Came in for an alignment, they got the job done quickly. They also noticed one of my wheels came loose and offered to torque all 4 free of charge. I appreciate the service. Unfortunately, the wheel that came loose that was torqued back on ended up having two wheel studs stripped from overtightening, causing me to have to shell out another $180 for a mobile mechanic to come in and replace the two studs and lugs. I only found this out after trying to get TPMS sensors replaced at another shop.

I have been bringing my vehicles here for service for 10+ years; i have witnessed the steady expansion of services, and their growth. I have always been treated with respect. The Owner Kevin, hosts Girl in The Garage on Hallmark, and he nor his Technicians take advantage of their female clients; they will give you the list of items which should be addressed, and give you a recommended or approximate time line of priorities ... so you can see what you can afford at the time without damaging the next ticket item. They also have loaner vehicles, should you need one. I will always highly recommend Mission Viejo Transmission.

I went there after my daughter curbed her car and blew out 2 right tires. I knew the car needed an alignment at least, so I took it there because I had a Groupon. After inspecting the car they told me it needed both sides lower control arms, front struts, outer tie rod ends front sway bar links. There quote was $3000.00. I was immediately suspect. Why would I need left side repairs when the impact was on the right side. I pulled it out. I took it to a shop I had been using for years. They replace the right lower control arm. Total was $300 including another alignment. Also, I has them do a synthetic oil change since I was there. They quoted $89.99. Just out of curiosity I called the dealer. They quoted me the same price. If you're going to be as expensive as the dealer why would I take my car there? At least I have a better chance that the dealer will be honest. If you're thinking about taking your car here think again. Inflated prices and dishonest.

This is a great team of mechanics. All their work has been reliable. They've helped me out in a pinch an hour before closing on the day before Thanksgiving to get me back on the road quickly. Logan, the general manager, always gives me great advice and service at a fair price. He'll even tell me if a service is unnecessary to save me money. Now that's honesty! The owner Kevin has personally helped me find a reliable car. I like this shop and am a long-term customer.

I was very impressed by their immediate action. I drive a Ram Promaster 2500 as my work vehicle (15ft long and 9ft tall). On a Friday morning, I pulled on to the road to start my day of work. Unfortunately, my vehicle was struggling to pick up speed beyond 40mph. I was aware of frequent puddles below my engine, but I had ignored it as long as I could... a big mistake on my part. When I called into Mission Viejo Transmission, they were willing to receive me immediately. Most placing can't work on my vehicle because of its size and excessive weight. I informed them of my issues and also communicated that I work 6 days a week and need it repaired as soon as possible, so that I don't disappoint my customers. Kevin and his crew didn't hesitate. They located two leaks, in my transmission and my coolant. They also did a full inspection of the vehicle, providing an oil change and replacing my back brakes, which I was aware were getting very thin. In order to have everything repaired and replaced by Monday morning before I started my day of work, Kevin put 4 mechanics on my vehicle over the weekend. I can't thank them enough for understanding the urgency of my situation and providing top notch customer service. Highly recommend if you need a professional crew of mechanics and expect high quality customer service.

I had a fantastic experience at Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair with my recent car repair. I brought my car in for a transmission rebuilding a few weeks ago. Turns out I needed a new transmission as my current one was un-rebuild able. Kevin (the owner) and the team did a fast and wonderful job getting me back on the road for a more fair price than the Nissan dealership. A couple weeks later I needed brake repair in the front. The mechanic even took the time to show me the worn-out parts and explained why they needed to be replaced. The staff was incredibly friendly, explained the process in detail, and gave me a fair estimate upfront. My brakes now work perfectly, and the car runs smoother than ever. They finished the job quickly, and the final cost was exactly what they quoted. I highly recommend Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair for anyone needing reliable car repairs. They’re not AllState but you’re in good hands.

DO NOT GO HERE! We just went for a pre-purchase inspection and they gave a list of over $3,000 of work that supposedly needed to be done. The car had just been inspected by another mechanic who found no work needed (previous parents who were looking for a car also had an inspection). I could not believe they would pull something like this on two women who were just trying to verify that the car was in good shape. Lesson learned - I will make sure no one I know takes their car to this "mechanic"!!!

Trustworthy auto shop! I’ve been coming here for about 15 years for various services. The owner Kevin and all of his employees are kind, genuine and extremely hard working mechanics that you can actually trust! In a world where people are always try to scam you into buying something you don’t need, it’s refreshing to know there’s mechanics out there who won’t nickel and dime you or try and push services on you that aren’t necessary. Kevin and his team are so knowledgeable with cars of all makes and models, they provide friendly customer service and reasonable pricing. Over the years, the business has expanded from the tiny little office to two large buildings, yet the quality of service has not changed. Highly recommend this auto shop!

