Was told by a different shop, where I had just gotten my oil changed, that I had a transmission leak. I went here to check it out and was immediately told that they lied. Showed me that there wasn’t a leaked and that they didn’t tighten the oil filter. They fixed and cleaned it up for me. In and out under 10. Definitely going back for any future issues.

UBER DRIVER PIT STOP!!! Uber drivers in need of quick service or help getting your car back up and running for work this is definitely the place to go. Mario the head mechanic has treated me like family since the first time I came for repairs. No nonsense no extra charges. Was able to pin point my exact problems within a hour or two the two times I been there. Offers his service and price and also advises when something is simple where you can fix it yourself. I've been with Mario for more than 20 years. I live in Cardiff and I've followed him from El Cajon to El Cajon Blvd to National City. Why? Because I trust him, he knows his stuff and he is less expensive. If you get a bid for major work especially, you would do welI to call him for a quote and I bet his quote will be less costly than the others. More portant though is the great quality of service that he gives! I have had mechanical problems that a local qualified mechanic couldn't figure out, and in minutes Mario knows what's wrong. He never recommends services you don't need. He is a great diagnostician. He knows all phases of automotive service. All his mechanics do great work and if they need him, he is there working right along side of them. It's a family affair as his wife Julia who is very nice, keeps the books and the office running smoothly. Mario also goes to auctions and finds great cars for resale. He goes through the car from bumper to bumper, completely before he puts them up for sale. I have bought 2 autos over the years from Mario and they were very reliable cars. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I had the BEST experience from this place. I was referred by a friend and was not expecting such amazing service! Mario was able to fix my car last minute and help save me from wasting thousands of dollars at a dealership to take 4 days!! He did it in one! Great mechanic! Quality Auto went above and beyond to complete my repair on short notice. I shipped my car from Hawaii and picked it up from the port on a Friday. I could tell it needed repairs before driving cross country Monday. They got me in on Saturday and stayed open late to complete my diagnostic and repair. Fairly priced and great customer service. They walked me through what was wrong and didn’t charge me for anything I didn’t need. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else if I lived in San Diego! Lucky I found them!

If you want a mechanic that not only is as capable as it gets, but is also genuine and honest. Then this is your shop. Mario has rebuilt my entire v8 engine and brought my car back to life. They are always accommodating wether you are doing a full engine build or just getting your breaks done, these are your guys. VERY experienced, GREAT value, and EXTREMELY TIMELY SERVICE! Had my car break down on the last day of our road trip from Pennsylvania; we were going to ship the car the same day no later than 4 PM in Long beach. It was Friday, so the shipping company closed until Monday, and we already had tickets back to the East coast that same day. Had a bunch of appointments and had to clean and move out of the east coast house by the next Wednesday so there was about zero wiggle room in needing to ship this car since I’m in the military and we’re moving overseas. Long story short car breaks down at 9 am on that Friday and we’re told they could maybe work on it at 1 pm since they’re rebuilding 2 engines. I get the car towed there and they look at it and it’s a difficult part, but they were kind enough to drop what they were doing and search extensively for the right part. They were able to accommodate my situation and fixed the car by a little after noon. With traffic, I made it to Long beach by 3:30, and was able to make my flight and ship my car. I honestly believe it’s a miracle I brought my car to them and I had virtually no time to spare and would have been unable to bring the car to anybody else without having to significantly affect my move and most likely would have suffered extreme hardship from the poor timing of this breakdown. The second best part is they didn’t wring me dry even though I was in an extremely vulnerable position. I could simply not recommend them more. THANK YOU!

The team here at Quality Auto Repair does a lot more than just repair! They offer all sorts of services including giving expert advice at an UNBEATABLE price. They are husband and wife owned and operated and treated me with respect and grace. I didn't have the money to do all the repairs at once, and it was recommended to me to do one at a time. The owner directed me to used auto parts stores and other services required for my vehicle. Overall, I'd highly recommend this establishment for all of your car care needs. They are honest, fast, and extremely hard working. Payment was simple and easy. If your car needs to run, drive, and look like new- Quality Auto is the place for you. 5 stars. The diagnosis was a reasonable 130$ and took about an hour and was surprisingly thorough. 👍
