Was told the vehicle would be repaired and returned back to us on a Monday. We took the GMC in on Thursday, December 12th and did not get it back until the following Thursday, December the 19th in the afternoon. We were kept informed but the mechanic, his wife had surgery, excuse was accepted. Then on Monday they said they had the wrong hoses ordered had to wait a second day. Then came the notice the pulled had to be replaced, had been bent by the specialist. Another or placed and took another day delayed. It was replaced and then truck was returned after they had been told we needed to put our other vehicle in for a major brake issue this delayed almost ended in a car accident because of brake failure.now we have the Chevrolet in for brake repairs and waiting for more problems to arise. I do not like being told a vehicle will be ready and then another delay after another delay. A shop like Pep Boys with more than one store in a city should have some of the basics readily available instead of having to wait for a truck to come in every day. Fantastic service. Got a brake pads and rotors done with a break flush as well. Total time was only a few hours. Going back again next weekend for follow up repairs

Don’t waste your time , store looks like they are moving only one tech working and manager guy wasn’t even willing to help out a stranger stranded with a frozen caliper !go to the local auto zone and give Chris your business , he will go out of his way to get you the help you need !

Insanely slow. Made an appointment for new tires and an alignment. Showed up early dropped off vehicle. 2 1/2 hours later they are done, wife picks it up and sends me copy of receipt. They did not perform the alignment, I had to call and tell them I paid for an alignment they said they forgot to do it. Wife brings vehicle back, took them over 3 hours to do an alignment that is crazy. Now I'm really not sure that alignment was done correctly.

Similar to Cynthia- Was told they could fix car the same day. $1800 and a week and a half later, the problem still exists. They fixed the wrong part and had a couple of other “plastic parts that broke” along the way that drove up cost. Complete ripoff, frustration, and corporate offered no solution except to offer half off to bring it back in to fix what needed fixed originally. Better off to find some place who cares about their customers and knows what they’re doing. I should’ve known better when it looked like they’re out of business.

Husband took his car in after hitting a curb during icy weather. Had an appointment set for Tuesday and had it towed there Monday, car was not even LOOKED at till Friday. We had 0 communication or updates and anytime we’d call for an update we’d get an attitude and told to “be patient” His tire rod needed replaced and new wheel bearings, they also mentioned a leak and worn brakes. We had told them we were sure the speed sensor was damaged, that was never noted to be damaged or anything but said it was inspected in our bill. We get the car two weeks later and legit 2 days later the speed sensor went out on my husbands way to work. He had little braking, little steering and no speedometer at all. It is now sitting somewhere else waiting to be looked at again and fixed this has been the worst nightmare and experience ever. We will never be returning

The PepBoys was a store I have not been in awhile. Over the years I've been going to Advance/CarQuest, AutoZone, O'Reilly's, and Harbor Freight. It was to the point where I forgot what they even offered. I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of inventory on hand from tires, tools, accessories and hard parts. They offered different levels of tools from gift items to professional brands. The planograms seems to have not been reset in nearly a decade. Which almost felt homey for me but may deter many newer customers from going there. A lot of items could be rotated, dusted, even clearanced out to give it a fresh brighter feel. A lot of the clamshell packaging was yellowed from age. Overall I experienced a good purchasing visit. Unfortunately I would not recommend the store to anyone accustomed to Target or Kohl's because this PepBoys it feels dirty.

Well to start, if I was capable of giving a zero for a review I would. I would never suggest this Pepboys. They are shady & by far the most unethical mechanics to work on any vehicle. To say they are incompetent is an understatement!! Unlike my husband, I have no problem expressing that you will be taking a huge gamble with your vehicle if you allow them to touch it. The first estimate they gave was $55.21. Than of course that figure grew all the way to a whopping $550.00+ dollars. We went in to have our air conditioner fixed. We got it back & quickly discovered the heat suddenly stopped working altogether. "Also their were supposed more issues with our car that needed to be fixed," but they couldn't fix the 1 issue we took it in for. Need less to say, we retrieved our vehicle & got out of there before they could do anymore damage. DISGRACEFUL!!!!!

No communication, took my vehicle up there twice for ac repair, problem is still there and it’s even worse than it was. No one will let you know what’s going on, and making an appointment doesn’t help you out. If you can find somewhere else to get your work done I would highly suggest you take it there.

Took it in with a P0302 Cylinder #2 Misfire. Paid $500+ for a coil and plug. Got home and started getting P0352 Coil B (#2) Circuit Malfunction. Makes you wonder if they really replaced anything. Very disappointing. Update 20JAN2025: The store manager contacted me and we were able to get the issue resolved. They refunded the incorrect part. I installed the correct part. (This is a job I would have done altogether, if it wasn't freezing outside.) I paid for the other work that was done correctly.