I cannot in good faith recommend Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair. Approximately one year ago they installed an aftermarket clutch on my 2022 Jeep Wrangler, and also helped me get reimbursed by Jeep for the installation. Unfortunately one year later I started to experience significant shifting issues, including lockout from 1st and reverse, that forced me to drop the transmission during a road trip. A 4x4 shop confirmed that the wrong type of grease had been used during the clutch and flywheel installation. The correct grease was included in the original kit I provided, but not used. As a result of this installation error, the dust produced when the clutch wore down began to bind up with the incorrect grease and cause my shifting issues. I have another friend who experienced the same issues after having the same clutch installed at Mission Viejo. She too had to have her transmission dropped and it was confirmed that the incorrect grease was also used when installing her clutch. Given the recurring nature of this mistake and the cost and inconvenience it caused, I cannot recommend this shop for any kind of transmission work.

Paid about 5,000$ for a transmission with a 1 year warranty. 6 months in and my transmission goes out again. I tow it in thinking it will be ok cause of the warranty. They claim it’s fuse box when the transmission clearly is not working. Then they charge me almost 2,000$ to fix the transmission/ fuse box. I drive a tow truck and would never recommend this shop to anyone. They took me for 7,000$. Stay away from this place.

I can’t recommend this place enough! I brought my car in with a weird noise and expected a huge bill, but they were super honest—turns out it was a minor issue and they fixed it the same day. Kyle took the time to explain what was going on in plain English, without any pressure or upselling. Pricing was totally fair, and they even showed me a breakdown before doing any work. The shop was clean, organized, and you could tell they take pride in what they do. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can really trust, but I’ll definitely be coming back here and sending friends their way.

We were visiting relatives in Mission Viejo and had a Groupon offer for transmission oil and filter change. It was a good deal compared to Honda of the Desert. Half price. So we call and make an appointment and informed them we have a Plugin Hybrid EV. Not a problem. We arrived and about an hour later we were told, "oops they didn't have the proper equipment.". Wasted an afternoon and we had to drive back to the Desert in rush hour traffic. Thankfully, Groupon refunded the money immediately. The people were pleasant but they demonstrate the ineptness too often found in these locals. Customer service should be a matter of pride.

Very lovely people I always go with my son Enzo to service our alfa romeo and the van. My wife has taken them both mini coopers and we never had an issue with any of their work, the opposite, they're very attentive and the price is veeery fair compared with others. I'll keep doing business with them. We also took a car for inspection and they pointed out some things, even in my last oil change they pointed out some things that needed to take care of. All in all they're very attentive and love their attitude, availability and pricing. Always there for me and honest, so I'll keep taking my fleet to them.

I specifically requested that my Acura be serviced with OEM Honda/Acura transmission fluid (DW-1). The owner’s son confirmed this would be done and stated that if the fluid was not in stock, they would obtain it. However, when I picked up my vehicle, I was shown that a bulk Chevron transmission fluid was used instead, rather than the correct OEM fluid. Because Honda transmissions are not tolerant of “equivalent” fluids, I now have to pay another shop to gradually remove this fluid over approximately 3,000 miles through two additional drain-and-fill services in order to restore the correct DW-1 fluid. This creates an unnecessary and avoidable expense. In addition, despite the service being advertised as including a transmission diagnostic, I was not provided with any documentation or report regarding the condition of my transmission. No diagnostic results, findings, or confirmations were given. Instead, I was presented with recommendations for three additional services. One of those services had already been completed earlier this year, and another component was still new, making the upsell inappropriate and irrelevant. As a result, this Groupon service did not provide any real savings. Rather than saving money, it has created additional costs and corrective work that will exceed the original price of the service.

Mission Viejo transmission has been servicing our cars for 15 years. They do a great job of keeping my cars running and safe. While no one likes paying for maintenance repairs, I feel that their services are fairly priced. Most importantly I trust them. I once brought my car in because my door was not functioning right. I thought I was going to have to replace the whole door. Upon inspection they realized I had accidently hit something that had affected how the door was closing. They showed me how to fix the problem if it occurred again. I was so relieved I didn't need a new door I sked them if I could pay them for their time and they absolutely refused. They told me It was so pleasure to help me and that They would love to see me back as a continued customer when I need to service my car. That's all they would want. I was so impressed with their honesty.
