What more can I say about this shop? The manager was very helpful and open about services and cost. Was very thorough and even caught a few things the last shop missed. He was very accommodating and even realized that the fixing was going to be a while, so he gave a pass to spend the time at a local swap meet. He knew I was not from LV, so he even called me to inform that if the plan was to stay another day or not as certain parts were not readily available. But he pulled through and found what he needed to get me home that night. I definitely recommend this shop. Oh, and he's even open on Sundays!

Great service when I was in a bind. Vehicle was acting up on way to work. Found Monaghan's in map search. Called and they got me in right away. It was a simple fix, done quickly, but they were also thorough in checking every other option, as well. I can see why they are busy. Highly recommended!

While visiting Las Vegas I drove quite a ways to get to this shop based on the positive reviews. As a disabled woman driving a 3/4 ton diesel to unknown towns and looking for honest car repair, I was extremely happy I found this shop. They were very clear and honest about what services I actually needed and what services I could defer and pricing, as well as thoughtful about my disability needs. Would 100% come back to this shop.

Great service, people are friendly, and would recommend to others. Had some minor problems with my vehicle, and everything was quick and simple, they took care of everything and explained everything thoroughly!

The smoothest experience I have had with any mechanic. Our technicians James and Chad were professional and immensely helpful. In an emergency they were able to diagnose our vehicle, and do everything in their power to get us back on the road as soon as possible. Not only did they facilitate our mechanical needs, but we're also more than hospitable. I can't recommend them enough.

I am a disabled senior living on a really tight budget and tried a couple of mechanics to get my A/C fixed. I put my project on Yelp and prayed not to get taken advantage again. The first response I got was from Matt at Monaghan's telling me to bring it by and he would take a look at it and see what was going on with it. Well let's just say it is working great and they warranty their work! Also he kept me updated the whole way and made me a great price. Also customers coming in to pay their bill and he treated them like he had known them for years. I will bring back my car anytime it needs a mechanic to Monaghan's.

Knowledgeable mechanics. They were able to repair both of my vehicles one gas and one diesel. Diagnostic was done within a few hours of dropping off. Matt called and went over the needed repairs and helped with the E-Signature system so I didn’t have to drive back to BBB shop to sign which really streamlined the whole process. James and we Chad each did the repairs and gave me detailed status updates daily which helped me plan out my week. Overall impressed with the service, repair, and cost. Will be recommending to all of my friends and family and setting up a fleet account for my company!!

I have made two separate visits to their shop, for different repairs I needed to have done on my dodge ram pick up. Matt was extremely friendly and helpful. Both times he got me into the shop the very next day and out the following, just as promised. I am not only extremely pleased with the customer service, but also the repairs that were done, parts used, and the reasonable cost for what I had done. I highly recommend this shop. They are one of the few, if not, the only shop that is open seven days a week. That is a huge plus for many people. I know how difficult it is to find a capable and honest mechanic. I think that Matt and his team at Monaghan’s are just that!

Don't believe the hype! On 7/30/24 I took my Kia here for a couple of lights and to repair or replace the windshield washer reservoir. Was told the reservoir needed to be replaced and the part would need to be ordered from the dealership. Well, the dealership "sent the wrong part". They fixed the lights and I brought my Kia back today (8/8/24) to finish the repair. When I came to pick up the vehicle I was told the part was $67.33 more than they had expected. Well I paid last week in advance and no one called to say there was any change in the price. I was told "well it was only $67 more... I mean if it was like $500 more I could see we should have called you". Yeah that's not how you do business and I will NOT be returning to this shop ever again!

We moved to Vegas from Texas in June 2024. Our car broke down on the road with over heating problem. The temperature was 110F in Vegas. We had AAA tow the car to Monaghan. Jose of Monaghan was very helpful and took our car right in. He is very professional. He replaced the radiator bypass hoses and made sure the engine was not damaged. The whole process took about 2 hours. The price was very reasonable. He did an excellent job, and my Mazda has been running well since. Thank you, Jose. I highly recommend Monaghan for your auto repair in Vegas. Steve

