If I were able to do so, I’d be leaving a score higher than a 5 here. Outstanding customer service, fair prices, transparency on costs and communication, reasonable time frames for work, and a realistic estimation for everything required. That’s not even including how kind the staff and owner were, which I’d gladly give an even higher rating if I could. I am beyond impressed with this establishment and I only regret not knowing them sooner. "I've always brought my vehicles to Precision Auto Tune for services, but my recent visit with my girlfriend's car was disappointing. While I appreciate the quality of their work, the experience at the front desk today was lacking. The staff member seemed overwhelmed and not very helpful, which made the process frustrating, especially on a rainy day when we were waiting for quite a while. I believe they could benefit from having a more educated multitasker at the counter who can handle the rush without getting flustered. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, which is why I’m giving a two-star rating. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future."

I came here for an inspection and my rear signal light was out. They quoted me $60 to change the light blub, plus the $30 for the inspection. They wouldn't give me the paperwork so I could take pictures. I told them to give me my car back and I'll do it myself. It so sad when place try and take advantage of you. 🤬

We were unfortunately referred to this auto shop by Jiffy Lube, and from the beginning, our experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I worked with Tonya throughout the process, and as a younger woman living on my own, I was cautious—aware that some repair shops may try to take advantage of people in my situation. Thankfully, I involved my Dad early on, which revealed that they were attempting to overcharge me by nearly $2,000 for unnecessary repairs. Despite keeping my vehicle for two weeks, no actual work was done—they claimed they were still “waiting on parts,” yet offered no real updates or progress. Tonya became increasingly unhelpful and rude as the process dragged on. It took over a week just to receive a breakdown of the diagnostics and recommendations, which turned out to be inaccurate. She also repeatedly misrepresented what the dealership had said needed to be fixed—claims we verified directly with the dealership and found to be completely false. When we confronted her about the inflated charges and misinformation, she abruptly ended communication, stating they no longer wanted to work with us. To make matters worse, they refused to refund the $300 we paid for a diagnostic test that led to no repairs or results. I strongly caution others to avoid this shop—our experience was not only frustrating but felt deliberately deceptive. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Went in for a brake service and an oil change. Tonya made sure I was taken care of and explained in detail how bad my rotors actually were. My oil change was done quickly by the guy in the first bay i watched him as he worked on my car and he was very fast and thorough. I'm still kind of confused...I had 2 phone conversations with the manager...Tanya...and I'm not too sure why both times... she was very short with me ...almost sounding rude. Then I went to bring my car in to get it put on the diagnostic machine and they said it had a blown head gasket!!! So when getting my car to bring it to another facility...I was told it was NOT a blown head gasket...but just needed spark plugs. Its really sad because I have been going there since 2013. I did not like the customer service with that Manager. I reported the rudeness to one of the guys working in the shop. So I hope she does better because she will lose customers.

I took my vehicle in for repairs on November 19, 2025. When I received a call saying my vehicle was fixed on December 1, 2025 all of my personal belongings were missing from my vehicle. Everything was taken even down to the vent clips! When I called I was told there was nothing they could do to help me. There was no damage to any windows, locks or doors. My vehicle was left UNLOCKED and they don't feel as though they are responsible. BE CAREFUL TRUSTING THIS SHOP WITH YOUR VEHICLE!

Took my vehicle to get a Diagnostic and was told I needed the test for my spark plus done before they could diagnose it. I Went through with the spark plug change and requested an oil change and upon picking my car he said the fix made a huge difference “it indeed did not” and they failed to explain any further after paying almost 1,000 just for nothing. Also had another technician break down the paperwork they gave a it’s been brought to my attention that I was charged for things that weren’t done.

Took my car in because it was jerking during acceleration on Sat Dec 26th. They didn't have a tech so told us to drop it off Sun night so it can be looked at on Monday. They open at 8 an so by Monday at noon when I didn't hear anything they didn't even check the mail slot and didn't even look at the vehicle. Told me it will be looked at by Tuesday morning. On Tuesday still didn't hear anything by 12 pm so I called and the receptionist was very rude and nasty and stated they couldn't duplicate the problem. I said why didn't anyone call me? So I went to pick up my car they basically blew me off. As soon as I drove off the lot my car was doing the same thing. I felt like they didn't even care or even was concerned.

Over several years I have brought a string of vehicles ranging in need from battery and tire repair to engine replacements. I have even rolled up in a 1999 Grand Marquis with a Check Engine light on. In each and every case, Tanya the manager and Keith the front desk service writer have been welcoming, knowledgeable, fair and enthusiastic about working to get the mechanical issue resolved correctly, quickly and at an affordable price. Many times they call me once their diagnosis is complete, to discuss issues, timelines, alternative options impacting cost and delivery; working with me to get the vehicle back on the road in the most efficient timeframe and for the lowest price. Tanya is a committed, trusted partner to any customer who walks through the door. Regarding the 1999, Grand Marquis, Precision had the car out the door in a few hours with the problem solved, which involved dropping the gas tank and replacing a 25 year old connector part which they searched the area for, located and had rushed to the shop; all while I sat enjoying the bustling waiting area, drinking coffee and thinking , I might bring them a Ford Model T car to work on with total confidence. Bottom line: there are many car repair places in Wilmington and many people are new to the area. PLEASE NOTE: you can Always bring your vehicles to Precision with confidence, knowing you will receive expert service, the highest quality of work, the best reliable parts and a price that is completely fair. And throughout the entire repair process, you can count on Keith’s friendly customer service and Dr Tanya, explaining the diagnosis results and the plan, the timeframe and the actual cost of the repair. There are no games here. Just straight up, knowledgeable, friendly service where the customer is always treated like a valuable friend and the mechanic work is exemplary.

Been coming here for years for regular maintenance. Things has changed since Josh left the store. The customer service and overall leadership has just went down hill. Today I come in around around 10 40 ish to get a coolant flush but first see if they can take a look at before doing so. It took a hour and a half to have a "qualified technician" use his eyes to scan my car which only took 5 mins. When he was done because I was right there he said he couldn't speak further and had to give the paperwork for the guys to talk to me about. They want to charge me for a scanning basically after waiting that long when they could've said from the beginning they were short staffed today. To then, tell me I need a diagnostics ran for the cooling system that'll even take much longer. Mind you a week ago, I had a simple oil change where they recommended I come back for a coolant flush because it was a Saturday and they didn't have the time....Now for some reason my check engine light is on. Sometimes dealerships humble you and remind you that the dealership is worth spending more. Here, I thought it was great customer service while serving the community with quality. I may not be much of a client. But I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere. This shop was a gem to me and great service. Now, it's ran down and a joke. ChatGPT is better at solutions then this place.
