PAYMENT ALERT โขMC DERMOTT LEXUS EAST HAVEN โขMay 4 th 2024 I walked in and said I would like a car that I can register for my business and that I just started a local business a few blocks away here in The East Haven. I explained that Iโm disabled and need a vehicle that can get me where I need to go without issue. I was told by John Keklik that they had a 2017 Mercedes that had passed 160 point inspection and was ready to go. He and I agreed on $ 20,000 out the door. I got the cashiers check within an hour. Before I pulled off. I noticed a nail in the tires so the gentleman John Keklik said we will fix that in a few days by ordering me new tires,. I started the car in the morning and turn the air conditioner on and for about 10 minutes. The worst smell ever came out of the air conditioner that smelled and itโs still there. Thereโs something rotten inside the car engine I drove to the car wash a block away from my house another only two blocks from the dealer and the next morning the light came on and I went to AutoZone and they told me itโs a booster sensor issue. I went to the dealer and he told me that when the tires come in, they will fix the light. I told him that the car is crawling in four-wheel-drive and I cannot drive it so he gave me a loaner for a few days and took my car then gave it back to me a few days later off and started saying things like โAS ISโ. I told him you canโt turn the light off and sell me the car knowing that itโs gonna break down the next day for $20,000. I told him that would destroy my business. Within three days, the light came back on and has come on after a few days every time they repair it. 5 times the light went off because they turned it off and then it came back on when I left the next day. in the past six weeks they have not documented what the actual issue is only that theyโve turned the light back off. Well the next day the light came on again and now itโs on to stay because it wonโt turn off and they donโt know why. the lights back on and theyโre telling me Iโm stuck with the car unless I want to give it back to them for 14,000 on the trade-in which is 6000+ less than what I gave them a few weeks ago. Since theyโve had the car and have done several repairs to try to fix the check engine light., they took out a circuit or a coil and caused another light โanti collision lightโ to become inoperable it that they caused. I have another light on and theyโre telling me that they donโt know why the lights on, but they canโt turn it off. Mc Dermutts suggestion is I sell it somewhere else and take a loss of $7000 to Them or pay them $11,000 more to get into a different vehicle The most difficult part was that from day one I was offered a warranty on a vehicle thatโs not in warranty and if I wouldโve took it and paid almost $1000 that day I wouldโve had seven repairs done in six weeks which wouldโve broke my company. After I raised the issue that I was not happy with the service I was kindly escorted out the door, as if I did not matter to them as they reminded me that most likely no lawyer would take this kind of case and Iโm most likely just stuck with the car as they all talked about their firearm licenses for whatever reason they decided to bring that up., that stung. Someone told me years ago when when I had become disabled that there is a lot of people who would try to take advantage of you so Iโm always cautious but this time me being trusting with Lexus McDermott cost me $7000 and now Iโm stuck with the car I cannot pass emissions with, and I just bought it a few weeks ago and they have no way out of this other than telling me to leave and buy a warranty from them that will of course have me spending absorbent amounts of money over and over and over and over again. Today is July 3 and already missed Fatherโs Day last week and two jobs out of town. Tomorrow is July 4 and I donโt have a usable vehicle after spending $20,000 and thereโs no way they are able to help me. 7/8/2024 Blinking engine light within 24 hours of me driving away.
