I am extremely disappointed with the service I received here. My ac went out a day ago and it has been miserable driving in this heat without it. I came to Polar based on a recommendation from a mechanic and the mostly good reviews I saw. The hours said 9-5 so I called the same day but couldn’t get anyone on the phone so I came by right at opening time the next day. The location was kind of hard to find because it is sandwiched in between a battery shop and another auto place and there really wasn’t anywhere to park once I got there. The man who came out to meet me (I assume was the owner) asked me what I needed. I told him about my ac and he told me to come back after 11:30am or noon because he was only doing inspections in the morning. So, I left and then drove all the way back out there right at 11:30 per his instruction only to find no one there. I had to ask the battery shop next door where he was, and was told that he had just left and probably wasn’t coming back the rest of the day. Frustrated at having wasted my time, I called the shop and spoke with the owner asking again about having my ac looked at. He then told me that today wasn’t a good day to look at it but to come back tomorrow. This was not what I wanted to hear, especially after he had just told me to come back later the same day only to just leave. So now I’m stuck having to try to get the dealer to fix it, which is infinitely more expensive, and I’m still driving around in a hot car. Thanks for nothing. I will not recommending this place to anyone in the future.

The AC in our daughter’s car went out and we called Polar. He got us in immediately and found out what the problem was. After the repair was made the final price ended up being cheaper than the quote. AC is working great!

Vance is the man, he was able to diagnose my vehicle , was able to buy the parts and correct my issue on my 2005 pathfinder under 3 hours I’m a bit paranoid with bringing my car to anyone, but after a friend recommended polar auto a/c, I had to give them a chance. The 1 year labor warranty was good enough for me to bring my car to get repaired with them After Vance did his magic, my a/c blows super cold #1 I would highly recommend polar auto A/C to anyone with a/c problems, Vance is definitely doing something right Mahalo

Highly recommend Polar AC if you have any kind of AC troubles. I had my compressor go out on my 2015 canyon after only 80K miles. The Polar team were able to track down a OEM unit and had installed in one day. A/C now runs colder than it ever has. Very grateful and will recommend to everyone I know.

Vance holds up the business well, is mechanic save me a couple hundred. They allowed me to buy an aftermarket pump but the alignment of one of the aluminum lines add some tricky alignment problems I thank God that they solved them. That was 3 years ago and that Mazda is still running today without any air conditioning problems which has made the new owner very happy 😇🇺🇸🙏😁

Went in this morning to get my car inspected since today is the last day before my sticker expire. I was in and out faster than the other places I've visited. The owner is professional and courteous so I will definitely come back again. P.S It's best to go early in the morning as soon as they open up for business it's less traffic and more available parking spaces since it's right next to Battery Bills.

If you're in need of quality auto a/c repair at a fair price, I can absolutely recommend Polar Auto A/C. When my son's 2016 Nissan Altima's a/c began to slowly lose it's cool, I'm glad I stumbled across Polar Auto A/C. I'd never needed auto a/c work on Oahu before, so I had to rely on the reviews available to choose a shop near me. Vance--the owner--proved to be as honest and capable as others had said. The shop is "no frills", and parking is a little tight, but an honest mechanic who cares about giving his customers their money's worth (and then some) is worth his weight in gold! Thank You Vance!

This place is great. I have been having AC problems for a while now, with another place not able to find the issue. They were able to get me in shortly after calling them and then diagnosed the issue in a few minutes. They were able to replace my broken AC motor in about 30 minutes. I was in and out with a fixed AC in under 40 minutes. The mechanic was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them if you need help with your AC.

Vance and Keith did an amazing job, great customer service. I initially went to them for my ac system recharge since I had replaced the air compressor myself to save myself some money. Vance notified me that they needed to replace a part so the ac system would work properly. Vance was honest and prompt gave me a great price. Service was done right the first time and it’s been a couple of months now and my ac is still cold and running great. I went back a second time for my safety inspection that was due and again received excellent customer service and care. I brought my second vehicle to them as well. Plus referred my friends to their services. They have gained a return customer. I will be coming back here for all my ac repairs and safety. Thank you!🙏🏼
