Unable to give 0 stars - after pulling codes and running diagnostics for a brake light switch failure, wanted to charge me $4200 for a OEM TIPM, which I found at a MOPAR retailer for $1600. Then after getting actual codes, did 15 minutes of research on the Brake Light Switch code and found it to be that actual part was $15. Bought and replaced myself, codes cleared. Don't go to this shop. Either gross incompetence or gross malfeasance.

I was recommended to come here by an oil change place after they discovered underlying issues in my AC system while attempting a recharge (great service at that oil change place). I relayed my issues to the mechanic here, and then they quoted me DOUBLE the price for an AC recharge than the oil change place did ($320 vs $160); I told the mechanic that and they bumped the price down to $270, while saying that those guys at the oil change place “aren’t real mechanics” and they “don’t always know what they’re talking about”. I asked what the repairs might be for a broken AC system and a price estimate, and they explained that it could be anything from a blown fuse (cheap) to a faulty compressor (expensive)— which is why they couldn’t give a total repair estimate. They said for them to properly diagnose the system, they’d have to drain the AC system (and charge the $270), diagnose the issue, fix it, and add the cost of it. This makes sense, but the lead up to it all felt sketchy. They didn’t provide the option of diagnosis beforehand (which is entirely possible for an AC system, whether it’s a fuse, a leak, or a broken compressor) to let me decide if I wanted to continue with servicing, and instead tried to rope it into one big price. I’ve never encountered this issue with any well-intentioned mechanic.

Meineke #1250 If I could give them zero or negative stars, I would. I was not only overcharged on the price of the parts but also the upselling to make an already expensive service even more profitable for their store was frustrating and disappointing. And, to add insult to injury, the brakes still don’t work. Brand new brakes are noisy, I know that; but 5 months later, there continues to be grinding, vibrating, and squealing. I’ll admit the noise is not during every trip, but it is daily. Having the counter person, patronize and gaslight me when I brought the vehicle in did not solve the problem either. Sadly, I believe I have to accept that I cannot trust any auto-related business to do a good job for a fair/reasonable price. I understand wanting to make a profit, but 50% markup is ridiculous! And doing poor-quality work is shameful and dangerous. Because I do care about my safety and the safety of other drivers, I have to eat the cost of getting the brakes inspected and corrected elsewhere, but I want to warn others about Meineke store #1250. I probably would have been better off watching a tutorial video and doing it myself; I certainly couldn’t have done any worse!

I scheduled an alignment online, show up for the appointment and the guy says he can't get my car on the rack. It's a stock height 2007 Ford Mustang, he suggested I call a different Meineke to see if they were able to do it, and that guy was confused about why this guy couldn't get it on the rack. Chances are he double booked and instead of making it work, is telling me he can't get it on there. I took time off work, made an appointment, and show up to this. Absolutely ridiculous. My car isn't lowered, it's not modified. It's just a normal car.

EDIT: I called the number below and ended up talking with the same person who gave me the same run around and offered no resolution. I requested a call back from SOMEONE ELSE, and to date I have not received a call. I have emailed Meineke Corporate and tried to call and was directed to call the store. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. My vehicle was in for some service on 5/17. Reported issues were grinding noise when driving, and AC not cooling. I had advised that the grinding noise sounded like a faulty wheel bearing. And I had advised that I did not believe that the AC needed only a coolant charge, but that I believed there was an additional issue with the AC system since the compressor was not engaging at all. 1) I agreed to have the AC system diagnosed and recharged ($300). It was determined that a fuse had blown, that was replaced but then blew again almost immediately after leaving your shop. I have since had it diagnosed elsewhere and it is the compressor. The compressor is in obviously poor shape and is leaking. Compressor has been replaced elsewhere and AC functions properly now. 2) I paid for a full synthetic oil change. Please see the pictures attached of the oil filter area. This is after less than 300 miles of driving (288). Given the condition of the filter housing and the stickers I do not believe my oil was changed. When I called to speak to the manager he said that looked like one of their filters, and that if I paid for the oil change then they did it. I asked for a refund and he said I could bring my vehicle to them to look at, but that his answer would most likely be the same, that the oil change was done. 3) The suspension noise was diagnosed as control arms. Those were replaced and the noise persists. Very disappointed in the service, and that I paid for an oil change that was obviously not done. The oil, after 288 miles of driving was black and the level was 1-2 quarts low, and the filter looks very old and does not appear to have been changed. I will be filing a chargeback with my credit card company for the fees I paid for the oil change. Find somewhere else to take your vehicle. After more than $1500 I'm left with the same issues I walked in here with.

