I had an emergency situation and needed to get four tires mounted and balanced on memorial Day weekend. I called four different companies before landing at Midas on fort Eddy road in Concord. The crew there was not only receptive of our situation and got us immediately in, alternatering their schedule for us. They where professional and proficient at a price that would make you smile. We were in a jam. The muffler on my wife's car broke while driving on Friday from Montreal. For color my wife is a nervous driver. 50mph is a maximum speed ,passing is not allowed, the arm rest has multiple lines from stress scratches and driving in the rain is a tentative experience. Suffice to say that a repair of the broken muffler was her priority on Saturday morning or otherwise our four day fall vacation in Vermont was back to Canada. Open car repair shops in the Burlington area on a Saturday are as rare as Loch Ness sightings on Lake Champlain. Google led me to Midas. The experience was a more than pleasant surprise. From the most detailed computerized inspection service where safety transcends doubts about cross selling to the following professional completions:,repaired muffler, alternator belt replacement,steering revitalization,badly needed head light buffing as well as identification of minor oil leak and needed ball joint replacement,their investigation was thorough. The wait time of four hours was a piece of cake The client room is replete with fresh water, free coffee and Tv and a spotless floor. Front desk staff with great software are fully apprised of work in progress on your car and have the analytical skills to match those of the mechanics in the garage. Hunger intervened after several hours of legitimate wait. Literally Midas has everything. Next door is the incomparable institution, Al's French fries and their wonderful playground for children and parents alike, Marco's , a sandwich shop in need of rejuvenation and a block away,also served up a brilliant sub on home made fresh baguette. Bottom line: I found the Midas touch for car repair though safety of mind does not come cheap. For Canadian readers,the 31% premium on the US dollar is offset somewhat by only a 3.5%Vermont sales tax and then there is the good variety of area shopping less the US Border wait and the present high cost of gasoline.

When mid-afternoon today the AAA technician from Spillanes identified a screw as causing the flat tire in our car, he recommended going to the nearby South Burlington Midas, where they might be able to fix it while I wait. And, sure enough, after carefully checking that the position of the screw would allow to simply plug the hole rather than replacing the tire, Joe coordinated the repair and in less than an hour they fixed things for a very decent price, as they predicted. While waiting there and working a little on stuff that I brought with me, I was also able to overhear some of the very friendly and professional exchange between Joe and employees and customers: such a great place - thank you!

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by their service manager, Jeff. Even without an appointment, he welcomed me with a smile, took my info and put me in queue. Thirty minutes later, I learned I had a perforation in my brake line, thankfully covered by recall. Of course, I needed to go to the dealership for that, but it didn’t stop David, their master certified tech from doing a full work-up on my car. Any shop can do that, right? What impressed me the most was his ability to explain what he found in layman’s terms and patiently answer all of my questions. He truly went above and beyond. I also interacted with Joe a couple times. I can tell they’ve got a great culture in their shop! They are all down-to-earth, personable and eager to help! I live 3 towns away with dozens of garages between me and them, but I’ll most certainly be coming back here for all my future car maintenance needs!

Couldn’t be more grateful to these guys. We were passing thru Burlington on a 3000-mile roadtrip when we got a flat tire. I put on the spare but we still needed help to continue. It is an incredibly busy time of the year as winter season is upon us, but they still managed to squeeze us in by having an admin employee work on the the car with the maximum sense of urgency. Really appreciate the service. I’d also like to state that what they did for us that day is something their local competirors refused.

These guys are so awesome, they are extremely friendly and make servicing my car super easy. I got my car fixed here a few months ago and had a stellar experience but today the technicians Eric and Jeff went absolutely above and beyond for me. I noticed a massive nail in my tire and called immediately. Since the tires on my car were purchased and installed at Midas, they were under warranty and the repair was completely free. Eric and Jeff literally moved mountains to get me in within 30 mins of my initial phone call and went to get me a new tire from a warehouse very quickly. Cant recommend this location enough. Midas 4 lyfe!!!

I can't help feeling like I got screwed. I probably didn't. I needed an inspection on a 10 year old car that has lived in extreme weather conditions. I have no doubt the car needed some work, but that inspection cost me almost $1500 and they were trying to get more out of me. It just kept piling up. It also seemed they were checking for more things than the state inspection required. I don't know. I just can't help feeling that I got taken advantage of. I know I won't be going back. And that's with the lifetime warranty they gave me on brake pads. I might have a lifetime warranty on those but I'm sure it would cost me $1,000 to get them replaced. If you need an inspection I would try one of the oil change places that doesn't have a mechanic shop with it. That's what I've done the last 4 years I've lived here and I've never had a problem.

This place is incredible. Such a life saver. We had an issue with our gas cap and couldn’t open the gas door or get the gas pump into fuel our car. We traveled in from far away and didn’t know the area. We were on our way to go skiing. We came into this location and explained the issue. David and their team were incredibly helpful and jumped on it right away. They even offered our kids some hot chocolate while we waited. Great service. Very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

I was on a road trip this past weekend and had a car issue while on the highway so I made an emergency stop at Midas to see if I could get some help. Joe greeted me at the front and immediately was able to take down my information and get someone to take a look at my car. I have to mention that I've been to many auto shops before and this place is by far the nicest looking shop I've ever been to. Not only was the store inviting but I also received great service from Joe. He gave me honest car advice and went to as far as drafting up a quote for me on work that I need done. The crew was able to get my car issue fixed and I was on my way. My visit was very unexpected but I am really glad I was able to get help from everyone at this location! Thanks guys

I highly recommend Midas South Burlington. I brought in my Toyota for its inspection -- they did the work quickly/transparently, priced fairly, and answered my questions with no judgement. Midas did a full report on the vehicle, highlighting what repairs would be needed on the horizon.
