My dealership charged me $320 just for diagnostic! And wanted another $1000 bucks for further diagnostics! Smh So, I took my car here instead and barely spent a thousand bucks for everything including my oil change. Everything on the car was check thoroughly and fix properly. I highly recommend this place for any issues with your cars and do your oil changes here as well. The employees are very nice and professional. If you're military you get military discount.

Took my 2011 lexus ct200h in for them to replace the clock spring. The horn had been intermittently working for the last 6 months. Being bogged down with other projects and having been to Petra for oil service in the past I figured I would pay for a mark up on the part and their labor to have it done sooner than it would take me. I told them I had tested the horn, the fuse, and the relay and advised I would like the clockspring replaced. They told me it would be a 139 diagnostic fee. They called me the next day, saying the clock spring was good but the air bag terminal pins were corroded. They said they would need to replace the air bag for $1500 just for the part. I knew they were lyin, knowing the horn and airbag circuit are separate and came and begrudgingly paid the diagnostic fee. After a part number search I found a compatible after-market part for $40 and with the help of online forums and YouTube videos was able to replace the part myself. Guess what? Horn works. Do you see any corrosion on the airbag terminal pins? Still waiting for the manager to call me and refund my money. I will never recommend or use their service in the future. I'm sticking with my honest mechanic in Orange Park.

Petra Auto is great. They installed a set of tires for me almost a year ago. I had a slow leak on one tire and they thoroughly inspected all tires. Fixed the leak so that I didn't have to get another tire and sent me on my way. AJ is an honest guy. Thoughtful and very honest.

I had the worst luck with Arlington Toyota while on my travels down south. Luckily I found Petra Automotive! Replaced my water pump and installed an upgraded trans cooler that I requested. Good work. Second opinion I took my 2013 Denali to Petra for a second opinion for suspension system work. They were thorough in their investigation into the issue. Call me later and stated what they found and what they didn't find. I felt Petra was honest and sincere in solving my issue and not out to over charge me. The manage was great in explaining step by step the corrective measure to repair the issue. By the way; I did not need the repairs that was quoted to me from the other company ‼️‼️

I recently had a wonderful experience at Petra Automotive Center! I initially stopped by to inquire about a brake repair appointment for my Sonata in the coming week. I had the pleasure of speaking with AJ, who was incredibly helpful. After I explained the issues I was having with my brakes, he went above and beyond by taking a look at my car right then and there. To my surprise and relief, AJ informed me that he could actually work on my car that very day if I had the time to wait. AJ clearly explained what needed to be done to fix my brakes and provided a transparent cost estimate upfront, which I really appreciated. While I waited, AJ made sure I was comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised that the repair was completed much faster than I had anticipated. The excellent service I received from AJ, combined with the efficient and high-quality brake repair, has definitely made me a loyal customer. I am extremely happy with this company as I was in need of a windshield wiper fix and assumed it was the motor. The motor would have been more expensive than what the actual issue was. Instead of trying to get over on me, the mechanic (owner of the shop) made sure to let me know the issue was not as serious as the motor and was fixed for cheaper then I anticipated and took less time then I expected. I am extremely happy as a good trustworthy mechanic is hard to find!!!

I recently became a customer of Petra Automotive Center (2025). I've had several high profile repairs done with the shop ( brakes, engine oil leaks, crankshaft oil seal replace, Transmission oil cooler pipes removed and replace, and today, replace the radiator). I found their technicians to be highly train and professional knowledgeable of their work. What ever they tell you the problem is with the vehicle, THAT is the PROBLEM ‼️. The front office staff (Ms Bee) explain in full detail the diagnosis and cost of the repair. Which makes it easier to have the work done. They have the customers in mind : honest days work for honest day pay. No browbeating, hacking, or undercutting the work to keep you coming back for the same issue ‼️ My daughter and my son in law are also life customers‼️. I went in for a full synthetic oil changed. They had a special for $39.95 oil change(regular oil changed I found out after going in; but the price I was charged was still reasonable) The service was very fast. I don’t think it even took 45 minutes & Ms Bee asked me how long it usually takes for an oil change? I said 1, 2, sometimes even 3 hours at the Dealership I usually go to. They have a customer for life. Ms. Bee also was super nice. I will recommend them to my family and friends. 😊
