I had been bringing my car--2004 Hyundai Elantra-- to this place because it was so cheap and the staff were friendly. However, after some time I noticed some rather glaring issues that I could no longer overlook and stopped returning to them: 1) They are terrible at keeping you updated when they say they will. 2) They aren't the best mechanics, and can even botch the simplest tasks. When I went there, they botched an oil change, and my car leaked out most of its oil and it was left stranded at my parents' place. Granted, the owner of the shop said that if it caused any engine damage, they would have replaced it, and he also came all the way over to the house to fix the oil change. They also installed a defective part when they replaced my timing belt, causing a small leak, so they replaced that at no cost. They also never were able to properly figure out my car's emissions problems, so I had to keep bringing it back in over and over again. I also just found out from another mechanic that they installed crappy brake pads--they are the hard long lasting kind--but they were so hard that they've been damaging my drums this whole time so now I'm going to need to replace both my drums and back brake pads in order to pass my next safety and emissions. I honestly should have stopped going to them earlier. While they are nice people, are honest and are super cheap, you DO get what you pay for, and in the long run, you pay for it through the nose with being inconvenienced from having to bring your car in multiple times and paying for the same issues to have to be fixed again by someone else. I'm sorry to say it, but these people are incompetent. :(

This place is amazing! When I lived in Provo I would always go there for oil changes and any other maintenance needs. I now live in Ogden and I will make the drive down for most repairs because the cost is so much lower than any other shop. Even with gas prices as high as they are currently, I still save money including the cost of gas to drive down there. The people are very friendly and helpful. I was having several leaks on one vehicle that I knew was at least transmission fluid and oil so I took it in. They gave it a thorough look over and then actually brought me back into the shop to show me all of the issues and exactly what would need to be done to fix it with a cost break down. So many other shops have told me I have certain issues and I just have to take their word for it. Highly recommend Provo Car Medic!

Really nice, fair mechanic. He never tries to up sell you on anything. They’ll get your car fixed quickly for a good price. UPDATE: I still take my car here. It's been about three years now. Alberto is such a great guy, a great mechanic. He's willing to work with your schedule and gives you great service. Update: took my car to Jiffy Lube today... it sucked.

I always appreciate when a business does more than they need to do. I took my car to Provo Car Medic for an oil change because it’s right down the street and the service was so quick and affordable that I brought our other car over for an oil change a few days later. While I was getting the second oil change, I asked them to give me a quote on our broken windshield wiper, and a couple minutes later they came back in and told me that it was a simple fix so they just did it free of charge. We will definitely be coming back for future repairs and maintenance!

These guys are awesome. To start they know what they are talking about and exactly what to do. Very trustworthy employees that are all very friendly. My truck is always in and out of there extremely quick and they communicate with me exactly whats happening. Best shop in provo. Also the prices are the best they get things done efficiently and keep costs very low. I've gone to them many times over the past few years and every time I am very impressed. No complaints here. My personal experience was great with them. My friend would always talk about how he got most if not all of his services done there. I'm a guy that can typically work on my car and I had bought new brake rotors and pads but couldn't get them to get loose or anything. I called them up and they priced me at a very reasonable price and I needed my E-brake to work and they did that with an additional cost of course but it was a great service for the price. All together was around $200 and they worked on it for a few hours which I expected because I couldn't even do it myself so PROPS to Provo Car Medic. No business is perfect but for me I've had no issues. Give it a try and then judge it. Learn if its the place for you to go or not. Some shops are obviously better than others. Great people and services for great prices for exceptional work.

These guys are seriously the best. I went in for an alignment and it was done quickly. They charge a fair price as well. However, the next day I noticed my steering wheel was off. I brought my truck back and they took it in to look at it. They looked at my front end and noticed that a bolt holding my steering rack in place became loose. They showed me in the shop and fixed it without any extra fee or charge. I came back the next day for another alignment and I was good to go. I highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for honest mechanics who are seriously helping people out. I will be coming here again for whatever else my truck needs. update: i took my truck in for a complete brake service. the mechanic reached out to me and let me know of additional issues my truck had, and again they were clear, honest, and transparent with their prices!! i highly recommend this place.

Had a bent control arm, they ordered the part and fixed it. They made some suggestions for other maintenance, but weren’t too pushy about it. I said I did NOT want to get an oil change or air filter replaced, and they did both anyway. I guess they just didn’t understand me. Added an extra $100 to what I paid. Fortunately I told them not to change the oil over text, so after confronting them they gave me 30% off. Glad I could at least get that, but still disappointed.
