Optimist Auto replaced my exhaust pipe, muffler, and tail pipe on 1/13/23. After getting the truck back, I looked under it to inspect the work. I noticed that the exhaust pipe was not replaced at all. Rather, the old rusty one was still there (and still is today). I drove back and asked him about this, he was apologetic, said the exhaust that came didn’t fit, and that he forgot to take the item off the bill. I was refunded for the part, but not for the labor hours or the shop supplies. A little less than two years later, the “new” muffler has rusted through, and the tail pipe has rusted away from the muffler. I do not know what quality of aftermarket parts he used, and I do not want to give Jason a bad name, but just be warned. The muffler and tail pipe lasted me a little less than two years. Jason, the sales # is 6283 2/10/25. Thank you, Jason, for your response. Is this something you would like to make right? The place in St. Johns who fixed it said it was also missing a support bracket as well.

I've had several shops look at my car to find the annoying rattling noises I can hear but they'd always say nothing was wrong. The gentleman here at Optimist Auto checked the little overlooked things and was able to quiet a lot of the noises. Also, the mechanic is very knowledgeable. He knew a lot about my car even though it's not the most common car out there. I really liked that my car was able to be looked at without an appointment. The desk person is friendly and the whole place looks very clean. They use modern equipment, including computers and payment systems. I feel the place was reasonable in cost. I will be coming here from now on.
