Absolutely the best. They looked out for me after a horrible experience with Alford Tire Center. Even while minimum manned they got me out within a reasonable time. I came in there stressed and left with education and a safe and serviceable car. Very appreciative of their work and patience with my million questions.

Made an 0830 appointment for an oil change for my son’s car Saturday morning. Arrived 10 minutes prior and was told I’m next up for service. While waiting, I observed a very distressed lady concerned with the quality of service she had received from Pep Boys. Apparently another service facility didn’t agree with what she had completed here. The service manager listened politely, could not answer her specific questions and sent her on her way. I then watched the two service managers discuss another customer who had apparently ordered parts (from PepBoys) for delivery to the store but they couldn’t locate them. They seemed less concerned than the customer seemed to be. The one customer service manager was very happy with landing another fleet account though. I watched them upsale another customer. It was now 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment and none of the folks that were waiting for their cars to be serviced had moved. I decided at the 45 minute mark, I wasn’t going to lose my morning, asked for me keys and left. I like that Pep Boys use Pennzoil oil, but thats where it ends. After watching how they treated and discussed their customers, I won’t return.

Had an oil change on Friday, all weekend my car has been leaking left over oil all over my driveway. I understand that this happens from time to time, but the amount of oil is way more than normal.

Pep Boys store 1528 located at the address of 712 W 23rd St, Panama City, FL 32405… This store is like the gift that just keeps giving. If you desire frustration, disappointment, and surprise this is the establishment for all your automotive needs. These quality automotive unprofessionals that lack integrity will destroy any vehicle new or old for an inflated charge of course. In August of 2024, I purchased tires from this place. Great, $900.00 for tires, and a “complimentary” inspection. No problem, that’s the price of life these days. So long story short, I paid $900.00 to have new tires installed as well as have our interior decimated. The headliner had grease stains all over on the driver side entry point of the vehicle. After a brief battle and being hung up on by store 1528, I reached out to corporate and waited. Eventually, Pep Boys Area Director Chip contacted me about the situation and the chess game was on. He did the best he could to defend his careless automotive experts at store1528. I mean there is no possible way that store 1528 could have done that. They really do care about every car they work on… As soon as pictures were presented things became reality. The end result of this completely avoidable situation was store 1528 was directed to credit me the labor costs for the installation of the tires. Wonderful. Fast forward to present day, 3/2/2025 (hence the review). Today, I replaced the original factory air filter that came with the vehicle when purchased. Upon removing the factory filter I discovered that it had been smashed and forced into the air box, not allowing it to properly seal or filter air as designed. This vehicle has only once ever been serviced at a shop, which is store 1528, to get tires. The Pep Boys “complimentary” inspection, which among other things, specifically opens and inspects the vehicle air filter in the engine compartment. This “complimentary” inspection that is done to every vehicle that enters Pep Boys will be destructive and damaging when completed by careless staff that conduct subpair work. This type of careless work will directly put the longevity of a vehicle in jeopardy. So, with that said be aware of the kind of shop you are taking your vehicle to… New or old Pep Boys store 1528 does not discriminate and will destroy any car for a cost with a Sunshine State smile. Pep Boys (Icahn Enterprises), please do not apologize to me because I had a poor experience. Instead, do better and be better to your customers.

The sales associate in the lobby seemed VERY uninterested in helping me with my tire concerns. He honestly seemed like he would rather be anywhere else but work. That interaction, along with the high prices, made me leave feeling upset and overall negative about the whole experience. After that poor interaction, I left and went to Discount Tires. At Discount Tires their associate was eager to help with smile and great attitude. Thank God we live in a town that has multiple businesses that offer tire assistance. With this being said, I would highly suggest not taking your business to Pep Boys.

I got a flat tire and because my wheels are aftermarket not many people carry them. Called this Pep boys and they had at least one in stock and the guy even went all the way on the beach side to pick it up for me as I went to the one on 23rd Street in Panama City. Everyone there had an awesome attitude and didn't treat me like I was a burden because they were at work. They've already told me about the tire sale coming up and I will be bringing my other vehicle here for service as well. It was much appreciated 💯

I bought black friday tires i got them balanced had balance problems than a tire went flat, I returned and waited for 2 hours finally Mat the Mgr said I had to put my own spare back on and they didnt see a flat tire. .I did took 30 seconds. I returned a few weeks later with same shaking in front door.. Mat rotated my tires and rebalanced. I returned again a few weeks later The Truck is a spare and Only drive it once a week. Returned with same balance problem but now it was steering wheel shaking..The new employee told me I I had to pay.again after arguing with him he looked it up and glanced at Mat. He reluctantly agreed to look at it. But stated I had a attitude problem. I did now I told him it was because the way im treated. Mat grabbed the work order and said we're not taking care of you and ripped up the work order. I will never go there Pep boys has terrible customer servuce., they do not stand behind the work they do. Iwas also charged 150 for extra tire warranty that they do not cover.

I had a disappointing experience. The diagnostic was really lacking, and unfortunately, it led me to make decisions I wouldn’t have chosen if they’d done a proper, thorough diagnosis. I hope they can improve their processes, because the staff was friendly, but the accuracy just wasn’t there. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll go back after this one.

This is the second time I have made an appointment at this location. This is the second time I arrived at the scheduled time only to be told there was nobody there to work on my car. All I wanted was some coolant topped off. And they couldn’t even do that. Considering the appointment had been on the books, you would’ve thought common courtesy would dictate they call to let me know I need to reschedule. Never never never will I give them them the benefit of a doubt again.

This location tacks on a separate line item for $9.99 to reset your dash oil indicator as part of a standard oil change. They do not disclose the additional line item up front and when questioned after, tell you “it’s part of it” (Thanks Rodney). If it’s “part of it” it’s included in the oil change charge. Never experienced this at any other pep boys locations. This is probably a charge in the system for when a customer stops only for the purpose of resetting the indicator and my guess is they are misappropriating it. This is not transparent business. It’s a scam to eek $9.99 out of you for holding a dash button for 5 seconds. If you must go there, decline it up front. Buyer beware this location. Probably the tip of the iceberg.

If I could give no stars I would. Guy at front desk said they no longer expect Fidelity Warranty for oil changes. I called Fidelity to find out they still expect it. I went back into store and he still refused to take it. I called another Pep Boys to find out that their system to check is currently down so he can’t check for me. I will never be back to this location again. They just don’t want to work on anyone’s car.
