Generally, I'm not one to trust or recommend a mechanic, but I have recommended North Brady to several of my co-workers. We now have five people from our office who take their cars there. I have taken my car there for over two years and have been happy with the work they've performed, though they always try to talk me into buying a Toyota as VWs are a pain to work on. LOL Service is good, pricing seems to be a little lower than the competition (Lujacks) and the guy who owns the business is pretty easy to deal with. Also, as a bonus, they have a shop cat. ;)

Worst shop ive been to. I drove a running vehicle to them and had to have the vehicle towed home. Also very expensive. $31 for a spark plug? Also to top it off the manager was very rude. Not recommended

These guys are amazing, always straight shooters and get the job done fast and professionally. I have an 05 Nissan Titan and they always take great care of the car. I have been taking my truck and past car there for a year or two now and have never been disappointed with them. Stan and the guys at the shop are the best around!

The guys at North Brady Imports are great! I’ve taken my car here multiple times and received great customer service. They have been able to get me in quickly and charged fair prices. I would highly recommend.

Price gouged me hard, just over 500 dollars for an oil change and diagnostic. Just moved with a new car, so I had no where else to go. Said 2,500 to fix it. I'm so broke I thought put it back together and took the price they gave me. I don't know the other local mechanics, but if you go here watch what these snakes do to your car. Also pretty sure they messed with battery when the problem was in the fuel pump.

Took my car in to get a diagnostic for check engine light! They call me and said it was going to be 250$ for the diagnostic they went ahead and diagnose it and then called me later to say that it was going to be 1,000 estimate and that it was some sensors! The next day I went they still wanted to keep my car and they wanted me to call later that day! Finally got my car that afternoon and they were telling me that it was going to be something else if the car was doing the same thing like before it had a misfire! So they told me that estimate was 2,500! In my head I’m asking my self is that not why i paid to get a 250$ diagnostic to see what’s wrong with it not to get some solenoids replaced and get charged almost 1,000$ and my car is still the same!

If I could give it a zero stars, I would. My driver’s window wouldn’t roll up anymore, so they left it uncovered. (I don’t even know why they needed the window down in the first place.) Came this morning to pay and pick up my car. I found snow piled inside the car which caused my leather seats to be ruined!! They couldn’t even cover it up with cardboard or a trash bag! When I asked about it the guy’s response was “we tried to roll it up and we don’t have anything to cover it.” So you are telling me you couldn’t find a trash bag or a piece of cardboard to cover the window?Worse place possible. Oh and I just paid $172 so they can tell me they don’t really know what’s wrong with my car BUT they HIGHLY recommend me to pay $600+ for a car part that they “think” could solve my problem. I would never bring my Audi S4 back here again. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I have been taking my cars to these guys since 2016. I have been through a few cars since then. They have been able to fix anything from Ford to Honda. I have recommended these guys to everybody. They have always been fair, friendly and priced appropriately.

Used to be a good reliable place that was less expensive than dealer. Not anymore. Was told gas cap was causing engine light to pop on. Needed oem cap. Fine. They used non-oem cap and light came on 1/4 mile as I left. Looked at cap and attachment cable didn’t even fit. Called back and they said we may need to do some more troubleshooting. Took to dealer who said you need…oem cap. Replaced it and it is right. I would not trust the quality controls anymore 😢

$830 to replace a battery in an 18 year old BMW. This place used to be the best alternative to taking it to the dealership, but now they nickel and dime you and price gouge you tremendously. Stay away.

Great people! I had a check engine light on my Sprinter that Mercedes started to diagnose but didn’t complete and these guys were sooo helpful and nice enough to read the code for me to give me some clarity on what the issue was and advise me on repair. Highly recommend for your import vehicle needs!

10/10 recommend this place. they were able to look at my boyfriends 2006 bmw 330i the same day and give us a quote. they got the part so we just ended up leaving the vehicle there over the weekend and they got it done! the price was kind of out of budget so they worked with us and what we had and we’re able to help. they were kind and seemed to know what they were doing. i’ll be coming back for sure!!!

We have been taking our vehicles to North Brady for over 5 years. We have had 3 different brands, Saab-93, Volvo S70, and Mercedes-Benz 350CLK. Steve and his crew have always been down to earth, honest, and reasonable. They always seem to manage to get the car in when we need to. The whole crew truly goes the extra mile for their clients. Highly recommend!!

Great experience, friendly, knowledgeable and fast. July 2024 - 2nd Experience I had the Thermostat, Water pump, Water pump belt and Intake manifold gasket replaced. At my request, I had the serpentine replaced at the same time. I know it's hard to hit 5 starts once, but twice is a bar that most will never reach. I would differently recommend this place to anyone that needs work done. I have only gone to the 5211 Grand Ave, Davenport, IA 52807 location and will continue as the need arises. This is my honest opinion, and I have no personal ties to this shop or employees.

Took our VW Bug to have the headlights replaced. They were under warranty. We have taken our car there numerous times for different repair work. Staff is very welcoming. Work done is explained if any issues were encountered. Fair pricing on work that is done.

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles to North Brady Imports Plus for nearly 30 years! We have always been treated with great respect and concern for our automobile issues. All of the staff encountered have been extremely polite, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. The people at North Brady Imports Plus have always been able to solve our automotive mysteries and repair minor and major issues with a higher degree of expertise and at a significantly-lower cost than most dealership's service departments! Thank you for all of these past years of assistance in maintaining our automobiles!

Highly recommend! We relied on North Brady Imports to get our only vehicle up to its old running condition - they did not disappoint. Our WRX is just beautiful again, as zippy and powerful as ever. They worked tirelessly making sure it was just the way it needs to be. They never made us feel intrusive when we'd ask to speak to the mechanics and kept us updated regularly. (Two years ago when a certain Subaru dealership would work on our WRX because it was too old, North Brady stepped up to the challenge.

NEVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE. THEY WILL UPCHARGE YOU FOR SERVICES YOU DONT NEED AND BLATANTLY LIE. My boyfriend brought his car in here and they did a number of scummy things. Including recommending he gets a new accessory belt even though it’s less than 2 years old and in perfect shape, they claimed “it wouldn’t even last till winter”. They also claimed he needed a new alternator because it was “shredding the accessory belt”. Overall they are an absolute nightmare to deal with and terrible place of business.

Absolutely terrible experience. Brought my 2007 c280 here for trouble starting. When I brought it in I described in detail all of the characteristics of the problem as well as an engine code for the throttle body which I thought might be important. They charged $450 dollars to diagnose the problem going through everything and checking the entire fuel system. They then came to the conclusion that the air filters were dirty and replaced them for another $150. They then tried to egregiously upsell me on tons of service that I didn’t need including $900 for the spark plugs and coil packs that had just gotten replaced. To top it off they didn’t even fix the problem. I still had the same problem of hard starts as before after almost $700 dollars in work done. I then took it to a different Indy shop and they diagnosed it as a “sticky” throttle body, which I believed it might have been from the engine code I mentioned before. They then charged a reasonable price to disassemble everything and clean it. Never take your car to these clowns. They don’t know what they’re doing and will up charge you at whatever chance they get.