Brought them a vehicle with a slow coolant leak and asked if they could change my headlights since I was already there. Took them a couple of hours to look at it, they advised that basically everything in my car was broken and coolant was "pouring" out, even though I was only needing to refill it once a week. Estimate was about $4000. Asked about just the thing I came for, was told $1600. I said don't bother. It took them 45 minutes to give me my car back, so I was late for work. In that time, the headlight replacement got $20 more expensive somehow?? Two days later my vehicle DID start pouring out coolant. Took it somewhere else and they fixed it for $300.

Horrible service promised my car back today to no one communicate with me to I wasn't getting my car back today. Probably gonna cost me my job because they can't communicate and keep their word. I'd give 0 if possible. Never bring your vehicles here I ll use Meinke from now on. Paying $1400 for them to keep my car 3 day longer due to cutting hours of technician assigned to my car.

If looking for timely service, this is no longer the place to go. Didn't realize that they were no longer a full service location. Took over an hour to get an oil change because they don't have oil filters in house & had to wait on one to be delivered. Only reason I stopped in was because I was close to it & needed service. Now wishing I would have not chosen convenience. It may not be as bad if you schedule service, but do not go here for service without an appointment. Wow, $100 oil change, 1.5 hrs & didn't even fill wiper fluid.

The guys at this Pep Boys have been fantastic about not only greatly providing the services I’ve came in their shop for years for but have gone above and beyond to take care of other little things that have popped up with my car, occasionally at their own time and expense. Highly recommend the shop.

I took my car on for the ac check. They had my car for 2.5 hours and told me it just needed refrigerant. They did the dye test and advised me that they checked for leaks and there weren't any, but the actuator on the passenger side was out, so that side wouldn't blow cold air. They filled the refrigerant, before speaking with me. I paid almost $215, only for my ac to still blow hot air the very same day that they "fixed" it. I took it back, they had it another 2.5 hours, and told me that the condenser is "ate up." The condenser is maybe 5 years old (whe I told him that he said maybe something from the road got under the hood and messed up the condenser🙄). They also told me that all the refrigerant had leaked out (which I was aware because it was on the floor of my garage) even though they advised me 2 days before that I did not have a leak. This place was a joke. Very dissatisfied with the service, and I feel they were dishonest, and I'll be sure to let everyone I know not to have any work done at this place. If I could give zero stars I would.

Avoid like the plague!!! AVOID. Took the truck in to fix the AC, I’ve had several trucks in a fleet with the same problem and it turns out to be the compressor. They had it a full day, told us to come get it and that it was working. I get there and there was no AC. They swore it was working so they take it back and look at it a few hours just to say bring it back another day and they’ll replace the compressor like I asked, all while one of the mechanics was asking me about my job because they don’t pay him enough there. Take it back another day, they have it a full day and I have to pick it up itch no ac again. They order more parts but I take it to other mechanics and they tell me I’m blowing fuses and don’t have ac because of the compressor pep boys changed and I should take it back there for a warranty. I go back to pep boys and tell them what Midas says about the compressor and they screw around for 7 hours “testing” it. They determined the compressor was bad and They spend 2 hours trying to replace the compressor but can’t get the belt off. So another day with nothing getting accomplished. I finally take it to Midas and bring the new compressor and within 3 hours I have ac and they tell me the compressor is good but pep boys didn’t install it correctly and spliced random wires that was not needed. Cost me way more money than it should have so if you take your vehicle there have fun. Go to Midas up the road!

I have a 2004 Cadillac with the Northstar engine. That is a difficult engine to work on. The Pep Boys team did a fabulous job. The car runs much better. Near perfect. Communication was good. I usually went to the dealership, but Pep Boys had my future business.

Started off by my wife needing to get a flat tire repaired for $25. I scheduled two appointments with them, which they confirmed, but then they had to rescheduled both appointments. They then said my wife drove on the tire when it was flat for too long and ruined the tire, so we would have to buy a new tire. I didn’t fight them with that. Then the lug nut got cross threaded when putting on the new tire. They quoted me $250 to fix it. After looking at it closer they said the whole hub would need replaced and it would cost just less than $800. I then took the car down the road to Firestone and they did the job for under $200. I would definitely not recommend pep boys.

They got me in same day to mount 4 tires and get an alignment done. The gentleman working the front desk was very personable and kind and the technician that worked on my vehicle did an amazing job. Fast, friendly, reliable service at a convenient location. Thanks guys!
