Completely agreed with another reviewer about how rude and condescending the owner is over the phone. Got a very detail quote (though expensive) for a very specific job from a dealer and called to see if I can get an estimate from him as many reviewers raved about how great the pricing is here. A simple answer/clarification that one needs to bring the vehicle in for an estimate of any job would be sufficient and clear. But no, the owner needed to rudely and condescendingly rant that he is not even doing this as his full time job, it is a waste of his time and he nevers entertain providing quote over the phone. Will never bring my business here.

I can’t say enough good things about Cameron and the team at One Up Service Auto Repair. My truck had been giving me problems for a while, but I kept putting off repairs because I’ve had bad experiences in the past—overpriced work, poor communication, and shops that just don’t seem to care. That wasn’t the case here at all. From the moment I dropped off my vehicle, I could tell I went to the right place. The turnaround time was quick, the pricing was more than fair, and most importantly, they got my truck running like it should again. Was looking for a shop close to home that I could rely on to go to for anything that I needed and found Cameron really close. I had a great experience, he was super personable and I felt like I could trust him to correctly diagnose what was wrong with my car. He showed me what he was looking at and why, and broke down everything to me step-by-step as he went along. He answered all my questions and told me for things to look for in the future. Also, really fair with Price, he understands that not everybody can pay for everything to fix their car right then and there and so he told me what I should prioritize and then things that I should budget for. I will be recommending this shop to everyone that I know, and will be the only shop I take my car to from now on!

Takes blind trust to hand over your car for 100,000 miles maintenance. Especially driving from Midway . One Up was recommended by a person working at an oil change business in Huntsville! Cameron and team really treated me great! Went in with AC issues and they used top of the line equipment to find and fix a leaky service port and recharge the system. No BS. Kept me informed the entire time and allowed me to approve each suggested repair one by one. 100% honest service that you can appreciate. It's like having a buddy who's a mechanic. One Up Service has two of Houston best mechanics. These two Gentlemen do excellent work. Our Fiat was making some weird noises and we thought it was the brakes and after we received the very first report we knew we were in good hands. I cannot say enough about Cameron and his ethics and business operation. I have never had an experience with a car repair company that left me with NO QUESTION that my best interest was in mind. The problem diagnosed by computer turned out to be not exactly right and he refunded the money for the part that apparently wasn’t the issue. He worked with me giving me several options about what we wanted to do moving forward. You will not be sorry you brought your business to him!

Usually, I'd say that mechanics are about as trustworthy as used car salesmen. On top of that, finding a knowledgeable and competent mechanic has felt impossible. Thankfully, Cameron from One Up Service is all of those things. Cameron explained what he was checking and what he was seeing as he was working, showing me so that I didn't just have to take his word for it. Maybe most importantly, when Cameron ran into an issue he didn't know how to diagnose/fix, he was candid about it. He said "this part might fix it, but I'm not actually sure" and recommended I go elsewhere for that specific issue. Most places I've used previously would charge me 250% market price for the part, even after the issue wasn't fixed. It's nice to find an auto shop that cares about more than just the bottom line. And on top of that, he let me play with his cute dog Arley while he was working.

They didn’t have many reviews but since they were good, we took our car there. The owner, Cameron, is great. He explained the repairs we needed very clearly and ones we can do later. I found One Up Service on Google Maps. I called and spoke with Cameron, he is knowledgeable and kept a good line of communication open with me during the entire repair process. I actually took it to them for a second opinion from the dealership, who said I needed a new steering rack installed, part: $2800 plus install. Cameron and his tech looked over my truck and found that tie rods, ball joints, front struts and shocks were what I needed. He was also honest and offered solutions that would save me money. The shocks he ordered came with a part he thought he needed to order. And since he did not need to order it, he took another $200 off my invoice. They took the truck, to get it aligned and took it to the car wash and had it cleaned. Excellent customer service and will be using One Up Service going forward. The fact that they're open on Sundays is helpful as my problem occurred Saturday night and I had to get back to Dallas by Monday.
