Kevin and his crew at Orange Grove Muffler are among the most caring, meticulous and helpful mechanics I have come across. Kevin helped me determine the modifications done to my newly purchased, used Dodge Challenger SRT8. He pointed out the exhaust modifications done (I had loose parts and is why I came to see him at Orange Grove Muffler); listened to my desires in exhaust function and tone; and then recommended and installed a custom cat-back exhaust on the car at a very reasonable price. I ended up with a custom job, excellent craftsmanship and welding. A perfect Magnaflow product and sound was recommended for my car and I LOVE it. It sounds like the powerful muscle car that it is - I have Kevin to thank for fixing the previous bad work and bringing it to life. Slightly difficult to find (for me anyway) next to a couple other auto body shops west of Lake Ave on Orange Grove, behind the 76 Station. Kevin was extremely professional, very upfront and transparent about pricing, the cost of labor, his own cost for parts he explained the process to me and offered me a ride to wherever I needed to be while the work was done. Some people are claiming that they were ripped off because the prices went up over the course of their conversation with Kevin. But I understand that this sort of work is complicated, and new issues arise, unforeseen parts are necessary as they get to work and take a closer look. Kevin showed me what he pays for the parts, so I understood that I wasn't being upsold and that he only had my best interests at heart. I will be back when these catalytic converters run their course, in another 100,000 miles!

I went here after I failed the smog test. Kevin and Leo were able to diagnose the problem quickly and get my truck in shape to pass. Even though I just moved to Pasadena Kevin treated me like family, and didn't try to sell me things I didn't ask for or cheat me. He made sure my new catalytic converter was the correct part number to pass California inspection laws, so I wouldn't fail the smog test again. I cannot put into words how happy I am with the service I received. Kevin and his crew provided professional, kind and quick service. They were super patient with me while I broke down in tears about the recent theft of my 2 catalytic converter's out of my v8 pick up. DO NOT come here, brought my car for a quick and easy exhaust adjustment. after the owner checked my car out he gave me a quote of $120 which is insane for the job that needed to be done. it shouldn’t be any more than $60. so i say no and he tries to guilt trip me by saying he was making my car a priority and put every other car on stop for me. he than proceeds to go down in price to $100 then $80- still say no while he lies and explains to me how much work it’s going to take. later that visit, i call three different places and all of them said $40, so i got it done for 40$

Kevin is amazing! My car's catalytic converter got stolen. Kevin offered me a very competitive price. He told me to bring the car in right away and he fixed it under two hours. It was a Saturday so no parts delivery. He even drove to pick up the parts himself. I accidentally gave him the wrong vehicle information so one of the part we originally ordered was not compatible. He was being very kind and offered to replace it right away without additional labor fee. I only had to cover the new part which is only a small amount. They also do other services such as oil change, brake and tires etc. I will definitely come back for future services and highly recommend this shop to my friends.
