I was treated with respect. Friendly service…it takes a long time for my car to blow out cool air. The circulating button along with the snow flake button seems to make it hotter when it should make it cooler. It works but takes awhile to blow cool air

My MB engine was not starting or turning over when I put the key in. I called Phil’s and they let me know when to bring it in and when they could start looking at it, based on their work schedule. I appreciated that. They kept in contact with me during the process advising of their findings and progress. I appreciated that. When I finally went to pick up my vehicle they were very honest and more than fair in the charges. I can’t be more pleased with the service I receive here, the honesty and relationship I am building with the owner. Thank you Phil’s and Bryan. I also drive 45 mins (from the high desert) to bring my vehicle to Phil’s as I trust them.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have a 2020 kia, 2nd owner. All started to go wrong, I was over 60,000 miles so nothing was covered under warranty. Not only did they fix my issues, they had to do a lot of research to do it and had ro bug kia to get the right part to do it....I really appreciate them, and it didn't break my pocket!!!

My father-in-law recommended Phil‘s auto clinic for my Prius because he said they were Prius experts. They were very professional and definitely are Prius experts. I highly recommend them if you have Prius problems or probably any car issues.

Had a really good, stress free experience with Bryan at Phils Auto Clinic. They were able to do what I needed at an affordable cost, as well as, diagnose another problem with my car and gave me solutions with out confusion or hassle. I feel he was honest and reasonable as well as super compassionate about how stressful car issue can be and I will definitely be going back in the future as well as recommending this business.

I WON'T recommend this place. They would not do a smog check on my vehicle. They recommended another place that was a total scam!!! So I see this place as part of the scam as well. I should have noticed that the shop is NEVER busy when I drive by. A successful shop would have an abundance of business since thier reputation precedes them. Their prices are also much higher than they should be. Calling them I found them to be considerably (unreasonable) higher than other shops. Always check out the ratings of a business. Make sure you are looking at current ratings not some that are 2-5 years or more old. They might have been a great place 5 years ago but perhaps no longer have the same staff. If a shop looks empty beware maybe they no longer have a good reputation. Let's review something I missed. Phil's DID smog checks at one time. When a shop stops it's usually because it was not allowed to continue for some reason. LOSING accreditation to do smog checks is a big deal! I did go in and get a smog check more than once! Things were repaired each time costing $$$$. Perhaps there was a problem and they lost accreditation because the State of CA does check out a business. I have always found their estimates higher than any other shops.

This guy seems like a crook. My car was at my regular mechanic less than 500 miles ago. It started making a funny noise and this place was closer and i went off the Google reviews and just came here instead. He tells me i need new coolant...umm that was replaced by my regular mechanic less than 500 miles ago. He tells me i need new shocks once again those were just recently replaced. He tells me I need like 10k worth of work on a car that just left my regular mechanic less than 500 miles ago who said everything is great. He charges $1000 to replace one wheel bearing...i Google that and see it should be like $400. Then i get suspicious about what should be a $400 bill and he's saying all this stuff is broken and I read the yelp reviews and they're not quite as flattering and more in line with the experience I'm having so far. People saying he pads the bills and breaks stuff on their cars. I don't understand why Google gives this place a 4.7 unless they're not verifying the reviews based on my experimence so far and the yelp reviews. If my car is tampered with I'm going to BAR and the district attorneys office. It was just at a reputable mechanic less than 500 miles ago. I can see a wheel bearing going bad but not my whole car falling apart. This is seeming like a huge mistake on my part but that was based on Google reviews that I'm wonder if they're even real. The yelp reviews are painting a much different picture that seems to be more in line with what I'm experiencing.

This is the second time I had Phil's Auto do repairs on my vehicles. This time was very extensive, valves, head gaskets, and timing chain.Everything was done in a timely manner. The truck now runs like a new one and will pass smog no problem. I'm very happy to recommend Phil's Auto for all repairs.I will use them for the maintenance of all my vehicles. Brian went out of his way on his day off to finish everything. They are the best. I had trouble with my AC ALL SUMMER, then I finally took myself here after setting an appointment and got it fixed in one day. I'm really into cars and I have a sports car so getting it fixed easily by them was such a win. Everyone there was so nice and helpful and just really accomodating too. Their pricing was completely fair as well and I'm definitely coming back for future issues. Thank you!!

