I’m new to the Fontana area and needed a shop ASAP because my truck didn’t pass the smog test. I went to Monroy’s because of the reviews it had. I went in and Luis at the front desk is so amazingly nice, answered all the questions I had. I had to leave my truck overnight and Jose who did the work on it called me the next morning gave me my total for the work it was going to need, he never made me feel pressured to anything and was very honest. Vibes are never wrong. So I went ahead and got the job done there. You guys have made me a permanent customer!! Thank you guys! Your customer service and work is amazing!

I had an a/c compressor installed on my son’s car a couple of years ago and now it’s not working. Just hot air is coming out of the air vents. I think they installed a used one instead of a new one. Now I have to look for a different mechanic to install a new one. Don’t go there people. They charge a lot and do sloppy work.

Saved me $500 on a used car! I needed a car I was buying pre-inspected. Monroys had a fair price to do it and caught a bad shock (which the dealership then replaced at their own cost). Never would have know that without Monroy's! I asked him to show me which shock, brought me right back put the car back up on the lift and showed it to me, no questions asked. If they hadn't done this I'd have bought the car with the leaking shock. I wish I lived near by and could give them more business with our older Toyota but, I can definitely recommend! They were timely, efficient and super courteous! My new/used car runs smooth as hell! (When I initially called they were even forthright and disclosed they used to regularly do business with the dealership years back, didn't have to tell me that but did and I appreciate it).

I had a terrible experience here. I waited 4 hours for a diagnostic on my AC and heater, only to be charged $150 for an incorrect diagnosis.He said the problem was a air compressor, in reality I had no air at all.They claimed a new AC compressor ($1,400) would fix both the AC and the heat, which makes no sense. When I questioned how an AC part affects the heater, the mechanic gave vague excuses. It felt like they just ran a 5-minute computer scan and tried to upsell me on an expensive, unrelated repair. Save your time and money.

My car’s transmission suddenly failed at a stoplight down the street from Monroy’s while on a road trip. I called the shop, and Silverio drove down immediately to pick up my car. He and his team confirmed that I would need a complete transmission replacement, which they did for $2600 including labor. Definitely a punch to the wallet, but a very fortunate price for a transmission replacement. Many, many thanks to Joseluis and Silverio for helping me in my distress. The only thing I’d advise is that their point-of-sale charges 4% on credit instead of 3.5%.

I had a bad experience here. First off they don't have room to park your car securely in the parking lot so they will park your car on the street which I'm not ok with because there's always a chance somebody can hit your car. My ac wasn't blowing cold and was overheating. So I paid $150 for a diagnostic and they replaced my AC relay without telling me which they should of called me first (bad communication). When I got there the head guy there Louise had an attitude just because I wanted to look at the part that I'm paying for. When I spend my hard earned money on repairs I shouldn't get attitude because I want to see the part im paying for. Only reason I'm not leaving a one star is because my AC and over heating issue was fixed but I won't be returning because they park cars on the street and because of the bad attitude

DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM THIS MAN! HE IS DISHONEST AND DOES NOT LIVE UP TO HIS WORD! My family went to Monroy's for over 15 years and had no problems with their service until he sold us a car. He said that he had a 2009 Subaru Outback that was not working but he was going to get a brand new engine for it and would fix it all up, make it right, and sell us a great car for $7000.00. This thing was never working from the day I got it from him. It kept on breaking down in the middle of the road in the mountains after only a few days of using the vehicle. I say only a few days because I barely had the car in my possession a few days since it was always back at his shop being fixed for serious issues. I took it up to work and it over heated and would not start. I had to wait a few hours before I could drive it again and slowly got it home and then to his repair shop. He said that he fixed it, (It was never actually fixed) but that he would not work on it again without me paying for the bill. I told him he sold us a hooptie and would never go back to his shop again. We only had it for 4 month! Most of that time it was in the shop for weeks at a time. We only have driven the car for 2000 miles over the span of a year because of all the smog it spews out and fear that it will not start again. Well, today the car did the same thing to my wife as she was driving down to Ontario Mills where it stalled in the middle of the road. She was terrified. I had to drive down to give her my car and try to take the car back to my house not knowing what was going on with it. I couldn't make it back to my house without it oveheating and stalling out on the side of the road. This car was the most costly mistake of my life. We have put over $1000 trying to fix the car. It would not even pass the smog test a year after we bought it. Now it does not even work and is currently sitting on the side of the road with steam spewing from the engine bay. Very disapointed and very dissatisfied. Please don't buy a used car from this dishonest and unscrupulous auto mechanic.
