Professional and efficient service at a very reasonable price. Very patient with questions and articulate with answers. In addition to routine maintenance, provided several suggestions to keeping my 25 year old vehicle functional for the next 25 years. Invaluable mechanic and staff!!!

Brought my 2019 BMW X3 to these guys to get my front Brake pads, rotors, oil change & oil filter changed and they did not disappoint. The price was way more affordable than everyone else i was quoted by Like a lot!!! They had my beamer back to me within 6 hours and the inspection they provide is very thorough. My beamer drives smooth with no more noise in the breaks and the day after I had a few questions about some things and they cleared it up right away & explained everything. Very friendly staff & high quality customer service & work. I can see why my whole family takes all their cars to this place. They just got themselves another loyal customer. Thank you ladies & gentleman! 🙂

I’ve been coming to S-Point for a while because they’ve consistently done good work and the staff have always been friendly. However, the wait times have gotten out of hand. There’s no communication when you arrive, no one comes out to greet you or give an update on how long the wait might be. On my last visit, I sat for over an hour before anyone let me know the car ahead of me would be there for another three hours. That kind of delay should be communicated right away, it’s basic courtesy. I ended up wasting more than an hour just to be told they couldn’t get to me. This has become a pattern over my last few oil changes here: long, unexplained waits every time. I originally started coming when it was Qwick Lube and things moved quickly. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. I’m now looking for other options in Eagle River because this just isn’t working anymore.

Was the last oil change of the day last night. The tech forgot to reattach the protective shield that had to be removed to access the filter. Half mile down the road I get flagged down by a Good Samaritan who tells me I’m dragging something under my car. I pullover find 9 out of 10 connectors not installed. All in good shape. I called this morning to ask them to talk to the tech. They apologized and said they would. Then hung up. They didn’t ask my name or vehicle info so I’m not sure who they are going to counsel. I’d suggest going elsewhere for service. To be fair - the individual who checked me in for my oil change was professional, knowledgeable and very communicative. Great News - Juan, the General Manager, called me a day or two later to get a better understanding of my concerns. His objective was to let me know how important customer experiences are to him and the Eagle River team and it was imperative that he make the situation right for me. All I asked is that they have a stand down with the crew to review opportunities to be better. It was refreshing to hear from a decision maker and I’ve changed my review based on Juan’s follow-up. I’d recommend giving them a visit.

Rob and Q were great help, I didn't know what was wrong with my car and have been freaking out about it so they took a look at it. They told me what was wrong, how to fix it, how much I can get it fixed for, and where I can get it fixed all in a small amount of time. All of this was a simple and straightforward enjoyable process, I even learned some new things about my car.

While I have been coming to point s for oil changes /tire change overs this place has been great on helping me take care of my car by keeping me informed on the care and checking over the car filters, the lights and the rest of their checklist. The first come first serve line can be long some days but once they start they have my car out in reasonable time with polite service people to talk to

I was sitting in the lobby for 15 to 20 minutes, I definitely locked eyes with a couple technicians and not one of them came over to ask any questions. When I turned around it looked as if there were other vehicles being shuttled in and worked on who had shown up after I did. If I was notified that they were scheduled appointments I would have absolutely scheduled my own. It is unlikely that I will be bringing my personal vehicle or my business vehicles.

Simard is close to home and always gets me in quickly for my oil changes, filter replacements and tire rotations. It’s first come, first serve, but they do a good job getting you back on the road and will text you the photos of items that are recommended to be fixed or remedied. Their staff are always friendly and informative as well.

Seems like they changed owners and up charging. Never had a problem for the past 8 years and went on Thursday and tried to uncharge $500 fees...stay away. Car is 2024 and now the heater is making a noise.

Great service. Went about 1 1/2 before closing time and explained that I was having a problem with my battery. They test the battery w 2 different devices and showed me that both said that the battery was bad. They had one in stock and replaced them right away.

My husband went to Eagle River Point S Auto & Tire for a simple oil change, hoping to support a local small business. Unfortunately, this shop turned what should have been a $209 service into an attempted $559 charge. The shop is rude and shows no customer service skills. More concerning, they tried to trick us by charging for one part (fuel filter) twice, listing it under two different names to make it appear that two separate items were needed — but they were only providing one. Both parts were identical, yet one was marked up about 161%, and another an outrageous 682% over market value. This deceptive pricing may violate Alaska’s Consumer Protection Act, which prohibits unfair and misleading business practices, and I am tempted to file a complaint. After this experience, I can only imagine how they’re tricking others who come here — especially elderly customers or women who may not understand or just can’t make these mechanical repairs themselves. What happened to good and honest people running businesses with integrity? Advice to other customers: If you’ve had service done here, check your receipts carefully to ensure you weren’t double-charged or misled about what was replaced. Supporting local shops shouldn’t mean getting taken advantage of. I’m attaching photos of the receipt with the “recommended” fuel filter ($126 & $165), which we purchased for $49.49, and the cabin filter ($59), which we purchased for $18.99.

I came in because I was told by another mechanic I needed a coolant flush, and they were kind enough to triple check the PH/boiling points multiple times before confirming I did not, in fact, need one. They ended up just cleaning my windows, topping my fluids, and sending me on my way free of charge. Everyone was so helpful, and Kadeem was absolutely wonderful with my truck! Truly a great and trustworthy shop