Went in for a catalytic converter repair. Did a quick diagnostic to confirm what dealership found. Meineke easily scheduled me for an appointment. Gave us a better price for the repair and offered more.

Don’t go here. I drive about 40 minutes to utilize this location because I have really appreciated their service, however the last few times it has been horrible to the point that this time I didn’t even get an inspection report. They didn’t send me a digital copy and the receipt that they gave me also didn’t say anything about what was done or what needs to be done. The time before this, they said that I needed my brakes done, which I had done myself the month prior and they clearly used my last inspection instead of doing a whole new one. And on top of all of this, they charge me double this time what I paid last time.

Unfortunately, Meineke Hillsboro has gone seriously downhill. The person working the front desk in the evenings is extremely rude and appeared to be intoxicated, was extremely dishonest, and unprofessional. Not sure his name but he’s the scrawny guy with the goatee very unkept. He used foul language too whoever is in charge of hiring there really dropped the ball. This location used to be reliable, but after multiple bad experiences, we’ve completely stopped taking any of our vehicles here and will no longer recommend it to anyone. They have lost a life long client due to this scummy man’s behavior. Management or ownership seriously needs to step in, pay attention to who they’re hiring, and get control of what’s happening at the front desk. One employee has been enough to drive long-time customers away and from the looks of other reviews this guy has been driving this location down hill

My alternator was going out. I was able to get in on a weekend last minute and after a few hours my alternator was replaced with a brand new OEM one. They even offered to give me a ride home while the truck was getting worked on so I wouldn’t have to sit in the lobby and wait. Awesome customer service.

The folks were very helpful with my needs. Didn't upsell even though they had plenty of ammo to do so. I came into this building wanting just a break and oil change. I know my car had other problems but they sold me what I came in for.

Excellent experience! Went in asking for total brake replacement, as the front brakes were screeching. They were very honest and said, the brakes were all at least 50 percent still remaining, that the front brakes were just glazed. I appreciate the high integrity. We ultimately chose to replace the front set of brakes, as the sound was terrible when we brought it in. Problem solved, and we are very pleased.

Stopped in because my check engine light came on and was flashing. Greg got my car right in to see what was wrong. Come to find out it was a simple fix it just needed spark plugs. The mechanic got it fixed right away and also did a full inspection. I could only afford the spark plugs at this time but due to the kindness and knowledge of Greg I will definitely be back to do the recommended services when I can afford it. Highly recommend this establishment!!!

I had a great experience at the Hillsboro Meineke location. My vehicle was thoroughly inspected during a routine oil change. Greg took extra time to ensure that I could make an educated decision on other services that my vehicle needed. I left here feeling safer in my vehicle than when I got there. His customer care is beyond what I expect when getting service done on my vehicle. Thank you, Greg!

Greg explained the process of diagnosis at the beginning. His mechanic, Matt, was kind enough to give me a ride home so I didn't have to wait hours for the repair. The first attempt at the solution didn't fix the problem, but I was notified promptly and guaranteed that they wouldn't charge me any extra labor. As it turned out the extra charges would have been over $500, but Greg didn't charge me!!! I strongly recommend Meineke in Hillsboro as an honest, reasonable option for your car care needs.

I am grateful for the outstanding service provided by Greg, the manager, who not only ensured my vehicle received top-notch care but also took the time to explain the necessary repairs, including the issues with my lights. As someone with limited knowledge of cars, I appreciated his clear explanations. The service was efficient and completed within the estimated timeframe. I will be recommending this location to my friends and family.
