I have brought my car in twice to Quality Transmission Service. The first time, I called, they test drove it and fixed the minor issue for free. A few months later, I had gotten my brakes done at another mechanic and afterwards I had this horrible grinding noise. I had no clue what was going on in my car and was afraid there was something wrong with the transmission. I called, and even without an appointment, they test drove my car that very morning. They found the an issue was human error from the other mechanic and not related to the transmission, but they fixed it anyway and only charged me $30 (it was an easy fix apparently). My car runs great now. Pat and his wife are really knowledgeable and explain exactly what was happening with my car. As someone who knows little about cars, I am thankful that they were honest and fair with their diagnosis of the car. Everything was professional and timely and I am very appreciative that they could get me in even without an appointment. I would high recommend this place!

Excellent business. I had an issue with the rebuilt transmission a little over a year after Quality put it in. Gary fixed it again even though we were over the warranty coverage mileage. Great, honest costumer service. Plus a cute little friendly dog is in the waiting area on some days.

I work for a transmission shop in Baldwin County Alabama, one of Gary's customers was down here for vacation and had an issue with a transmission he recently repaired. The issue with the transmission was a failure that could not have been predicted, simply a part failure. The technicians here at our shop complimented on how professional the installation of the transmission was performed with everything in place down to the last bolt and harness connection. After the issues were diagnosed Gary put the customer's needs first, took care of everything for the customer and we were able to get them back up and running smoothly and quickly. Gary's approach to an out of town repair and the quality of the work his shop performed speaks volumes. As an employee of transmission shop that puts customers and quality above all else it's great to see another who does the same. My experience with Quality Transmission has been excellent. I’d been having transmission issues and it was determined, as I suspected, that I’d need a new transmission. I was prepared to be without a car for a several days but the shop was able to turn it around in under 48 hours. A few months later, an issue presented that caused a leak. These guys stand by their work! Over the phone and in person, they went above and beyond to be accommodating and honored their warranty without hesitation. I could not be more satisfied with how the issue was handled. I’ll be a customer for life.

My van’s transmission started to have issues on a Saturday. I took it to my mechanic and he ran the diagnostics. After saying uh oh, oh no, ohhhhhh noooooooo, he let me know that the transmission was throwing a ton of codes. They don’t work on transmissions and recommended a shop to me. I did a little research and decided on Quality transmissions instead. I dropped it off on Tuesday and they confirmed what I already knew, that the transmission needed to rebuilt. The amount quoted was pricey and they offered to put in a transmission for a discounted price if I wanted to order my own. I decided on letting them put in theirs as they have a pretty good warranty. They told me it would be done by Friday but they called Thursday to say the work was finished! I picked it up and I have to say the car is running better than when I purchased the car in 2018! I will definitely be coming back here for service. Thanks to a great team!

My experience with Auto transmission shops has been dismal. I finally resorted to factory rebuilt exchange units. My SnapOn dealer recommended Quality. 2 minutes in their shop and I knew these guys are the real deal. Had them do a TH350, 700R4 and a 6L80. All 3 were outstanding. This shop can be trusted.

Got my transmission replaced. took it back for check up. They said everything was good. I had been smelling a burning smell thinking it just burn off from them working on the car. It was still there a week later so I brought it back in and he said it was the coolant and that it wasn't on them. Be ready for another bill to replace your radiator if you have Quality Transmission work on your car

Dropped my Ford F-150 off for a standard transmission service and rear end flush. Maintenance was completed, and were quickly notified that the truck was ready for pickup. That afternoon, before closing, the bill was paid and keys were picked up. Due to logistical reasons, the truck would be picked up later that night, after the shop had closed. This is where the experience with Quality Transmission went sour. Upon arriving to pick up the vehicle later that night, we come to find out the driver side windshield wiper assembly was completely sheared off, and now sitting on the floorboards in the passenger seat. There was no mention of this whatsoever when the bill was paid. This was caused by the shop trying to clear the windshield of multiple inches of snow / ice the night before, without making any effort to clear off the window first. A call was made the following day to see why there was no mention of this broken windshield wiper assembly, and to see if there would be any reimbursement for the damage that was caused due to their laziness. Examples of some statements made by the employee over the phone included: “We forgot to tell you about this when we saw you yesterday.” “I don’t see how this is our problem.” “Well, it is an old truck.” After around 10 minutes of back and forth about the issue, no resolution was offered. The complete and total lack of ownership, in addition to the nonchalant attitude given over the phone was astounding. Needless to say, we will not be going back for any future work, and will be sure to tell all friends and family how this issue was handled.

I brought my car here after being referred from century tire, to “make sure it wasn’t transmission related” before they did another repair. They drove my car around the block and then called to tell me I needed a new transmission and it would be $8000. Of course I had to get a second and third opinion which both said my transmission was fine! Was quality transmission trying to take advantage of a young single woman by charging her for a new transmission and then selling her old used one? I can’t say for sure, but I will never return to or recommend quality transmission.

Quality was recommended by my auto shop, and I appreciated the diagnosis and work needed. The quick guess (“my guys” did a quick favor for me looking at it while it was failing) was the transmission and recommended Quality. Quality determined that it wasn’t the transmission, and fixed the other parts. Appreciated them keeping me posted during the process and explaining all details. I rarely write reviews, but Gary and his team did such a great job, I have to share my experience. After SIX months on a wait list with one local Ford dealer who eventually said “drop it off and we’ll get to it when we get to it” and a second Ford dealer charging $300 for a diagnostic report on my 2017 Ford Raptor that only said “technician recommends replacing engine and transmission for $24K” Gary and his team quickly found the root cause, came up with a plan, and did the repairs at a fraction of the cost. Quality Transmissions was professional, thorough, and responsive from start to finish. I’ve always taken my vehicles to the actual dealer for service, thinking that was the best path to ensure everything would be done right. I learned a valuable lesson, and Quality Transmissions has earned my trust and my future business.

Jerry thinks hes a know it all. He can swap out a transmission but dont ask him to fix one. He is just a glorified installer not a knowledgeable mechanic. He diagnosised that I need a transmission in less than 20 seconds on the phone. I took my truck to an actual mechanic. Avoid the this sideshow.

Excellent service! After getting referred here from several random people there is no where else I’d take my truck for diesel/trasnmission service. Gary is full of knowledge and easy to talk to. The rest of the technicians are equally as professional. Best shop in the Midwest…? Quite possible. Side note, they are BUSY! Please be patient at times when calling or scheduling.
