My 18 year old daughter who knows nothing about cars purchased a new wiper blade here. She asked if they would help her install it and they said it was too cold outside and they would not. I'm guessing it would have taken them 15 seconds! Awful customer service and plain LAZY! We will take our business elsewhere in the future. 5/6/23 UPDATE: I decided to give this store another try, hoping things had improved. The clerk who "helped" me was rude, short and put out that I wanted help. I didn't catch his name but he had shoulder length hair and was very unkept. The only reason I mention his appearance as is it may help management to identify this individual and hopefully reprimand him. I am so disappointed and angry! 😡

Needed a battery heater. Even though it's late in the season and a slightly niche part, they had the correct one on hand. The associate also tried it on a battery before I bought it to ensure fitment. It is very helpful only going to the store once!

They are literally the SWEETEST team!! They helped me get the bulbs I needed for my brake lights and then asked if I needed help putting them in. They put my brake lights in for me! Then when my steering column was locked up and my key wouldn’t turn, they helped me get it unlocked so I could get back to work. They are literally the best and I couldn’t recommend them more.

Bought a brake light switch, when l plugged it in it caused abs and traction control lights to come on so something was wrong with it. They would not do anything about it, just said no return on electrical parts. It was their part, got a different one and it works fine

Central entrance Duluth store: Still the absolute worst O'Reilly I've ever gone to. I've lived in WA, CA(LA and Orange County), MN and used Oreilly across the nation for lots of road trips. Everyone, except the disabled guy, is an absolute surly mess. Only know mechanic tech enough to be an absolute danger to people's safety. Will give you broken/used stuff. More likely so if you made them look something up. Get angry when they don't know something, instead of listening to what I ask for. This is over the course of _YEARS_ of "Its been 3-4 months, I'll give them one more time. The district manager HAD to have cleaned up this store by now." NOPE. It's a larger jobber store, so the manager probably has large contracts to local shops and the risk of losing him/her is too much to kick them out for having such horrible customer service.

So we just happen to be driving past on Central entrance. My wife and I had in revan. Our battery light came on and then we saw little puffs of smoke coming out of the corner of the hood. We pulled in. I opened the hood and left the car running. I noticed that there was some smoke emanating from the alternator so I shut it off. I went inside and asked the guys if they could have someone come out and look at it. A guy behind the counter immediately ran outside of the vehicle with me. Next thing I know the entire staff that was behind the counter all four of them are out there. Taking a look at my vehicle. Trying to figure out what's wrong. We had shut the vehicle off but the smoke was still coming. Larry took one look at it and knew exactly what was wrong. He immediately unhooked a battery and the smokes stops and he said the alternator is trying to top off a battery and trying to run all the electronics inside but since there's so much corrosion on the positive lead it was getting overheated from all of the extra resistance. You then took me in and asked me if they had tested the battery and one of their other employees had and it tested good. He then proceeded to finding the exact alternator that I needed should I need to replace it, which he believed that I did. If y'all's familiar on that particular van had not been buried so far down the engine Bay. Honestly, I would have probably done it myself. But all the way up until we left and we got the vehicle towed to to All-Star service. Which by the way are also fantastic. They stayed with us and checked on us to make sure that everything was cool. And seriously, whatever you're paying Larry, you need to Trupple it!!!!!! he guy is and absolute asset to your team and knows what the hell he's talking about. The shop was able to confirm that exactly what he said is what happened and they ended up replacing your alternator and checking the wires that led to it. They determined that it's a good thing that lay unhooked at wanting did otherwise. The wires would have caught too much resistance and I would have been replacing a large portion of the wiring loom underneath the hood. To the staff that are at that particular store on West Central entrance, I say a big thank you to My wife and I are very thankful that we ended up at that specific O'Reilly's. Bottom line, if you have an issue while you're driving through town and you're not too far from this place, they are definitely capable and willing to help you out. Highly recommend.

Great staff that offer problem solving thru hands on experience. They know what products they sell that will be the correct remedy. My latest experience was being focused on a bonding product called "GOOP". A magic solution to my need.

Incredibly rude and unprofessional service. The men on duty made sexist and ableist remarks when asked to help change rear windshield wiper. Not a safe or welcoming environment and I won't be returning.

Walking into O’Reilly Auto Parts in Duluth, MN feels like stepping into a world where every squeak, clunk, rattle, and “mysterious grinding noise” suddenly has hope. I went in unsure whether my car needed a new battery, a new alternator, or possibly an exorcism—but the staff didn’t even flinch. The employees here know their stuff. I described my car problem using the universal language of confused noises (“It kind of goes grah-grah-KHHH when I turn left”), and they somehow translated it into actual human words and showed me exactly what I needed. They’ve got everything: wiper blades for when Minnesota decides to throw sideways snow at your windshield, motor oil in quantities that make you question every life choice, and enough little dashboard gadgets to make your car feel like it’s leveling up. Checkout is quick, the vibe is friendly, and the staff never once judged me for calling the catalytic converter a “metal beehive thing.” Their patience deserves its own award.

I called ahead to see if they had what I needed, and they took the time to look it up and confirm it was in stock. I stopped in to pick up the part, and everyone was friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Great local service!
