Total scam artist mechanics. They had my friend's car for months, telling him he needed to fork over 3000 for a new transmission. I just went with him to check it out, the transmission was fine, metric motors drained the tranny fluid and disconnected some hoses to make it seem like it was messed up. Don't ever bring your car here. EVER.

Love your good work and the wonderful relationship over the years. I wouldn't feel right going to any other mechanic. The $99 car club has saved us money too. As you recall we first met you guys over 12 years ago when we brought a car in for a pre-purchase inspection, and you've kept us running for over 210,000 miles now. It gives us peace of mind knowing you take care of all our vehicles. I couldn't be happier with your courteous and friendly manner. Thanks, L.W.

My vehicle would heat up and spew antifreeze all over when parked. It did not over heat while running. They said it was either the fan clutch or the thermostat. ? A thermostat explains overheating, not antifreeze ALL over. "If" the fan wasn't coming on, which it was....then a fan clutch. They had NO idea what was wrong with it. I declined to leave it for repair. My husband took it to the car wash & discovered the radiator overflow was split down the seam. It's a plastic reservoir and hard to see the problem @ first. A plastic reservoir was $48....and the problem was fixed.....by my husband! Another time I needed them to reset a service light that comes on every 30k miles. They said it wasn' t where it was supposed to be installed. They couldn't find it. Didn't cost me anything. I took it to the dealer. They said it's exactly where it's supposed to be. Just not familiar with Land Rovers?

I used metric motors for my Saab maintenance. Tricky vehicles to work on and diagnose, not for Dave. Now that my wife and I drive American vehicles, I’m looking to Dave for the same outstanding, honest work. Hope he is in business another FORTY (40) YEARS!!

I had a problem with my car starting and did not have the money to have it towed to Dave. We talked about what my car was doing and he said I'm sure it is the fuel pump do this and if it starts that is what it is and you can get the car to me. So I went home tried it sure enough my car started. Got it down to Dave to get it fixed. He said it would be a couple days because he is busy and that is my place in line. 1 day later calls and said it was done. Awesome early and done with no surprises. That happened several months ago. Now I had a problem with my whole break system. I had no idea what to expect. I brought it down to Dave. Once again I was told it will take several days. Of course I was ok with that. I got a call later that day that it was done and ready to go. He offers his 100% satisfaction guarantee but I don't think he needs to have it. The reason I say this is because I was expecting to have to bring my car back at least once to just check something fix a minor thing. I have not had to go back after for any reason. He does the job right the first time. I have waited to write this just so I can say I have not had to go back. He is a little expensive but I will gladly pay more so I don't have to return for stupid little things. Thanks Dave Great job my car runs great. I highly recommend Metric Motors to anyone who needs a GOOD mechanic.

I have had great service and prudent repairs. Never any surprises and never anything questionable. I started using David at Metric Motors on the recommendation of my friend, who rebuilds antique cars. My friend told me that David's is the only shop that he would consider letting work on his modern cars. That's been close to ten years ago, now, and I've been happy about it ever since!

David was very helpful when I brought in my vehicle for repairs, checks, and services. His repairs are comprehensive and thorough, he bundles a lot of checks and services together that other shops would nickel and dime customers for, and he provides honest feedback on car care. He is also one of the only auto mechanics I've met that has not been condescending or outright dishonest - he is kind and trustworthy. As long as David is still working here, I will continue to bring my car for services.

Dave is an old school mechanic. No bs, no scamming, he'll tell you what he's been up to, what it all cost and why and get everything up n running quick as you could hope for. Been with him for an 04 crossfire and a '90 pathfinder and this man knows his craft

Seemed to be a very honest gentleman. He didn’t pressure me to get the over priced OEM part and worked around the delivery schedule of my cheap Amazon substitute. The labor price was a little high but I felt comfortable paying the extra as he was very knowledgeable, correctly diagnosed my problem (for free I should add), is obviously extremely experienced and my vehicle runs better as expected after the install. It was as well, a quick and painless experience. Because my cars are old I’ll likely keep to trying to keep up with the repairs I can on my own but if I had to choose a shop, I’d choose this one.

Dave is honest. Steve is funny as heck. He'll tell you jokes catered to your level of depravity. They've helped me do ball joints, jeep liberty with a control arm, leaf springs on an xterra, and a frontier. They've cut my fenders out on my truck so I could fit 37s, helped me with wiring, installed axles on my audi all road, and have given me countless tips when I tried to own an STI and other subpar cars. I can't say enough about dave. They are good folks here. They will be good to you and to your car.

We have spent the last 4 months continuously bringing in my car to David to fix and each time resulted in even greater problems. I initially took my car in to get some oil leaks fixed. I paid $1,600 for the repairs when I picked it up, and on the way home my car broke down in the middle of an intersection. David took a look at my car after that occurred and he told us that he forgot to “connect some wires.” We picked up my car after he connected the wires back that should’ve been connected the first time to prevent me from breaking down…and then another issue followed!! All of the coolant leaked completely out and the hose to the coolant melted resulting in a huge hole and the car was not driveable. A photo of the damage is attached. We had to get it towed back to his shop for him to supposedly fix. At this point we knew it was something he was doing to cause all these ongoing problems in my car. After my car was towed back to his shop, David claimed he fixed the issue and I paid $500 for the repairs.. and shortly after leaving his shop the same exact problem occurred and all the coolant leaked out and my car is now not drivable AGAIN!! I got scammed by David and paid over $2,000 for repairs which were never fixed and instead created even more problems!! I paid $2,000 for absolutely nothing to be fixed. I will never ever trust David with my car again and I suggest you never do, unless you want to be scammed and have your car in and out of the shop for 4 months. David is not to be trusted with any car repairs!!

Dave is awesome. I have a '79 MG Midget that's been sitting for a while and he gave it a look over and found that it had leaking wheel cylinders. The part took a while to get here from Britain, but once it came he had it done quickly. He's always willing to go above and beyond for customers. I highly recommend him for any of your unique automotive needs!
