Incredibly disappointed and angry at how my daughter was treated today, 8/19/2025, when she went into the Midas located at 431 16th Street for an oil change. She had a coupon for a $34.99 Synthetic Blend oil change. She was told that her car was "due" for a full synthetic oil change AND an additive(s) which would bring the price to over $180. What? The manufacture does not call for any additives as part of regular maintenance. The car wasn't due for anything but a plain oil change. The service rep was trying to pressure my daughter to buy something she didn't need and didn't ask for, taking advantage of a young female who doesn't know better. Typical bait and switch tactics. She called me and I told her to leave immediately. What kind of horrible company does that? Midas apparently. We will never consider Midas again for any automotive service. We will be contacting the CA Bureau of Automotive Repair as well.

Moe helped me get my oil change when they had no appointments. He got me in and out in less than an hour. Great service i will be back. He is Hilarious…and real funny! The first customer he talked to he was joking and laughing and being himself with his customers. She leaves than he starts cracking on me! Moe you a funny cat. Either you’re gonna like him or hate him! But damn he made the visit much better. I hate sitting in the nasty dirty gross lobby in an automotive place. The bathrooms are usually gross. Midas was NOT it was decent. It had toilet paper and was pretty well kept.

I brought my Crosstrek in because of a nail in my tire. I was told it would be ready by 2 PM, but I didn’t get my car back until after 5 PM—which completely threw off my day. I had an event at 6 and errands to run beforehand. On top of the delay, they discovered a couple of other things that needed fixing and charged me nearly $200 to replace the engine and cabin air filters—parts that cost around $20 each online. When I later asked why it was so expensive, I received a vague response about “quality” and “professional installation,” even though replacing air filters is something anyone can do in under a minute. I left feeling overcharged and patronized. It’s one thing to pay a premium for service, but it’s another to be treated as if you are an idiot. When I complained, they offered me a $50 coupon for my “next visit” to shush me! Dude why would i go back to you after such disrespectful treatment?!

Unsafe Service & Unprofessional Conduct — Midas 16th Street Sacramento Review: On April 21, 2025, I brought my 2017 Ford Fusion to the Midas on 16th Street, Sacramento for an oil change. My brakes had recently been replaced under warranty at Future Ford of Sacramento, and were working perfectly. After the oil change, the manager, Moe Zahriya, told me I had no brake fluid, a leaking brake line, and almost no brakes left. He kept my car for over a week and sent personal text messages unrelated to the service, which I found unprofessional and inappropriate. Based on his claims, I paid over $860 for brake repairs — yet soon after, I had the same brake issues again. I’m now paying even more at another shop to fix what Midas claimed was repaired. Other certified mechanics have confirmed that Midas’s diagnosis was not accurate. I’ve reported this to Midas Corporate and urge others to get a second opinion before authorizing costly repairs at this location.

I'm new to the area and was looking for a reasonably priced place to get my oil changed. The customer service was so good here that they convinced me to get the midas credit card! They weren't pushy at all but did offer it up. Since I'm on college any little bit of financial support helps which means if I can put repairs on a card and pay later I'm gonna do it. I'll Def be back!

Dude I love driving by this place because they have the funniest signs .😂😂 The person making these up is a marketing genius, give him a raise . My car check light engine turned on today and this is the place was the first place i thought of bringing my car too because they’re memorable. They are very demure , very mindful . Had a great experience here! Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Thought I might have had a flat tire again (because I had had one just a month ago), but they put me at ease and assured me it was just low pressure this time. They did a thorough check and filled them up at no cost! I especially appreciate that they helped me immediately, even though they were clearly very busy. Would highly recommend! There was a scratch I discovered on my screen that wasn't there when I dropped it off, but Moe clarified that he was the one who moved it around, and that he didn't recall scratching it, however, I did see the younger employees drive my car in and out of the shop, and I did notice that my music was played. I can see what music is being played on my app., so... Anyway, that's the only annoying thing that came out of that experience. It's a tiny scratch, but I hate that it exists. :-(

Great experience, Moe at midas is the best! I just moved to the area and came here because my coworker recommended + they had a good coupon for an oil change & etc. I had an appointment later in the day and the oil plug was over tightened so it took longer than expected. He stayed like an hour after they closed to go get a part for my car and fix it for me. he was worried about it leaking after the oil change and said he would check it again the next day anytime for free. When i came back the next day it was leaking and he fixed that without an appointment and gave me a discount! really nice and really helpful and really fast :)

Moe is his name and he has got to be THE MOST personable, full of compassion, down to earth human I have ever had the pleasure of working with at a business! For reasons I won’t be sharing here, I was incredibly stressed out (partially related to the car, but mostly not) when I arrived and just his calm, yet uplifting energy set my soul at ease. But then he chatted with me while he checked me in and that’s where the magic was 🙏 I am going home in a paid ride that he ordered for me, feeling better then I have in a week! Beware getting an estimate over the phone, they will give you a bait number, then when you arrive they will try to get you hooked with an inspection fee to be applied toward the higher than bait estimate cost. Luckily I saw this coming when the manager claimed he couldn’t even quote worst case without paying the inspection fee (as if my 2013 Lexus was this black box of factory brake options that he couldn’t figure out without charging me first)

So appreciative of Mo! I have had work done at this location before and really appreciate how kind and considerate he was. He took the time to show me some of the signs of an issue, explained it thoroughly, and was very kind about price concerns. Most recently, though, I dropped my car off for an oil change. I couldn't find my paperwork but knew it had been a while since my last one. Mo called me after drop off to tell me I didn't need an oil change yet! Pretty sure the dealership would have been happy to take my money, regardless of whether it was necessary or not. Happily recommend this Midas location!