Honestly I don't believe this shop even deserves one star, the only reason they are getting A star is because the owner refunded the cost of the valve body we paid for in advance. Once they received the monies one of the employees stated the part was ordered from the dealership and that it would take a week. A week went by and the employee said the dealership sent the wrong part and that the correct part had been ordered. Mind you WE had to call and find out, they did not call us. So the part came in, then the owner told us that part of the transmission needed to be replaced and they were working on it. Two weeks went by and no call for an update, so WE call and they tell us the whole transmission needs to be replaced. Ok, we give them the go ahead and replace the transmission. Mind you, we brought the truck in May 28th. They had our truck for a month. I call the owner again for an update and he said that he was sent a bad transmission, that the truck only goes backwards not forward, then he said they couldn't get the bolts off, then they got the bolts off but had to order them. The owner gave us so many stories, lies, back and forth. He had our truck for almost 3 months. I had been so patient with him until the end. We went and picked up the truck, Un repaired, in worse condition than when we brought it in. It sounds like the muffler is about to fall out, theres an exhaust leak now. And on top of it, they stole the GPS and a HUSKY bag with tools in it, they rummaged through the glove box and left all their garbage in the bed of the truck.

I had an issue where the check engine light came on while traveling through Vegas with my family. The mechanics at Monaghan's recommended a full replacement of the spark plugs and coils for a misfire on cylinder 2. We got the coils and spark plugs replaced and at the end the check engine light was still on for a misfire on cylinder 2. Paraphrasing the conversation: (Note that the owner of Monaghan's did not exactly state that the car was safe to drive but gave a strong impression that it was safe to drive) Owner of Monaghan's: I wish I was able to tell you that everything had been cleared up but we're still seeing a misfire code on cylinder 2 after changing the spark plugs and the coils. We've been driving it a while but it hasn't gone away. It may clear up on it's own or it may be some damage on the cylinder or the engine. Me: Is it safe to drive to back to Utah? Owner of Monaghan's: Well if there's damage on the engine, you'll won't do any more damage by driving it back. You'll have to get it looked at by your mechanic to make the check engine light go away entirely. Have your mechanic give me a call so we aren't doing double work. Me: So it's safe to drive back and the car won't give out on me on the way back? Owner of Monaghan's: Well, it will get you back no matter what. It might be a little less fuel efficient but again you won't damage the engine any more than it already is. Based on the above conversation, I left with the impression that it was safe to drive and started back home. The engine overheated and stalled on us while heading back on the highway at 80 mph. Thankfully, we weren't in an accident and were able to pull over to the side of the road. I called the owner shortly afterwards and he basically stated, "I'm glad you're safe and not in an accident. Have your mechanic give me a call. There's nothing that I can do." He didn't ask under what circumstances the engine had stalled or give any suggestions on what the issue might be. He didn't offer any advice for the overheated engine (several of our mechanic friends suggested blowing the hot air on full to help cool the engine). So for $982.54, I got my coils and spark plugs replaced, I was told to send my car to another mechanic to solve the problem that we took it in for originally and I was left with a stalled car on the side of the highway hundreds of miles from home after narrowly avoiding an accident. I left an initial negative review that I temporarily took down to figure out what was the real cause of the stalled engine on the side of the road. At that time, he decided to respond with another phone call complaining about how hard it was to start and grow his business and did not give the impression that he cared about me or my family and denied ever stating that the car was safe to drive. In fact, this time around he said that he only stated that it was safe to drive to another mechanic. If he believed the issue to be that bad, he should have said something about taking it to another autoshop in Vegas to actually solve the problem and warned us not to drive home. The fact of the matter is that we took the car to Monaghan's to get the check engine light concern taken care of or at least to a safe enough state to drive back home. I currently have an appointment with another mechanic scheduled for August 12th and will update this post with more information once I know what the actual failure cause was.

