Needed a tire change promptly after a friend pointed out I had been driving with a couple tires with poor treading. While dealing with the tires, they also identified that my front brakes were worn out. Gave me several options for both tires and brakes and explained the pros and cons of each. Also found a nail on another one of my tires with explains the repeated flat tires. Everything was handled within a couple of hours impressively.

So I came to Lai's auto service in need of some serious work, and let me tell you they did not disappoint. I met Andrew the mechanic and he was very polite, honest and straight forward. He let me know of a lot of problems I didn't know I had and previously I was going to another shop but they were just taking my money. Andrew helped me out and explained everything with details and ways I could understand. It was a great experience overall and the prices were good and they are quick and efficient with the work I definitely recommend.

New owner but same great service. I normally come here for my annual inspection because they are honest. They can get quite busy so it’s best to come earlier in the day if possible. I’ve had suspension work down here and they do a great job and stand by their work.

I went in to get my NY Inspection completed, and also get an oil change, and they were super friendly and quick. When I came back, my car did not pass due to an issue with the breaks, which made sense as they breaks did feel off recently. I was given several unbiased options on how it could be taken care of, and I decided to come back the next day to get everything fixed by them. They even topped off some fluids, and gave me some info on some future work that may be needed, but was not a pressing matter at the time. I will definitely be coming back here for regular oil changes and any future service!!! I also love the fact that you can pick up after the shop is closed through the gas station attendant, as I usually work past them closing. They are very friendly, communicative, and did what they could to work with me. Thank you again!!!

Today I went to see Andrew and had two shocks and one oil seal replaced. The price was the best I’ve found in Queens. Their service attitude is also the best I’ve ever experienced—nothing like those other repair shops that try to trick you. These guys are truly professional when it comes to car repairs. If you live in Queens, I highly recommend bringing your car here. They can replace all kinds of parts, do oil changes, brakes, and tires. The staff speaks English, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin, which makes communication super convenient. What really impressed me was their honesty, speed, and attention to detail. No upselling, no nonsense—just solid, trustworthy work at a fair price. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

My friend has a tire falling off after tire serviced at this shop. He spent $2,000 to fix the damages. Luckily he was driving in a local street. He and I found 3 lug nuts on the street later. It was so rediculous.

Andrew has been my mechanic since I've had my license, even before this new shop. Always straight the point, always timely, always fair, no up-selling, gives good recommendations (I will NEVER get tires from anywhere else or tire recommendations from anywhere! Even if he retires I will only go to him for what tires to get!) and allows me to be a car owner without the added stress of having to deal drown in car troubles. Today I decided to leave a review because whenever other people talk about their car problems or autoshop horror stories I am eternally grateful that my mechanic/auto shop has been nothing short of *perfect* and accommodating.
