Took JD to Moats, not running. So called “Repaired”. He Changed the oil for us. Brought it home, Moats never/forgot to put new oil in, the motor locked up immediately. Took it back. He was suppose to put a new motor in it. He didn’t. Put a used motor. Brought it home. Still won’t run. Burns oil when you try to start it. He won’t stand behind his work. Will never do business with him again. Will never recommend his services. Calling BBB

I brought a Husqvarna walk behind mower for oil change and belt,pulley replacement. I pick it up and the only thing that they did was change the oil. I know because I brought in all the parts and the oil and got back a partial bottle. The pulleys were not changed and the belt still looked worn-out. 👎Plus they didn't even help me to put it in my trunk.

They are a rip off bought a mower from them and it broke down within a week. Took it back to get repaired, claimed he fixed it week later broke down again leaking oil. Took it to another mechanic they said that they have multiple mowers from this business that theyre working on and they are non repairable. went to moates and they refuse to rectify the situation will not fix the mower or refund our money. will never be back to this place again and i highley recommend that no-one comes here. Will be contacting BBB

I really hate this because we have used Mr. Moates for years and my wife has known them for 20+ years. We took a two year old zero turn mower to him for blades and annual service, as we do every year. Long story short, either Mr. Moates and his staff made a mistake and didn't complete the work he charged me for, or he is a crook. I wanted to believe that the guy that performed the work made a mistake, but after I caught Mr. Moates in several lies, he became aggressive and started to blame me for the situation. DO NOT TAKE YOUR MOWER TO HIM!! As the owner of a local business, I try to support locally owned businesses, unfortunately many of them continue to prove why this country has lost it's way...

I have always brought my lawn equipment and generator here for repair and service but ever since a guy by the name of Charles Mitchell started working there I will never bring my equipment back he sold me two Honda mini bikes in need of some repair so I gave him $500 cash money and I never received delivery of the items that I purchased from Charles Mitchell. It is very unfortunate that Charles Mitchell used this reputable business as a platform to scam one of their good customers out of $500.00 cash money. After contacting my attorney I have been advised to seek restitution from the business itself as well as Charles Michell, I will never recommend or do business at Moates ever again because of this.

Worst place I have ever been to. Fixed a weed eater got had same problem that they worked on. Brought it back. Was told that's all they. Could do. When asked about the money back that there sign said the owner came around the counter and and told me. To get the hell out of here or he would call the police. His wife then came around the counter and made him back off. Would never go back there ever.
