Recently my daughter’s car had a severe mechanical issues with her car just outside of Yuma, AZ. The car was towed to Pep Boys in Yuma and the team there did an excellent job diagnosing the issues with the vehicle. Juan Cabrera provided fantastic customer service, technical expertise and was very professional every time we spoke on the phone. I can’t say enough about Juan; just simply OUTSTANDING! Didn’t fix my problem. Brought it back 3 different times and then told me they couldn’t fix the problem. The air actuators are not working for the defrost and floor. When I brought it in, those were working and the vent wasn’t. Now it’s the opposite. A/C is still blowing air that’s not cold. Would not recommend A/C work here at pep boys. Waste of time and money

It's been a while since I've been at our local Pep Boys store so I decided to take my truck in. The young man at the front desk was very polite and easy to talk to. Everything step of their process was posted on their app so I could see where they were at with servicing my vehicle. It took just under an hour, which it felt a whole lot quicker.

Whatever employee drove my vehicle relocated or moved all of the air conditioning ducts and the driver's seat was completely redone as well as my radio. That type of movement had nothing to do with tire rotation. So we will not be returning

I keep seeing video ads about this place like they were doing a wonderful job but they are costly and not safe when I took my Cherokee to get the suspension check for safety issues the one wheel was loose I just wanted to be able to drive my Cherokee everywhere that I could and I noticed that it had some kind of sound that I noticeable to the point when I use the 4x4 it shakes the string wheel to the left side so I trusted them to do a great quality work because it the safety of the people life's health and they didn't do fix the problem of the wheel shaking. This is like in 2016 but that's why I can't drive it anymore and I had to sell my Cherokee. Because when I was able to fix paid to get fixed they made it worse it was very dangerous to continue to trust anyone!

Well folks I waited until today to see how Pepboys was going to handle the damage they caused to my Aluminum wheels. Pics attached Well.... to all who are considering or have scheduled service be careful. 4 weeks ago I left my truck for rotating and balancing. I specified Sticky weights so no damage to the outside finish would occur. (It had existing sticky weights on it). I picked the truck up....low and behold they installed outside wheel weights. Livid....i left for a important meeting. I was not happy, The Manager called me because of my 1st Google review and explained there machine for sticky weight balance was out of use.....whatever!. I reluctantly brought my truck back to have them install the correct weights. I was notified the truck was done. Upon arriving I pulled up along side the truck......no way I said to my wife...These jokers not only removed the clip-on weights they installed by mistake but then put on more...totally scaring and gouging the wheels. Oh! AND essentially un-rotated the wheels. When I reached down to feel the area of damage I was rewarded with an aluminum sliver.... I walked back in. Set the keys on the counter.....and said fix it!. I have damage well balanced wheels that still need rotating.... I voted with my wife to not return to PEPBOYS YUMA.....i have a warranty that I can't use unless I drive out of town. So boys and girls..... give it a go if you like to gamble

Good customer service. Explained as they continued the work. Will go back. I did receive a coupon with a 30% discount if this shop did the installation. The explanation was very confusing. The person in charge gave me an estimate. However, when he ran the coupon the discount was the part only. A huge difference when the bill was presented.

I made an appointment online for my dad. When he showed up for the appointment, they turned him away. I called Pep Boys, and the person on the phone gave me some excuse about how they were busy and only had two mechanics. Why even offer online scheduling if you’re not going to honor it?

🇺🇸 Veterans beware! 🔥 They will target you! I brought in the part I needed replaced. They claimed there was a different problem causing the issue and wanted $100 to run a test. I declined the test and asked them to just fix that additional problem instead, since it was cheaper than running a test alone. Christian, Travis, and Alexander, one of which I believe is the manager, all unanimously told exactly what part to purchase and where. I brought in the part they specified. 🥳 Surprise! 🤯 Halfway through the job, they “discovered” they had gave me the wrong part information. Now it’s going to cost an extra $100 after all! And here’s the kicker team: if I leave to get the correct part, I still have to pay them to put everything back together. Whether they install the bad part or the correct part, they want my money. 😀 No explanation. No apology. Just “your problem.” They knew exactly what they were doing. Team, please don’t get caught up like I did. They are going to try and squeeze what they can out of you. 🇺🇸 Protect yourself and your people.

May 29th 2025 pep boys replaced our braking system on our 2005 HONDA pilot, to the tune of $2294.86. On Sept 10 2025 the brakes failed while driving. Lucky was able to get the vehicle stopped before a collision accrued. Pepboys said the master cylinder failed, which they did not replace in May. Soooo another charge of $1117.84 they supposedly replace the master cylinder on brakes. On October 5th while driving on 32nd street the brakes failed again. This time to avoid hitting the cars in front of me I veered to right and hit a light pole. Police investigators examined the brakes at time of accident and the police report stated there were no brakes. At this time Pep Boys manager is not taking responsibility! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PEPBOYS! They are taking advantage of senior citizens and trying to cause them bodily harm!

They charged us 4,000.00$ for a new AC. 3 months later it was out of Freon, we took it back, left it for 10 days, 3 months later, out of Freon, took it back left it a week, 3 months later its out of Freon. Did this once or twice more until I said "just put Freon in it" They said "It's no longer under warranty you have to pay" I reluctantly agree to 67$ after they had it all day they say "Nope 200$" Me- Ok FINE. We didn't get it back til the next day and at pick up they charge 279.00$ Worst of all, when we were mad; They actually laughed.

Highway robbery!!! Idk if they heard a girl and were giving me the pink tax or what but they quoted me 500$ to charge an AC that takes 18g of refrigerant . Other shops in the area quoted me 100-150$ this location should be ashamed of themselves and I’ll be reporting this to corporate as I believe they tried to overcharge me bc I’m a woman OR they’re just blindly overcharging everyone which is also not okay

Came in for some new tires as I was out at the river and got a flat… technician couldn’t apparently find the leak and said the tire was holding air… so idk why they replaced it then and didn’t call and say it was ok… despite all that I was getting the tires anyways. No one showed me the work they did when they were done just handed me a receipt. They ended up telling me about my brake fluid which I didn’t come in for and so as I’m leaving Pep boys driving down the Main st.. my brake fluid cap goes flying off my hood……. Which then I had to pull off and run into the busy intersection looking for a cap that I didn’t even know was missing… what a disaster that would have been if I kept driving… ALSO one of my wheels is missing a weight?.. did they balance and align my tires?? Idk cause I didn’t get a briefing.. all and all not a pleasant experience I get it too, it’s hot and end of the day but come on… pay these kids more or lower your prices on tires cause that was not a cheap experience for the level of service that I received.. not pleases at pep

Had an appointment scheduled to have my air conditioning fixed at the Yuma, AZ location. Arrived on time only to be told that the air conditioning tech was not in today, but would be in tomorrow. I am going out of town at the end of the week and need it fixed today. I told them that they should really talk to there team about scheduling and was told that they have tried, but it doesn't work. I was also told that my appointment being canceled upon arrival was out of their hands. I should have been called this morning, they wasted my time. The only reason they are getting one star is the fact that they recommended another shop who is fixing the air conditioner and it will be ready tomorrow.
