Colin, Kevin and their team were great. Kevin called me within minutes of receiving my email requesting an appointment to have my truck brakes replaced. He was able to schedule me the same day and they stayed past closing hours until they got the job completed. Came into the shop for an oil change. Colin and J.C got me in right away for my appointment. I asked if they could check my tires since I thought I had a slow leak. Ended up having a nail in the tire which was not repairable. They told me my options and was able to get approved for a six month interest free Midas credit card. They had the tech replace the tires and I was on my way. Thanks guys!! I highly recommend this shop.

I was leaving Rockford heading to Chicago with my newborn when—boom—my heat stopped working. I had already tried three other shops and they were all closing, so I was feeling really stressed. I happened to pass a Midas and decided to stop in. They diagnosed and fixed the issue in about 20 minutes—it was just a fuse. They were honest, kind, and reassuring. I was terrified I was going to be stuck paying thousands, but that wasn’t the case at all. Jay C and Walter took great care of me and had everything handled before my baby even woke up or he probably didn’t even know he had to be taken out the car. I’m beyond grateful. Highly recommend this location. They also was playing shrek in the waiting area. Extra bonus.

I'm giving them two stars for availability and there was nothing inherently wrong with the work they did, but I am very frustrated with the communication and what now seems like manipulation on their part. We were in a pinch to get an oil change before my wife was driving out of town, and my son had come down with an illness, so we had a tight window where I could leave work and take her car for the oil change (while she had to stay home with our son). We picked Midas because they had open availability and pretty short notice (which is appreciated), and my wife made the "appointment" online before I went in, as well as sent me the $29.99 coupon for the synthetic blend oil change advertised on the website. When I got there, they advised me that my wife had already picked out a service online while making the appointment, and so I went with it (they applied a different coupon, and I thought maybe she just made a quick mistake with the coupon she had sent as it had different offers on it), and my bill was for around $60. My wife later looked at the receipt and asked what the heck I had added on. When I told her that the employees had told me the full synthetic oil change is what SHE had booked online, she was livid, saying that was absolutely not the truth. I am well aware that these types of places are trying to get as much money out of a service interaction as they can, but that is essentially flat out lying. I went back on the website to see if she could have accidentally left an appointment set to a full-synthetic option, and couldn't even see where there is an option to pick a type at all. Overall, I won't be going back, since it certainly feels like I was purposefully misled.
