Most of theses reviews with 5 stars are from friends, family, or employees there. Worst customer service. The mechanic forgot to call me with price estimate and when I called he said he forgot and was going to call me back and then never did. When I was there he told me I needed a caliper because it was sticking, but when I brought my car to an actual real mechanic all I needed to do was to change the back tires. I won’t bring my car here again even if it break down in front of the store.

Absolutely amazing customer service! I've gotten my car inspected at another place and they were so abrupt and rude. They didn't properly inspect and failed me on things that weren't wrong so when I got my new car I wanted to find a different shop to get inspected at. I was hesitant but from the moment I walked into Midas, I was greeted and treated perfectly! The mechanics have wonderful dispositions and attitudes. I failed because of my window tint and lug nuts but it was calmly and politely explained to me why, the mechanic even gave ways for me to fix it myself. I didn't feel taken advantage of or like they were trying to squeeze money out of me. They are just absolutely amazing, love the customer service, I will DEFINITELY be a return costumer.

I came to Midas to get an estimate for repair that was already diagnosed by another shop because it involved welding and the potential danger of carbon monoxide poisoning I wanted this work to be done by company that specialized in this type of repair rather my neighborhood gas station mechanic that I trust. When I arrived at Midas I was given a blank sheet of paper to provide my contact information rather than the authorization to repair that would be expected. I recieved a phone call from a mechanic that was very diligent in his explanation of the repair that was needed and the choices I would have to complete them which confirmed my belief that this repair was best done by specialist. Other shop wanted to try to weld split where bracket attached to pipe whereas Midas mechanic said he would cut out that section of pipe and replace. The price was compatible with the price I had recieved from other shop making my decision very easy. I also had an option to replace the catalytic converter which was sold as a unit with pipe that was in need of repair. The mechanic was very sensitive to my concerns and patient with my inability to readily decide which repair I would get done. Because it was too late to get repairs completed the same day I came to pick up my car with plans to drop it back off at my earliest convenience to have repairs made. However when I arrived l was told that there was a $57. diagnostic fee that would not be included in repairs. I was not told about this fee when I dropped my car off. Now I am faced with the delema of being able have repairs made by a mechanic that I believe to be trust worthy (only by phone conversation as I never met him in person) and having to deal with a shop manager that I am positive is not or taking my car some where else and starting over.

I’ve been using Midas for 3years now, I haven’t had an issue with their work. The only time they turned me away is when my horn got stuck, they told me honestly that they couldn’t work on it and recommended a place to me. Same thing with my rims(although no one had used ones available). Harold is my go to always make sure he gets my car even if I have to wait because the first time I had an issue he worked with me to help me understand what was wrong with my car . Haven’t had the other guys work on my car but they’re always friendly to me.

My technician, Harold, is superb, professional with getting the job done, yet personable. I came to Midas in a company car to get an oil change. Unfortunately, they don’t accept the auto integrate system that the company used but the shoo manager was kind enough to refer me to a shop that does. I went back to my car and it wouldn’t start. No big deal, I had a starter kit that I could use. As I was setting up, a gentleman came out and asked if I was ok and knew what I was doing. Long story short, I did know, but my battery was DEAD dead and the man, whose name is Harold, got me right, and wouldn’t accept any money in return, stating that you ‘Never leave a woman stranded.’ I’ve never been to this shop before, but will come here for service going forward - at least in my personal car.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! I went on Friday to get a state inspection so I could register my car in Maryland. I believed his name was Barry, passed my car inspection and said I was good to go. I was in a rush because I had to go to a medical appointment. However I noticed that my steering wheel wasn’t straight when I got in my car but didn’t think nothing of it. Well as the weekend went on I noticed a screeching noise every time I made a left turn and yet again my steering wheel would not turn straight while driving straight or parking. I called Midas on Sunday to report the issue and the older guy at the front told me to bring my car in. So I came on Monday once I got off of work (drove an hour) and they looked at my car and claimed there was nothing they did to damage my car. They said I need an alignment and I must have hit something over the weekend. I assured them this was NOT the case and I never hit anything. I asked Barry why he passed my car for the state certified inspection if I needed an alignment. He says my car was Good Friday when I brought it in but must have been damaged after it left Midas. At this point I was furious because I knew they were trying to scam me and get more money out of me for an alignment that I did not need until leaving there shop. Btw I know I didn’t need an alignment before I went to Midas because my car was just checked out at Firestone about 2 weeks prior. So I immediately left Midas and called Firestone to make an appointment for an alignment. After getting it done at Firestone they told me I should only need an alignment every 6,000 miles and it was impossible for me to have needed one from Friday to Monday. I will be contacted the BBB-Better Business Bureau- And corporate to report this scam. I am a young female and they thought they could take advantage of me, try again, y’all messed with the wrong one.

Recently, moved to Waldorf so decided to book an online oil change reservation. Get there two days later, they don't have anymore appts, in fact closing early for a fundraiser! Say less, won't ever return here. Back to VA, as I should have stayed. Guy at front desk, just as unconcerned. Shout out to Michelle- Fredericksburg Midas, you're the best in customer service. I'm coming back home, don't care about distance. Customer service 1st!!

I had an appointment today 1/26/25 at 1pm . They called at 12:42 pm to cancel my appointment, saying they are backed up and they won’t get to me in time. You’re not new to business, how can you not estimate how many customers you can accommodate per day? Why call the customer at the appointed time. People have a schedule too! This is definitely unprofessional, bad customer service and unacceptable. Definitely will not be using this place again , or will be recommending it to anyone! I’m going to spread the word so people can be aware of this.

I had an excellent experience with Jordan at the Midas on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf. After another location improperly balanced my new tires, Jordan immediately noticed the issue before even putting the vehicle on the machine. He took the time to show me the excessive wheel weights, explained everything clearly, and corrected the problem with care and professionalism. His diligence, honesty, and attention to detail made all the difference. My car now drives smoothly, and I truly appreciate the level of service he provided. Jordan represents the standard of customer care and technical expertise that every service center should strive for. Highly recommend.
