This shop was extremely helpful and professional. They were very transparent on pricing (which was very generous) and got my truck in and repaired quicker than anticipated. The owner Joaquin kept me informed every step of the process and then much to my surprise didn't "hit me over the head" when the bill was due! Brought my car too him an charged me 720 bucks an my car still left with the same problem an now it's even worse would not trust him would leave negative stars if I could says he fixed it but yet still has the same problem as when it went there he quoted me 6700 dollars for a new motor an gm is doing it for 5k he is way overpriced an his work is shity

This is by far one of the best auto mechanic’s shop I have been to. Honesty and integrity coupled with a very well-defined and in depth knowledge of vehicle repairs inside and out. Joaquin saved us when our daughter’s car started malfunctioning right before getting on the road to head back to Charleston. It was after hours and he responded opening his shop to help her. He has also helped our other daughter that is in college with her car maintenance, all while not trying to rip us off or break the bank. He actually shows you the problem so that you can see it for yourself. My husband and I will be driving 3 hours to get our car maintenance done from now on. It’s hard to find great honest mechanics that are true to what they do and to their customers. Thank you for taking care of both of our daughter’s cars and not trying to take advantage of them or us.

They stand by their work!!! Accidentally scratched my valve cover while working on my car but they are honest and do things right and they repainted my valve cover. Took car in to get Freeze plugs changed and a thermostat as well on my 65 Volvo PV544 Sport. Prices are good compared to other shops and what’s going on with inflation. They won’t charge you for anything extra they will tell you what they going to do and what you’re getting charged for.

This is our second time at Ortiz & Sons and they will forever have our families business. For the three years we have lived in this area we have gone to over a dozen places for service and no one has been as genuine or trustworthy. Just stop researching here we have been everywhere. After horrible experiences costing us thousands at highly rated local other small and large shops and even dealerships that have done nothing but cause more damage to our vehicles we have finally felt comfortable knowing we can trust our cars are in good hands. They helped us on a holiday, after hours and with kindness and respect to my family.

My short review for Ortiz & Sons is if you are anywhere near Spartanburg, you should be getting your car serviced here! I would add more stars if I wasn't limited to five! My full review is --- I was traveling through South Carolina on vacation when my transmission quit working - on a Sunday afternoon. A Google search led me here, and the reviews were very positive, so I brought my car here. When I arrived, Joaquin was speaking with another customer about what seemed to be a pre-purchase inspection. The way he took the time to explain everything with that vehicle to them made me realize he was going to be thorough and trustworthy. Joaquin took the time to check out my car and gave me potential options. I decided to leave the car to get the transmission replaced there and return on my way back through South Carolina. He was able to have the transmission shipped and installed within the week so I could pick it up while I was still in the area. Joaquin kept me updated on the progress of the repair and arranged for me to pick the car up even though the shop was closed. Everything was going well with the transmission, but later that day my starter gave up as well. Now Friday, Joaquin met with me after hours to replace my starter so I could continue my travel plans the next morning. All in all, the price for the repairs was good, the customer service was amazing, and I highly recommend getting your car serviced here!

I have 2012 Subaru Impreza. My bearing wheel was coming apart. Not to mention that the car is very corroded from driving up north. Mr. Ortiz fixed it wonderfully on a short notice. My car has never been running that well. Very professional and polite man. Definitely will be back.

Brought my Mazda in due to it being in “limp mode”. Asked if they could tell me what it needed to be running right again and if it was worth it. They had my car for less than 24 hours and a I got a call that it was ready to go. His diagnostics showed “mis firing” and changing the spark plugs got me back on the road. Only cost me a couple hundred and he applied my diag fee to the final cost. He also provided me with a list of “need to do soon” and “can wait but watch” on some other issues. Always trust this place to keep my cars running for as little as possible due to my limited budget. Amazing place with skilled mechanics. Highly recommended and will return.