READ THIS!!! BEWARE OF DISHONESTY WHEN GOING TO PHILS! THIS CAN SAVE YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!!!! - ( This is actually a 20 minute job, the blower is directly under the glovebox which requires a screw driver to pop of 3-4 tabs, then remove 3 screws from the blower unplug then reverse the process) - I took my vehicle in for the AC blower motor because it wasn't working like it should. It was really weak and then it stopped working. They diagnosed it and told me it would be $1,960 to repair, WHICH I KNEW IMMEDIATELY WAS EXTREMELY HIGH! I return to pick up the vehicle and miraculously the blower was working. So this got my wheels turning and I called another mechanic to get an estimate and he asked me over the phone when was the last time I replaced the cabin filter? I said you know what I totally forgot about the cabin filter it has been a while since I changed it. He said that can cause the blower motor to seem like it's bad but it just not getting the airflow that it needs to operate. HE SUGGESTED THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE PULLED OUT THE FILTER AND PUT IT BACK IN AND THAT ENABLED THE AIRFLOW TO KICK BACK ON. So I drove down to Walmart and SPENT $13 AND REPLACED THE CABIN FILTER. Problem solved. What happened to decent honest mechanics? ALSO THAT PRICE IS OUTRAGEOUS COMPARED TO OTHER PLACES ****Update and Response to Phil's auto clinic***** I indeed did look at the invoice you provided. And it reads that you want to access cabin filter remove and clean tray of debris and reassemble with new filter perform refresh services. THESE ARE THINGS THAT YOU DID NOT VERBALLY MENTION. And I had to read them on my own. This is something that you should have mentioned but failed to. Also after seeing another mechanic it isn't losing power it was only losing power because the filter was clogged which was an easy fix. You could have easily suggested but we're more eager to get $1,960.91 instead of suggesting a simple fix. SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE HONEST MECHANICS THAT DON'T TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMERS AND REPLACE THINGS THAT DON'T NEED TO BE REPLACED YET. You were trying to take advantage of the lack of knowledge that people have in mechanics to further your own benefit. Yes you are a for-profit business but unnecessary repairs versus a simple fix is something that you are not found in your business on instead you choose to prey on others.

Amazing service, good price and super convenient. I showed up early hoping to squeeze in, and was happy that when one person didn't show up, my car was serviced quickly and efficiently with good communication all along the way regarded what they found and what it would cost. I am impressed also that they do prioritize their appointments because that is in integrity. In fact I would say that from what I've seen, this company has good integrity overall. Thank you!

I took my f one fifty king ranch here. It had a problem starting when it got hot. They told me my truck needed a new fuse panel. That was a $400 part and that instead of replacing it they said I should total my truck out. They told me it would be Eight hundred dollars to replace the fuse panel. It's about a thirty minute job tops. Just to look at my truck they charged me two hundred and twenty dollars. Then I found out that one of the employees was taking my truck home. I had taken it through a car wash before I dropped it off and I got it back covered in mud. Apparently it was being offroaded. I will never bring a car here again. P.S. It ended up being a bad Starter. A wire had a bad soldier. It took 2 minutes to fix.

READ THIS!!! BEWARE OF DISHONESTY WHEN GOING TO PHILS! This shop was recommended to us by another shop because we have a hybrid kia. Our main battery was dead and it cost $15K to get a new one. This shop recommended that we could buy a refurbished one for like $2,400 or something like that. We went ahead with it trusting them. The place they used took 2 MONTHS to get us our battery back and our car to us. The warranty was, I think 60 days. Phil's even told me they would never use that company again. So, they had us go with a terrible company and they knew it. A couple of weeks go by and then randomly the same HVAC light goes off and on just like when the battery was no good. I would call phil's and tell them so they could put it on record to help us out if needed every time it happened. They said they couldn't do that, they wouldn't record it. This kept on happening over and over and no codes would pop up. I even took it to them to check it out several times and they couldn't figure it out. They sent a code reader home and nothing. I had to drop the car off another time and they charge to diagnose your car. Even if you go forward with them fixing it, they don't deduct the fee to diagnose. I have had to bring my car home with no diagnosis and paid the diagnosis fee to them. Now the car is completely dead. They will not help and DO NOT care that they took so much money and time from us. Our response is that we have to tow the car to them because it's dead and pay the diagnosis fee and that's it. Why would we do this? Find another shop. These guys are terrible!

Had AAA tow my car here. I was in a pinch and thought I'd give this place a try. Ridiculously overpriced. I do not recommend and will definitely not be returning.Just under 1K to replace a alternator. I believe that says it all. 10/10/2025

My air conditioning wasn't working. I heard about the cool air rebate program, and I called to see if I qualified for it. My car takes the wrong kind of freon, but I called and spoke to Bryan, and he said he would do the diagnostic at a very fair price. When I realized that my wiring harness was broken, I took it to him, and he had someone fix it for me while I waited. It still cost me about the same amount of money that I would have paid for the diagnostic, and the repair was done wonderfully! If you know someone who has A/C problems, see the attached photos and call the number on the card.

I took my Toyota RAV4 to Phil's Auto Clinic, Inc. for rear shock replacements and was charged over $1,150. I chose this shop mainly because it is close to my home. After the repair, the original rattling noise from the rear of the vehicle was still present as soon as I left the shop. The issue was not resolved. When I returned to ask them to verify whether the shocks were installed correctly or whether the original problem had been misdiagnosed, I was told I would have to pay an additional $184 to have them inspect it again. I was not asking for a new repair - I was asking them to confirm that the work I already paid for addressed the issue. Being charged again to recheck the same concern felt unreasonable. In addition, I was presented with multiple repair recommendations during the first visit that I declined. Overall, I left disappointed. I paid a premium price, and the original problem remains unresolved. When a customer spends over $1,100 on a repair, and the issue persists, a follow-up inspection should not incur an additional diagnostic fee. I expected accountability, not another charge.
