It was a very pleasant experience dealing with the staff at Newby Buick GMC. We were looking for a specific vehicle for our business and their website was very helpful with the amount of information and pictures that was available. We live several hundred miles away but were able to easily make the deal with a phone and a few text messages. Our salesman, Danny, was there on a Saturday to meet us and was very knowledgeable and helpful explaining all the functions of the electronic touch screen and how to get it synced with my phone. When we need another new GMC pickup we will definitely call Newby.

Some of the newer staff could use additional training. It took me three phone calls and nearly 23 hours just to get a basic quote and information on a vehicle. I traveled over 500 miles to purchase this car and had requested a video walk-around beforehand, but only received footage of three sides. When I arrived and saw it in person, the fourth side had four noticeable dents—not just small door dings. I understand it’s a used vehicle and some wear is to be expected, but I was disappointed that this wasn’t communicated before making a nine-hour trip. That said, the dealership did make things right by lowering the price to account for the dents, and once the price was finalized, the rest of the process went very smoothly. If communication had been quicker and the vehicle’s condition more transparently represented, this could have been a great experience. Typically, when you inquire about a vehicle, dealerships are quick to follow up—this time, it was the opposite.