I deeply regret having trusted Monaghan Auto Repair with my vehicle. My experience with this workshop was frustrating, costly, and ultimately dishonest. The story begins the Wednesday before Thanksgiving when my F250 6.0 diesel truck broke down in the Luxor Hotel parking garage. After trying unsuccessfully to get it running, I spent two days at the hotel before calling Monaghan Auto Repair on Friday. The owner seemed incredibly helpful over the phone and quickly diagnosed the issue after my truck was towed to their shop. They replaced the fuel pressure sensor, and I left feeling confident the problem was resolved. Unfortunately, just two days later, my truck broke down again. This time, it was the Fuel Injection Control Module. I returned to Monaghan, and they repaired it promptly, bringing my total expenses with them to around $2,000. The real nightmare began later that same evening when my truck broke down yet again. After waiting eight hours for a tow truck, it was taken to a different repair shop. Upon inspection, I discovered that the wiring for the new Fuel Injection Control Module had been routed incorrectly by Monaghan. The wires overheated and burned out due to their negligence. Monaghan initially admitted to the mistake, and Jose even told me over the phone that the incorrect installation was their fault. They assured me they would cover the costs, which included $600 for the tow truck and $670 for the wiring repair. I submitted all receipts to Monaghan’s insurance, but my claim was rejected because the issue was classified as a wiring problem rather than a defect in the Fuel Injection Control Module itself. After this, Monaghan went silent. They stopped responding to my calls, text messages, and emails. Despite giving them ample time to address the situation, I’ve received no resolution or reimbursement. If you value honesty and professionalism, I strongly recommend avoiding Monaghan Auto Repair. Their initial friendliness masks a lack of accountability and poor workmanship that has cost me thousands of dollars and endless frustration. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle elsewhere.

Called because car wouldn’t pass smog. Took them less than an hour to figure out I needed O2 sensors and purge valve replaced. Scheduled to come back the next week and took less than 3 hours even with people ahead of me. They called and told me they can pass for smog so saved me an additional trip. Prices were reasonable and everyone I dealt with professional. Will recommend this shop for quick efficient service and continue to come here.

As a local in Las Vegas with many vehicles over the years I have been to so many mechanic businesses and home mechanics. I am so thankful to have found Monaghan’s auto. I had an auto emergency and they were the only shop that answered the phone on a Saturday morning and were open on Sunday!! Everyone was so friendly and understood my situation. They fixed my car promptly and efficiently, I needed both control arms replaced, my AC fixed (it’s so hot in Las Vegas) and an oil changed. They did the work and had my car ready to go the next morning! My AC is super cold my car is not making the same loud noise and drives so smoothly now. When I called the phone was answered and all of my questions and concerns heard. It’s so hard when your car doesn’t work and you have emergencies popping up left and right. I have a young daughter that I drive around so my car being in tip top shape is so important. I truly appreciate the care in which they handled me and my vehicle. Thank you Monaghan Auto for servicing my vehicle.

My son’s Subaru died in the desert and Monaghan's repaired the engine, and my son drove home 300 miles today and everything worked without a hitch. It’s nice to know that we have a mechanic in Vegas for emergencies. Oh, and we just got back from driving it a week in Yosemite, thanks, Matt

Thank you to all the good folks at Monaghan’s for keeping my 2007 Chevy Silverado going strong. Can’t wait to get to a half a million miles! I have no doubt that with their help I will get there. Highly recommend them for great service at a fair price every time. I’ll be back.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! They failed to give me the correct diagnostic for a change of AC system which left my car in their hands for a week but was still unfixed when I picked it up. Their team had a lack of understanding what was wrong with my car which left me worried. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. As the days passed by I always was failed with communication of what was going on, just for me to find out that before their closing time that my car was not working & something additional was not working. I’m left with no AC fixed but still had to pay for the labor & parts & on top of everything they broke my dashboard but didn’t bother to tell me, it was a very upsetting experience I would never come back here again.

If I could award more than 5 stars, I would. Scott and his crew took such good care of our vehicle and of us! Our Ford E450 6.0L diesel school bus conversion RV was idling rough and shaking, and Scott squeezed us in for a same-day diagnostic, revealing that we needed new fuel injectors. He patiently explained what he needed to do and even showed us on an engine in the shop and answered all of our questions. The entire crew was friendly, hardworking, knowledgeable, ethical, and went FAR above and beyond to get us back in our bus and on the road as soon as possible. Thank you guys so much for keeping the #buslife dream alive!

I told them what was wrong with my car, but they dismissed me and came up with a different diagnosis that was not possible to be the issue. Their reasoning did not make sense and couldn't explain the symptoms! I wound up paying hundreds of dollars for absolutely no reason. The Next mechanic I went to diagnosed the issue in a few minutes and fixed it the correct way! Furthermore, when I got my car back, I found several loose hoses and the air intake wasn't fully seated! I'm glad I checked because it could have led to a big problem. There are many mechanics in Las Vegas, pick a different one, it's not worth it!
